This is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. It's not big inside. They have about 4 tables inside and 2 tables outside (during warmer weather). All of the staff were pretty nice and attentive. I was surprised to see a large population of Asians in the area. There were a lot of Asian customers so I felt that this place was very authentic. They have two kiosks to order from or you can order from the cashier. We got matcha mango yogurt, dragon fruit & mango yogurt, matcha strawberry blueberry bingsu, and matcha tiramisu cheesecake. Both of the yogurt drinks were palatable and not sweet. The matcha strawberry blueberry bingsu was one of the highlights. The green tea flavor was really prominent during each bite. The strawberries and blueberries were placed on the top and bottom, so make sure you mix it up. We took the cheesecake home. We let it thaw for 90 mins at room temperature. It was ready to eat. It is expensive for a small cheesecake but there was a lot of flavor. It has a smooth, creamy texture. The matcha tiramisu combination was perfect. Yummy probiotic yogurt drinks! I definitely recommend people to try it out. My favorite flavors are strawberry/mango and purple rice. They also do bingsu which is similar to shaved iced! These were yummy yogurt treats! Very thick, creamy, yogurt. The Mango Yogurt was made with fresh mangoes. The pineapple one had canned pineapples but I liked the fresh fruit component as opposed to powders to flavor the yogurt. It is recommended to enjoy within 30 minutes -- but we had transported and refrigerated some and it was still enjoyable several hours later. The staff was very friendly and diligently prepared orders during a very busy hour with many patrons. We had to wait for while but the staff was really great managing the wait times. The Croffles took a really long time to prepare. The Original was our favorite. The creme in the middle had a mousse-like texture which was enveloped by a croissant that was pressed into a waffle maker. The Matcha flavor Croffle was the least favorite. It was too bitter for my liking. The logo and decor is cute and simple. The store was clean and bright. I would like to see maybe one more table or seating in the open area at the front of the store. Ran into this place and decided to try. A boba shop that sells yogurt drinks. What I was curious about was the bingsu. I tried their matcha strawberry bingsu. Very interesting. I've had bingsu before and this was different cause I think they used yogurt so it didn't have that shaved ice taste. I wish they added a little more strawberries. I love ice cream. I love it so much that I actively seek out new places to try their take on my favorite treat. Hey Yogurt was no exception. And since Buffalo Grove is devoid of good ice cream, I was happy to see that we had a new frozen yogurt place... ...and that's how I stumbled upon Hey Yogurt...and then quickly stumbled out of Hey Yogurt. It is NOT an ice cream place. If you like Greek yogurt in shake form, then sure, this place is for you. If you like ice cream or frozen yogurt and think this place will quench your thirst for frozen yogurt, you're sadly mistaken. We walked in and took a look at the menu and were confused because it spoke of shakes and Greek yogurt concoctions with ice chips blended in, but no frozen yogurt anywhere on the menu. The cashier asked if we were ready and that's when I asked about whether this was a frozen yogurt place or something different. She laughed and then said (and I kid you not), "everybody who comes in gets us mixed up for a frozen yogurt place. Isn't that funny?" No. No it's not. Just put that information on your sign, or a sign in the window. Or on your menu. Have fun with it. Just let people know before they walk in and start getting invested to realize they made a mistake and then look like fools walking out. I actually felt embarrassed walking out, totally unsatisfied that they weren't a frozen treat place. It was awkward. So, be a doll and create a sign, or let dopey people like me know that you are definitely not a frozen yogurt place. read more

The staff member was incredibly helpful at explaining all the options and patiently allowed us to narrow down our choices. The drinks had the creamy consistency reminiscent of a milk shake but with a healthy guilt-free yogurt smoothness to it. Or like a kid's Danimals yogurt drink but with much fresher and richer ingredients haha. Ive tried Hey Yogurt multiple times now with my family and was honestly impressed! The texture is super smooth and creamy -- not too thick, not too runny -- just right. I had the strawberry mango and matcha oreo/matcha lychee flavors, and it tasted fresh and perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. I liked that you can also choose the level of sweetness you want. I do wish you could also pick and choose to add additional fruits/ingredients, but as of now you are limited to their preselected combinations on their menu. You can also out your cell # in their system so you can start earning loyalty points. I ordered the Matcha Strawberry bingsu. The frozen matcha came out of the machine in tiny frozen rolls. It was a creamy texture once it melts in your mouth and fresh diced strawberries and layered in between in frozen matcha. It was a great combination.
