I always get a blended fruit of coffee drink. Strawberry, mango, and honeydew are my favorite fruity flavors. The blended coffees are better than a Frappuccino in my opinion. My drink is always made quickly and everyone who works there has been really helpful and kind. The quality is consistent with their other locations. For me, an alright spot to enjoy a drink. While not as fancy as some other spots closer to the city, this does provide an above average selection of different coffee, milk tea, freeze, and hot drink options for the area. There is also some pastry options including cakes, brownies, cookies, muffins, and more. This spot is not as busy as the Northbrook location, which is good if you're looking for a more relaxing spot to casually enjoy your drinks or hangout with friends. Prices are fair, not the cheapest you'll find but in line with this area of the suburbs. They also have tapioca, jelly, popping bubble, and crystal bubble if you want some variety. Overall, a relaxing spot to enjoy Asian inspired bubble tea and other drinks in the area with a good selection and fair prices. read more

I've been to the Liquid Fusion in Glenview and was excited to try this location. My husband and a friend went here to get some drinks after dinner. We ordered the Cookies and Cream Coffee Freeze. It was really good. We got the no caffeine option because it was late at night. The vibe at this location was different than the other shop. There were some fun wall decorations but it was much less busy. This shopping area in general is busier during the week than it is during the weekend. The floor was dirty and sticky and I saw ants on the floor. For their delicious drinks, I recommend Liquid Fusion. read more

Been here a few times and the guy making our drinks has always been helpful and accommodating. He has let my daughter taste before committing to a flavor and the vibe is very neighborhoody and personal. Last time we were there a group of middle school looking kids were hanging out and the man was very patient with them explaining all of their options to them. Will be back. read more

I was very excited to stop in here while in Deerfield for the day. I love another location of Liquid Fusion and love that place so I figured this would be a similar experience. They have tons of options on the menu, everyone could find something here. They have large menus in the TVs which are nice too. The service was quick but I did feel a bit unwelcome during my visit. Luckily I checked out the menu prior to stopping in so I could prep my order because I felt so rushed by the cashier while looking at the menu, though I was the only customer there. Outside of this, my drinks were great. The fruit drinks are or atleast taste like real fruit which is rare for boba places in my opinion so this was a pleasant surprise. read more

After a very joyous meal next door at Taco Vida, we thought some bubble tea would make for the perfect dessert and help replenish us after a long day of July 4th celebrations. Saw under their specialty freezes that they had a "Melon-ah" flavor, and we got excited because we thought it'd be a liquified version of the Melona ice cream bar. The flavor was there but it was pretty faint. The drink also just seemed very diluted. The tapioca was not as fresh and chewy as I'd hoped. They have many other drink options that are coffee (they use Illy) or tea-based. They also sell pastries like muffins, bagels, and cookies! Plenty of seating for a bubble tea place. The facilities are clean, the service is fast, and the smoothies are good! I would recommend looking at the menu before coming in as they get really busy at times and the service is done very fast. So I've been going to the Northbrook location when it first opened when I was in high school (I am old now), I had the milk tea bubble tea there recently last year and it was bad, so bad that I threw it away after one sip. As of recent I thought okay, I'll try the Deerfield one, same thing. It even gave my wife a stomach ache. I'm pretty sure they changed the powder, it's got this chemical-y/artificial taste to it and it leaves a really weird mouth feel. Do not get the milk tea bubble tea! read more

Bubble tea is one of my secret vices. I couldn't contain my excitement when I saw Bubble Joy Cafe's sign as we headed to dinner at a restaurant nearby. My enthusiasm was so over the top that my husband knew we would be making a stop after dinner before I could even suggest it. The cafe itself is cute. It's brightly lit with an abundance of vibrant color. There's plenty of seating (and lots of outlets if you're going to stay and work or just need to charge your phone). The menu board is hanging above the counter. I wish there was more detail on it -- there's a section for special teas but there's no description of what makes them special. My husband, who had never had bubble tea before, had questions that I was able to answer. I had a strawberry tea with orange popping boba. It was excellent -- strong flavors and plenty of boba. My husband had blueberry tea with strawberry boba and enjoyed it. I'd like to go back and sample some of their coffee drinks as well as find out if they have non-frozen tea options. As a long time resident of Deerfield, I am always excited to see a new cactus in this culinary desert of a town. We have had some new additions recently, and I am excited to be the first to review Bubble Joy Cafe. Located in the same strip mall known for the DMV, Blackies, Sachs, Tile store and a place for all your knitting needs. Bubble Joy Cafe is a few storefronts down from Sachs Center. As you can see the decor is warm and inviting. They have pillows on the benches which is a nice touch. The paints colors have a nice California vibe. My daughter Naomi and I tried the mango bubble tea (large), which we shared. Flavor was o.k., not a ton of flavor, but that could be due to the time of year and our location. It's Mango season somewhere, right? Cost. $6.50. Seems a bit high, but Naomi did count 57 tapioca that she counted one by one. There are lots of other things on the menu. Looking forward to trying them all. Now, with the Jimmy Thai, Ramen Time, and Bubble Joy we just need a foot massage place in this mall to make it complete. it's been about several years since I've been to a liquid fusion cafe. I was looking forward to the visit given I have always enjoyed the drinks when I used to live here. I visited on a weekend evening, cafe was empty (no problem ). Ordered a boba drink with guy behind registrar looking more annoyed he had a customer. no problem, maybe a long slow day. Now to the main issue..not sure if anyone has ever had old refrigerated boba , but what happens to the tapioca is that the gel solidifies and hardens, is hard to chew. Now Ive only done that once , and learned my lesson that it's not worth refrigerating old boba. Now you would think that on a weekend the cafe would make sure the tapioca was fresh ...but complete opposite. immediately when I tried the it, the tapioca was extremely hard to chew. I don't expect a perfect experience but did I just pay $5 to have a specialty drink that tasted like it was prepared yesterday ? it was a very disappointing experience , will not be returning. read more

I have been going to the Northbrook and Deerfield location for some time now and I think I prefer the Deerfield location. Space wise it's a little bigger than the Northbrook location and there's an employee there that makes the drinks just right and not too sweet. My favorite drinks are mango/peach with a little bit lychee jelly. I say a little bit because the normal amount would take up 1/3 of the cup. Another drink I recommend is a taro freeze with a little tapioca. *Tip: You can call ahead to have your drink ready so you can be out the door even faster! read more

I have always loved liquid fusion and normally go to the northbrook location but stopped by here while at the dmv. The staff was nice and fast. The boba smoothies were good as always. I got the strawberry honeydew with tapioca and strawberry dream with tapioca per usual and they were both good. Haven't been to a liquid fusion in a while but prices have gone up a ton. A regular was like $6 with tax. This is a bit pricier than other places but worth it for the specialty flavors like the strawberry dream and melonah. Liquid fusion will always have a special place in my heart and worth a visit if you haven't tried it but def not a cheap spot anymore :''(( read more
