Aspen Hollow - Deck that overlooks the city of Granby

    Aspen Hollow

We were in town for a wedding, and with a small toddler didn't want to spend 4+ hours of one day in…read morethe car so we decided to stay over. We had looked for a hotel in the area but none had great reviews, so we hunted for a BnB. Luckily we found Aspen Hollow, such a nice place to stay. We arrived and were greeted by Marilyn, shown a great and comfortable room, and were treated to a couple glasses of wine before we turned in. This place has a lot to offer, there is a recreational space with hot tub, sauna and big screen tv with tons of movies, as well as a separate great room for peaceful relaxation as it overlooks the valley of Granby and has a huge fireplace that must be amazing in the winter. We got up in the morning to coffee waiting for us, and a delicious breakfast, fresh fruit, powdered sugar french toast and sausage. I am so glad we stayed here. I was hesitant at first because there wasn't a lot of info about this place but it turned out to be a great decision. We will be going back for sure. A couple of things I will say that were unique about this place that really struck me as fantastic and unusual. First, the quality of the building is pretty high, the floors are tile and heated, so in the great room on the mail floor your feet are warmly greeted in the morning for breakfast. Another thing I noticed is there are a lot of quality in the details. The bed was extremely comfortable, the linens were top notch. Many times when staying in places such as these, and others like vbro or airbnb you find that people just want to make a buck without giving a quality overall experience. Many times you find that people cheap out, and this place does not. The level of quality is very high, so high that despite not having family or anything in Granby, we will likely go back to just relax for a few days because it was such a good experience. I would recommend checking this place out.

Fireside inn was a GREAT find. I was coming in late (8p) and leaving early ish (7:30a) so really I…read morejust wanted a safe place to shower and sleep. I found fireside online and it was by far the most affordable option in Breckenridge for a single night so I went for it in a two person dorm, and luckily I happened to be the only one in that room that night! The room was definitely snug but it was cozy and very comfortable and I slept very well. Finding the place was also very easy, they provide very clear instructions and there is plenty of parking at the church across the street (just mind their specific parking instructions and you won't have any trouble). Re: the interior: it's actually a very large place with two full baths and one half bath. I never even saw/heard another guest when I came but again it was late. The vibe was that it was a very comfy, chill place - they have soothing music playing over by the office door where the coffee/tea machines are, and there is a small kitchen and living room area. They had a real fire going in the living room area and there were games and books and lots of "things to do" brochures around, so truly it felt like being in a cozy cabin. I genuinely really loved that vibe. Not to mention it's quite close to the main road - you could easily walk but because it was raining heavily the night I came, I did drive all of 3 minutes to avoid walking 15 in the rain to the bar on Main Street I wanted to go to. They also sent me a text when i came in case i had questions, so they are available to help you. Overall - if you're coming and staying here for just a night or two and all you need is a bed/shower/safe space, this place is GREAT. Admittedly the rooms aren't big (at least mine wasn't), but again as a solo traveler it was fine. Would def rec to friends :)

The…read morebrand-new bed is amazingly comfortable, but so is the trundle Daybed with tons of pillows -- easy to collapse onto after brisk walks in the chilly Breck air! Sturdy, grated outside steps lead to this suite, for safe access and for privacy. The location is unbeatable, just a 3-block walk to town and to all of the shops and restaurants. The "Free Ride" city bus stops in front of the Fireside Inn, and can take you to the Gondola and Breck Station, if you don't feel like making the 7-minute walk. [Tip: Epic Mountain Express shuttle vans from the airport can drop you directly at the Fireside Inn!] Our host Madi communicated beautifully before and during our visit. She and her family have put a lot of love and thought into making this a warm refuge from the cold and excitement that is Breckenridge.

Excellent breakfast and social hour. Just 1/2 block off main street. Just 15 rooms. Fills up during winter. During summer usually 10 guests. Would be hard to find anything comparable like this!

Like a well-oiled machine, the amenities and staff reflect a masterfully run operation. Tasteful decor and clear signage welcome you to relax, enjoy their afternoon wine and tapas or schedule a massage. It's very clean and appointed nicely. Touted as the ONLY Inn within the United States which roasts its own imported coffee beans, I can attest to the deliciousness of these beans. My favorite was the Brazilian Light Roast as it was smooth and rich. One can grab a mug and have hot coffee or tea or any of their multiple beverage selections for a small fee. As it's currently winter, the indoor spaces have warm fireplaces and cozy chairs and tables to relax by. One can borrow a DVD for their room or exercise in the basement activity room. Our room was extraordinarily cozy with an amazing and comfortable king size bed with fresh bedding as well as a little electric fireplace and lots of lighting options. A white noise machine was made available as were fans and robes and bathroom amenities. I really enjoyed not having to carry around a key in my pocket or even a rfid card as the rooms have codes on the electronic locks. Very intelligent design. The kitchen offers a plethora of delicious items included with our reservation as well as food for purchase and every morning one can choose a hot meal prepared however you like as well as hot oatmeal, various cereals and yogurts and fresh fruits. It's quite delightful and convenient. The owner Bruce and his staff are always available to satisfy your every need and make sure you're comfortable. I give high praise for this elegant and well run facility and would love to one day own and run a place just like this!
