White chocolate mocha with coffee jelly
Bianca R.

This place was great!!! We decided to leave the city before rush hour. Stumbled upon this place! Place was empty and we were quickly greeted! I asked questions about coffee options. I ended up getting the white chocolate mocha with coffee jelly!! YUM!! There is plenty of seating and two couches!

My husband and I came here to satisfy our late-night boba cravings, and we were pleasantly surprised by how late Liquid Fusion stays open. Another plus was the huge parking lot with tons of space. We got a mango fruit freeze and an avocado fruit freeze. The name "fruit freeze" can be a bit misleading because you might think the drinks will be icy, but ours was blended smoothly, which we prefer. I believe they used real fruit in the drinks, and the boba was bouncy. Service was standard. The cashier just did his job, nothing extra. The atmosphere was very lively but felt crowded. All the seats inside were filled, and there was a long line at 10pm on a Wednesday night. The way the line is set up, people get squeezed between tables and the counter space. It can be uncomfortable.

Came in here for a quick boba drink fix. Loved all the flavors they offered. We had the Taro, Thai Tea, and Green Tea Latte and each one tasted so fresh. We add the jelly's to each of the drinks and it was great. The service is fast and they have a cute seating area. Do check out this place for crazy good boba drinks. Drinks are delicious and not overly sweet.

So we have been coming here for over a decade, started when we were in high school-- in fact, we used to trek all the way down to Glenview for the original store! This place has been the go-to place for my generation of Asian Americans. We also have seen it renovated and changed throughout the years. The wifi and password never changed and that the "smile, you are on camera" has stayed the same also. Their menu expanded a whole lot throughout the years. Some of my favorites had been Java chip with mocha, taro bubbletea (the only other place in the northern suburbs with it besides Joy Yee's in Chinatown, back in the days), and mixed fruit freezes. It's been over two years since I last got Liquid Fusion due to the pandemic, so I went with the default taro bubbletea and tapioca (can't go wrong) and a freeze for my husband and kids. Taro bubbletea with tapioca -- rich, deep purple color and taro flavor, although maybe I'm just not used to the strong taro flavor anymore, it is recognizably from milktea powders (I could be wrong). Tapioca has a caramelized toasted flavor to it and chewy but not hard. Fruit freeze with papaya, lychee, and coconut with lychee jelly-- this is a really good combo because all the fruits have faint and light fragrance so it's not super overpowering like mango or honeydew. I typically like to mix lighter flavors together, otherwise I just get mango or honeydew by itself. This blend was perfect. The lychee jelly really elevates the lychee flavor. I might replace papaya or lychee with peach next time to change things up. The papaya does give it a nice soft orange color though. Happy drinking!

Plenty of parking, fast service, and good variety on their menu. Most importantly, their tapioca boba was satisfyingly bouncy and a good sweetness. Prices weren't outrageous (I don't want to pay $8 for bubble tea before tax and tip -_-").

Meh. I got the taro milk tea (hot) in regular size. The flavor is just ok: too sweet, and you cannot even ask for less sugar cause it's pre-made ingredient. I mixed the milk tea with some milk after I came back home. Finally it tasted drinkable to me. Taro flavor is weird. I would not get this drink again. Service was slow and not good as it used to be.

Strawberry & Banana is yummy. Tastes a bit artificial, but I still like it. Their tapioca balls are very yummy. Tastes like brown sugar. I would definitely go again.

Taro and coconut freeze. Best drink I've ever had

Came here for a nice treat. I got the taro freeze and asked if they could add coconut which they said could. We also ordered a chai tea latte, blueberry/raspberry freeze, and a watermelon/strawberry freeze with strawberry popping bubbles. None of us were disappointed. The chai tea was very good and sweet, the fruit freezes were refreshing and delicious. After taking one sip of my taro coconut freeze, I was speechless. It's the best drink I've ever had. It was more creamy than icy and I absolutely loved the flavor. Not sure how to describe it but if you like ube, it's almost like that. So sweet and delicious. Even has a fun purple color. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

This location of Liquid Fusion is a bigger place compared to their Northbrook location. I just recently discovered this location. I have been to their Northbrook location a handful of times. I like going to Liquid Fusion to have their Fruit Freeze drinks. I like them a lot. This location seemed to have more variety on the menu. Since it's a bigger place they have more sitting room. The prices are reasonable and the service is good. I ordered two fruit freeze drinks. One was Mango + Coconut combo (for my wife) and other one was Lemon + Raspberry + Mango combo with tapioca (for me). Both were good. I would definitely go back to this location, especially since it's located across from Regal Lincolnshire cinemas and a few shops down from a Red Robin burger restaurant. They are open till 1 A.M. so if you have a late night craving for any of their drinks, then it's good to stop by. It's also a good place to chill and hang out. Check them out if you haven't yet.

Stopped in as my son lives everything boba. It's wheelchair accessible. Open seating. I went with the strawberry, peach raspberry freeze with strawberry pop bubble and it was so fresh and refreshing. Loved the pops! Just the right amount of sweetness. My son got a tropical type freeze with boba. He downed it! And loved it. Will def be trying again!

Always appreciate their boba options and flavors but it was a little dingy. Would still return and have been there many times.

This place was such an experience from start to finish. One of our favorite surprises was the self-serve ramen bar. It was quick, easy, and so much fun! They had a great variety of ramen options, making it easy for everyone to pick exactly what they wanted. We also couldn't resist trying the affogato, which was the perfect little treat. For dessert, we tried both the Misugaru Bingsoo and the Strawberry Ube Bingsoo. I absolutely loved that you can customize your bingsoo with any of their homemade ice cream flavors, and you can even choose between a cup or a bowl. The bingsoo is made with incredibly creamy shaved milk ice, topped with generous scoops of their homemade ice cream and delicious toppings. It was light, fluffy, creamy, and so refreshing. And the ube croffle...I'm still dreaming about it! It was soft, buttery, and crispy all at the same time. It reminded me of a funnel cake topped with ice cream--but somehow even better. It came with the biggest scoop of ice cream, and one thing we noticed throughout our visit was how generous every scoop was. The Asian-inspired ice cream flavors are unlike anything we've had before. Every flavor we tried was rich, creamy, and left us wanting another bite. Our kids absolutely devoured the Oreo ice cream and kept asking for more. This was the perfect family outing. There truly is something for everyone here, whether you're craving ramen, bubble tea, bingsoo, croffles, affogato, or unique homemade ice cream. Next time, I can't wait to try their bubble tea and bring home a few pints of ice cream to enjoy later. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, especially to our kids, which made the whole experience even more memorable. We felt so comfortable from the moment we walked in. We'll definitely be back again. Thank you so much for having us!! (I didn't get a chance to take more pictures as our family completely devoured everything so quickly!)

We ordered the Matcha Brown Sugar Latte and Mango Bingsoo topped with Alphonso mango ice cream. The Brown Sugar Matcha Latte was really good, especially if you're someone who loves a strong matcha flavor. The matcha definitely comes through, which I appreciate! The boba, though, was a little disappointing for me. The pearls were on the tougher side and almost tasted like they weren't fully cooked. Next up, the Mango Bingsoo. I liked the texture of the vanilla shaved ice--it was light, soft, and melted nicely. The toppings included fresh mango, mochi bites, and corn flakes, plus that Alphonso mango ice cream on top. While it was good overall, I was hoping for a much stronger mango flavor. With "mango" being the star of the dessert, I wanted that fruity flavor to really stand out.

Despite this, though, the space itself was decorated well and was sweet, with chalk murals on the walls and cute plushies and figurines placed around the space. One thing I wish could've been different are the menus... there's one on a TV screen hanging on the wall. The physical copies were fine but even for me I felt like the print was a bit small, my parents struggled to read it a bit. Nothing crazy and I know I'm probably being a little OCD about it, but it was something I noticed. Service - met the owners who were extremely kind and friendly, they were really happy to chat with me and my family. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Food - my family and I shared an order of the beef noodle soup, minced pork rice, and popcorn chicken. I felt like the beef noodle soup and the minced pork rice were a little under seasoned. Aside from that, the meats themselves were cooked really well and the noodles were a great texture. The popcorn chicken was really good, probably my favorite out of the three dishes. I did order an oolong milk tea as well - I wouldn't recommend it, it tasted a little funky like it was made with a low grade powder. Overall not a bad experience, but just not quite the Taiwanese food experience I had hoped for.

Super cool-- that's how they roll!…read more It's been a while since I tried rolled ice cream (at another place) but this sounded fun, so why not? There are two entrances, and you order from the kiosk. You can order from their menu, or build your own flavor. It goes like this, they add your flavor and mixins plus cream to a super cold plate. They mash it up with what looks like paint scrapers, then spread this mixture paper thin. Then they scrape it, making thin rolls of ice cream. The workers are super meticulous-- this is hard work. They're going to have amazing biceps at the end of this summer! Be patient -- this process is not quick -- everything is made to order; you see exactly what goes into your flavor and it's mesmerizing to watch. I ordered Coffee Lovers flavor -- and I watched them pour coffee, cream and 1 graham cracker and make that into coffee ice cream. Now, they added whipped cream and caramel sauce too, so there's that. My friend ordered Key Lime, and their order was juice from a lime wedge, cream, and one graham cracker. It was also topped with a toasted marshmallow -- so cute! The resulting flavors are not very rich -- kind of like a flavored ice milk -- but there are times when that's what you want. They also offer smoothies, lattes and bubble tea (looked amazing). What's cooler than being cool? Ice cold!

You may be better off ordering online. We ordered their mango lychee special rolled ice cream with extra lychee boba. The ice cream was very tasty, light and very full of fresh fruity flavor. Now with the cicadas gone we were able to enjoy the treat at their very pleasant outdoor seating area. We will definitely consider going back when we want a special 'cheer up' treat again!
