Everyone wants their fix!

Delicious! Stopped in for a quick coffee and I was pleasantly surprised by how busy they were! They said it was actually a chill Saturday as it's typically a line out the door! At any rate, line moved quickly and I was greeted with a friendly face that was happy to answer my questions. I ended up going with a house special iced coffee and ordered my wife a matcha as that's her go to. I don't personally know a ton about Matcha but I do know it matters how it's prepared and they took their time with it My coffee is very tasty and her matcha hit the spot for her. Overall solid coffee shop will return!

A new coffee shop located in the heart of downtown Libertyville. Although it may not be on the main street, it is not one to miss. We came by around 10am on a Saturday morning and the place was packed. We walked up to the counter and there was about 15-20 ish orders in front of us. We ordered the horchata chai and the banana bread matcha. We waited about 10 minutes before we realized it might take a little bit and were able to support some local businesses and come back just in time for our names to be called. The horchata chai definitely had a chai spice to it, and the banana bread matcha tasted as if there was banana bread at the bottom of the cup. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of their other beverages.

TLDR - The Black Forest Coffee drink is great!…read more Full Review First to note: I'm a big coffee person and love drinking my coffee black in the morning. I will almost always pick black coffee over lattes, cappuccinos, and other classic combinations that would potentially mask the flavor notes of good quality coffee. The exceptions are specialty coffee drinks that have some unique combination of ingredients (aside from just different syrup flavors). But even then, I admit I'm a bit wary of having tried many cafes where these specialty drinks end up being too sweet. I've passed by Cherry & Coffee Cafe many times in Hawthorn mall in the past without giving it a second thought because of the very thing I mentioned above - likening it to cafes with overly sweet drinks. On this particular day, which happened to be Father's Day, I was in the area and looking for something caffeinated in the afternoon. I happened to glance at Cherry & Coffee Cafe's menu on google and saw something called "Black Forest Coffee", which was described as being made with chocolate syrup and maraschino cherries. This sounded intriguing enough that I ventured over to give it a shot. It somehow didn't click in my mind that this wasn't black coffee (I had interpreted/misread the description as having notes of chocolate and cherry). It finally hit me when I was ordering my drink and the barista asked me which milk I wanted (it's also quite possible I got confused because "coffee" was in the name instead of "latte"). I decided to go ahead with my order anyway since I had already made the trip over. Long story short, I was VERY surprised that the Black Forest Coffee drink was both not too sweet and quite good! My wife is especially picky with sugar levels (think Kung Fu Tea's milk tea with 0% sugar because she thinks the boba already adds enough sugar) and even she enjoyed it. So thanks to this happy accident, I think I will be back in the future to try their other offerings! Full description of Black Forest Coffee (found on my receipt): Espresso, chocolate sauce, maraschino cherries juice, shaved chocolate, maraschino cherries, milk or alternative milk

My daughter ordered a savory salmon crepe, and it was also very tasty. I will be recommending this cafe because I really liked it.

Clean enough to eat off the floors. The tea was delicious but I'm just not a fan of tapioca balls regardless. My sister in law said they were the best they've had and they drink boboa tea all the time. It was also nice to see that they use fresh ingredients instead of being so processed. We got the Oreo milk (lactaid) drink and my family got the oolong tea! Both were great! I'm not sure if we will come back but that's only due to the fact that we're not boboa tea people! If you are one of those people this is the place to go!

When I brought it back, the man working behind the counter was very kind and he said he will change it for me and the reason the drink is probably so sweet is because almond milk is already sweetened. He then said the reason he gave me brown sugar Boba is because the regular tapioca pearls were not done cooking. I'm not sure why he didn't tell me this before he gave me the drink. Either way he remade the drink and used regular milk powder, but this still tasted nothing like Taro And the drink was brown in color . The tapioca balls are very low quality also. Taro is supposed to be PURPLE
