This is one of my favorite little coffee shops. They're right by the lake so if it's warm enough to sit outside, take that opportunity. Everyone is so friendly here and they're speedy with making your drinks. They do offer a few pastries, but there is no kitchen so don't get confused... you go for the coffee (or tea or hot chocolate). I almost always order a Samoas latte which is exactly what you think. And absolutely delicious! I have recently ventured to order the Caramel Turtle and I would also highly recommend it. I like to set up here with my laptop and knock out work, but this would also be a great spot to catch up with a friend. There's a variety of seating and great wifi, perfect for all occasions. And while you're here, look at the displayed art. Most of it is for sale and I have found some really cool artists and pieces because of this local spot. read more

When I'm done a-startin' fights at Z's or Hello Folks, I do my swervy fists-down forward-lurching strut over here for a nice coffee. I even put a shirt on! It's a great local non-corporate coffee joint this town sorely needed. Great drinks, chill atmosphere, and the baristas are always very sweet. For the business I hope word gets out, but also I kinda Gollum-like want to keep this "mine"! Love the atmosphere here, it is truly a good hangout and I hope the tip of the spear with cool new stuff to come into the area. On the downside, there ain't enough Crue or Scorps playing. Now off I go for more hard guy activities, with the newfound energy and confidence only caffeine can provide. read more

Small selection of danishes to go with your coffee. This coffee shop has cozy little rooms with comfortable furniture to kick back and relax or you can find a table on the patio, which is generally my preference if the weather is nice. read more

This past weekend was dedicated to small businesses right after black friday. In my travels, I came across this hidden treasure of a coffee shop. I was out for getting breakfast with a friend, and the place we wanted to go to wasn't open. So we decided to get some coffee and see if we could eat here. In our surprise, the options were small: donuts, muffins, and bagels to have with your coffee. Most people would have just then walked right back out and left. We stayed, and the reason why was due to the awesome atmosphere of this business. We received get knowledge of the different types of coffee as well as teas. Heard about how the business began, as well as that hometown feeling that lacks today in many businesses. The owner is a fireman who has a passion for bringing the community together in places he can spice up to make everyone feel at home. He hires staff who have pride in working for him. He travels and brings back to this little location new flavors to try from other countries. As we waited for our delicious coffees, some guests at the time were asking questions to us. This was how we found out so much about this place. We happened to be talking to the owner and another business partner of his. He asked me once I got my coffee, " may I ask how your coffee is?" That's when I realized," Oh shoot, it's the owner, be honest or lie went through my thoughts. If anyone knows by now I give my personal opinion of my honesty, so I sipped and said "nice flavor, not to chocolate lying and the caramel on top works great:, now to see what the after taste will be like. The owner looked at me and said after taste? I said yes, will the taste of your coffee sit on my taste buds and say wow thats so good." " I need more and make me want to return. He said I guess I'll find out once you come back." As I was about to leave, I informed the owner I'll be back. It's a great lasting after taste! I am excited to try his Amsterdam Espresso foam coffee. Now, 4 days later, my mouth is watering up for their coffee. Pricing does range between $3.50 - 6.50, in my opinion right up there with the big league places. It's just better. My 2nd time here! But this time my coffee was not good! I had the new flavor, the coconut dream and I did not taste an ounce of coconut at all and it just wasn't good. It was a bummer since my first time it was so tasty, maybe it was the barista and how she made it because it wasn't the same one that made it. I love finding local coffee places instead of chains. This is a good find. I'm on vacation and passed it and asked the people I was with if they been there and they all said no. So, I decided after my walk today to stop in and so glad I did. They have a lot of fun drinks to choose from and happy they offer almond and oat milk. I had the iced snickerdoodle with oat milk and it was amazing. Coffee don't taste burnt and smells good. Cute shop with indoor as well as outdoor seating. Prices are the same as the chain shops. I would call this a hidden gem and will be back each time I'm in town. It reminds me of the one close to my house. read more
