What I ate for the main

I ate the crab puff, sushi, sweet and sour chicken, vanilla ice cream, a piece of cake. The crab puff was good the sweet and sour chicken wa good, the vanilla ice cream was good but... The suchi was disappointing because the crab was so dry it made me gag and the cake was like super dry almost like a desert in my mouth and the cup I for my water was dirty and the there was a dirty spot on the wall. The service was good other then I had to wait 5 minutes for my water, and the people were nice.

Meh.. it's aiiiiiight. Lin's Grand Buffet isn't so "grand." It is clean, and the staff is nice, but I feel like it needs an upgrade. The choices are very limited. You have to pay before you are seated, and include the tip, or leave cash on the table. I guess if you're feeling extra generous, you can tip additional at the Mongolian Grill or the Sushi Bar (I saw tip jars by the sauces). The one thing I liked about it was the Mongolian Grill. You could pick whatever veggies and meats you wanted, add your sauces of choice, and noodles if you want. I didn't choose the noods, as they were too thick for my liking. I got an assortment of bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and a mix of chopped beef and pork. They also had chicken. I topped it with soy sauce, Mongolian sauce, and the teriyaki sauce. When the guy behind the counter finished cooking it for me, I added a little fried rice to complete my plate. It was good, but I would like the pieces of meat a bit bigger. The sushi station left much to be desired. I think they put cream cheese in almost every roll. I didn't know what I was getting because I didn't see labels. They didn't have sashimi, nor did they have any nigiri. They didn't even have the basics like salmon, tuna, or yellowtail. =( I got a few pieces, but I didn't know what they were. The rice seemed a little hard, but it wasn't crunchy. It was edible, and the rolls (whatever they were) tasted okay. I didn't realize until my 3rd trip up that the labels of the dishes are ON TOP of the plexiglass. Most buffets I've been to have them ON the plexiglass, so if you're short (or under 5',) I would say tiptoe or just ask someone what the dish is. That was weird. They have a small section of desserts and a salad bar. The potato salad tasted good! I didn't get dessert because there wasn't anything that tickled my fancy. They also have vanilla and chocolate soft serve. The prices here are cheap, at around $14 for lunch, it's awesome! However, the selection is very limited, and I saw a fly land on one of the soup ladles. I realize that's something they may not be able to control, but it was gross nonetheless. The review with the hair in the broccoli almost kept me from coming in, but I wanted to give Lon's a chance.I hope they can upgrade the buffet one day, and maybe I'll come back to check it out. =/

    Hot & sour soup

Our experience the day before yesterday wasn't all bad, but not very pleasant either. The food was decent for a buffet. Most items we tried we thought were fine. First thing I did was head to the Mongolian/Grill section. The steak was overcooked simply because the guy grilling it didn't understand basic English which is annoying. If your Spanish speaking staff interact with the public its up to the employer to make sure they understand common requests like "medium rare, please". It did have decent taste however. Hot & sour soup was barely luke warm. Not having immediate access to napkins in a buffet is idiotic. Waiting for your server to bring them during a busy service is frustrating. Put them EVERYWHERE Lin's!!!! It's one thing to save $, but that is NOT the right way. Not enough spicy protein options. Something other than a bunch of chicken options would be nice. No hot mustard?!? Dumb!!! Their garlic chili paste was bad. Service was just ok. Restrooms were clean. Can't see any reason to return.

Hello All, Beware this is the Worst chinese place in casa grande. I paid for a meal and clearly ate Nothing, I'm really not sure how they made it past a 1 star....the staff are either not elinglish speaking or rude. The Food! Was Horrible they have Nothing compared to the Lin's in Phoenix off Baseline. The selection is limited to nothing cold dry old food and just overall poor service with no night supervisor as requested to speak to about this location and refund. I'm truly disappointed and discussed at this locations service, food and overall performance they need to be Closed.

Plenty of seating on Sun morning.

Most buffets are a free for all, guests stampeding each other on the way to the food like starving cattle, elbows flying with a complete disregard for civilized manners. I've even seen a waitress fight a customer once in another buffet over a cheating boyfriend while my wife yelled "fight, fight, fight!" in the background like a teenager. So let's just say I haven't been a huge fan of buffets. Having said that Lin's knocked it out of the park with great food, a wide variety of dishes and a friendly staff that don't walk around looking like they hate their jobs. The price was reasonable and it was very clean inside. It is probably the best buffet I've ever been in including Vegas so I'll be back for sure.

This is my first time at Lin's. I was in the area visiting family. I am glad we can to Lin's. I like the ambience of the place. It is also very clean and the buffet line is stocked with a lot of different options. Lin's offers not only great food but great prices. I did not have enough room to have the Mongolian. I had too many other things on the buffet line to go with the Mongolian, but it looked so good seeing what other people ordered. The sushi bar was just ok. I still grabbed a couple of sushi roles. When you are getting your food do not forget about the desert bar. There are several good choices.

The prices are so reasonable and the food is fresh. They have a lot of options to choose from as well. The baby octopus was made just perfect and not too chewy. I can't wait to go back if I am ever in AZ again.

    Hair in broccoli

Absolutely disgusting but most of all the manager never came to apologize for the hair intertwined in broccoli. The food was highly salted and old. Overall a sincere apology from a manager would have prevented a horrible review. Would not go here again.

We weren't asked what spice level we want and luckily I thought of it in time because it would have been way too mild for us if I hadn't. It's a bit of a pet peeve for me to not be asked what spice level I want when there are spice levels available and for it to be assumed that I want my food mild. Once I asked, the spice levels were indicated as mild, medium, spicy, extra spicy and extra-extra spicy. We tried: -Thai Curry Vegetable with Eggplant, tofu, shiitake mushroom and potato. We asked for extra spicy which was not overly spicy but had good flavor. We got chilli crisp on the side which was actually on the spicy side here. Once I added a good amount of that I got some tears. The "Thai" curry reminded me more of a Japanese Curry and not what would hit the spot for me when I want Thai curry but it was enjoyable. I wished there was more of each element in it- More tofu, more potato etc. This dish is fully vegetarian and a good vegan option. - A sweet potato tempura sushi roll with eel sauce. - A cup of Tom Yum soup. We ordered it with fried tofu instead of the shrimp, extra spicy , and it was pretty good, especially with the chilly crisp. It does have some shrimp paste here in the broth so not vegetarian. No chicken broth or beef broth otherwise, just the shrimp paste. Service was pretty good. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite! -

I figured a Sunday afternoon would be calm, so I decided to pop in for a solo lunch. What I Ordered: - Yuzu Mule: The drink was delicious and refreshing, so I ordered a second one. Definitely order if I return as well. - Hamachi Lime Roll: This roll had an odd texture to me, and ultimately, I grabbed the rest to go as it was a little off putting to me. The flavor was decent though I found myself wishing there was more crunch with tempura flakes or panko bread crumbs on top. - Crazy Roll: The winner between the two rolls in terms of flavor and preference. Though, I wish this roll had the spicy mayo the other one had. I'd definitely order again and ask for a side of spicy mayo that I could add to the roll. Love the soy paper option! As for ambiance? I thought country music was an incredibly odd choice for this establishment hence the 4 stars versus 5 star review. I'd prefer more traditional Japanese music, or heck, even some J-Rock over American country music. I'm guessing Sunday afternoon is a slower time, so it was employee choice. Overall, I'd visit again when in the area and recommend to friends/family.

Course 2: Spicy Scallop Futomaki/hokkaido scallop / benishoga / chili crisp/ takuan / wasabi mayo. This roll tastes great, scallop tastes fresh and I love the way it was seasoned. However the rice around it was too much that I couldn't taste the scallop fully. I wouldn't get this dish again because of the rice around it was too much. Course 3: Ocean Trout Mi-Cuit/ okinawa potato croquette / citrus cream/fried capers / crispy salmon skin. I love the cream and the capers in this dish. The fish is seared. Although not much flavor in the fish itself but because of the sauce, it complements the dish well. Course 4: Dessert - Yuzu Lychee Sorbet/vanilla whisky hojicha granita. Oh my gosh, this is my favorite dish! It was so good and refreshing! The yuzu sorbet was tart and creamy. And the hojicha ice underneath was delicious! I would come back to the restaurant just for this dish and the first dish!

We arrived a little after 5pm and the restaurant was mostly empty. But in the next 20 minutes it filled up and there was open sitting at the bar only. The mood was initially quiet but quickly turned more up beat as the restaurant filled and pop rock music was playing. We asked our waiter a few questions about a few of their rolls and he was very helpful with guidance and recommendations. We ordered Salmon Lemon, Spicy Tuna, Salmon Avocado Maki and California rolls to share for two. This restaurant uses purple rice rather than traditional white rice. This was the first time we have tried a sushi roll made with purple rice and we both loved it. It added a nutty flavor and hearty texture. Purple rice is similar to wild rice and far nutritionally superior to white rice with more antioxidant and fiber. Shortly after we ordered we were served a potsticker dish. I mentioned that we did not order the item and were informed the appetizer was complementary. We thanked the server and tasted the dish. The potstickers were nicely pan fried and had a great crust and flavorful chicken filling. Delicious! About five minutes later our rolls were delivered. All were fresh tasting and delicious. Our favorite was the Salmon Lemon roll. We loved the pop the lemon added. Honorable mentions to the Spicy Tuna roll, very well done, excellent balance of heat and flavors. We truly enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended for a quality sushi experience!
