Two "BIG" Issues Now to be fair ...... our waitstaff at the table were great, always checking on us. NOW! Avoid Lin's at all costs. First Clue: We went to front desk to pay before we were seated and had a question about the bill. Cashiers comment? I have no idea, I just punch the buttons, and the machine says what it is, nothing I can do about it. Asked to speak with a manager and was advised none were on site... What????? Two: Everything was exceptionally greasy, over-battered, and tasted like it sat under a heat lamp for hours. Fish was barley cooked and soups were watery. The "spicy" mustard was just yellow mustard with zero heat. Fried rice? Bland, oily, and loaded with frozen peas/carrots that were still half-frozen. I think Lin's Grand Buffet may have had its day and is on the way out. Save your money on this one. On the plus side there was plenty of parking, which should have been another clue. read more

I ate the crab puff, sushi, sweet and sour chicken, vanilla ice cream, a piece of cake. The crab puff was good the sweet and sour chicken wa good, the vanilla ice cream was good but... The suchi was disappointing because the crab was so dry it made me gag and the cake was like super dry almost like a desert in my mouth and the cup I for my water was dirty and the there was a dirty spot on the wall. Meh.. it's aiiiiiight. Lin's Grand Buffet isn't so "grand." It is clean, and the staff is nice, but I feel like it needs an upgrade. The choices are very limited. You have to pay before you are seated, and include the tip, or leave cash on the table. I guess if you're feeling extra generous, you can tip additional at the Mongolian Grill or the Sushi Bar (I saw tip jars by the sauces). The one thing I liked about it was the Mongolian Grill. You could pick whatever veggies and meats you wanted, add your sauces of choice, and noodles if you want. I didn't choose the noods, as they were too thick for my liking. I got an assortment of bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and a mix of chopped beef and pork. They also had chicken. I topped it with soy sauce, Mongolian sauce, and the teriyaki sauce. When the guy behind the counter finished cooking it for me, I added a little fried rice to complete my plate. It was good, but I would like the pieces of meat a bit bigger. The sushi station left much to be desired. I think they put cream cheese in almost every roll. I didn't know what I was getting because I didn't see labels. They didn't have sashimi, nor did they have any nigiri. They didn't even have the basics like salmon, tuna, or yellowtail. =( I got a few pieces, but I didn't know what they were. The rice seemed a little hard, but it wasn't crunchy. It was edible, and the rolls (whatever they were) tasted okay. I didn't realize until my 3rd trip up that the labels of the dishes are ON TOP of the plexiglass. Most buffets I've been to have them ON the plexiglass, so if you're short (or under 5',) I would say tiptoe or just ask someone what the dish is. That was weird. They have a small section of desserts and a salad bar. The potato salad tasted good! I didn't get dessert because there wasn't anything that tickled my fancy. They also have vanilla and chocolate soft serve. The prices here are cheap, at around $14 for lunch, it's awesome! However, the selection is very limited, and I saw a fly land on one of the soup ladles. I realize that's something they may not be able to control, but it was gross nonetheless. The review with the hair in the broccoli almost kept me from coming in, but I wanted to give Lon's a chance.I hope they can upgrade the buffet one day, and maybe I'll come back to check it out. =/ read more

The steak was really nice, but there weren't many vegetable options to go with it. Also make sure you check your receipt. My bill was supposed to be $39 but I got charged $110!! now it's my problem to follow up with my bank to make sure I get my money back. Not a good experience. read more

Our experience the day before yesterday wasn't all bad, but not very pleasant either. The food was decent for a buffet. Most items we tried we thought were fine. First thing I did was head to the Mongolian/Grill section. The steak was overcooked simply because the guy grilling it didn't understand basic English which is annoying. If your Spanish speaking staff interact with the public its up to the employer to make sure they understand common requests like "medium rare, please". It did have decent taste however. Hot & sour soup was barely luke warm. Not having immediate access to napkins in a buffet is idiotic. Waiting for your server to bring them during a busy service is frustrating. Put them EVERYWHERE Lin's!!!! It's one thing to save $, but that is NOT the right way. Not enough spicy protein options. Something other than a bunch of chicken options would be nice. No hot mustard?!? Dumb!!! Their garlic chili paste was bad. Service was just ok. Restrooms were clean. Can't see any reason to return. read more

I spent about $300 at this establishment today for my college graduation we were a party of 13, and my brother had a epileptic attack even the Emt came and helped him and we rushed after to take him to the emergency room little did I know I forgot I had the food box in my hand and the cashier suddenly yelled and snatched it from my hands and accused me of stealing the food not that it mattered but it was only mandarins and French frys, my son's left over.... not new warm food and not to mention i can pay it. read more

First of all, the food has a lot of flavor! My favorite being the jalapeño chicken. I truly wish they had kung pao chicken, but that's just me I guess. The egg rolls are good, the ribs, and hold on to your hats, the chicken wings are as good as anywhere in town (MOST of the time) the sweet and sour sauce is different than that served at every other place in town, and not in a good way at all! There are plenty dishes that could be a little better, but plenty that are really really good. The prices are so-so. I mean I eat my money's worth but shouldn't The 2-4 should be cheaper. My granddaughter eats very little so I always feel ripped. A lot of fast food meals are near the buffet price though, so I still find it a bargain. I paid for a meal and clearly ate Nothing, I'm really not sure how they made it past a 1 star....the staff are either not elinglish speaking or rude. The Food! Was Horrible they have Nothing compared to the Lin's in Phoenix off Baseline. The selection is limited to nothing cold dry old food and just overall poor service with no night supervisor as requested to speak to about this location and refund. Most buffets are a free for all, guests stampeding each other on the way to the food like starving cattle, elbows flying with a complete disregard for civilized manners. I've even seen a waitress fight a customer once in another buffet over a cheating boyfriend while my wife yelled "fight, fight, fight!" in the background like a teenager. So let's just say I haven't been a huge fan of buffets. Having said that Lin's knocked it out of the park with great food, a wide variety of dishes and a friendly staff that don't walk around looking like they hate their jobs. The price was reasonable and it was very clean inside. It is probably the best buffet I've ever been in including Vegas so I'll be back for sure. read more

This is my first time at Lin's. I was in the area visiting family. I am glad we can to Lin's. I like the ambience of the place. It is also very clean and the buffet line is stocked with a lot of different options. Lin's offers not only great food but great prices. I did not have enough room to have the Mongolian. I had too many other things on the buffet line to go with the Mongolian, but it looked so good seeing what other people ordered. The sushi bar was just ok. I still grabbed a couple of sushi roles. When you are getting your food do not forget about the desert bar. There are several good choices. read more

The food quality is in the tank. The only thing I've enjoyed in the last 3 visits is the Bananas in the red gel. The rest is noodles and over cooked meats. Ribs had to be several days old, Sushi had an old smell and the shrimp were noticeably rubber. We're so happy this place finally opened. We waited for it last spring before we headed north for the summer. Lin's was definitely on our list to visit upon our return trip south. The food was good -- very good. At least the food was good that we tasted. The soups were delicious and servers were friendly. The restaurant was also very clean. If you're into the grill, there were lots of choices for that too. We also found the price reasonable. The only thing we did not care for was being asked about leaving a tip when having to pay in advance. We will definitely return. read more

Like most buffets, some things are good, some okay, some are just meh. The place is new and clean. Not as large as the Phoenix area buffets, there is still a lot to offer. The staff were all delightful! Very efficient and focused on cleaning up. The Mongolian grill is a delight. They also have fire-grilled thin steaks. They offer a lot of shrimp dishes (I'm allergic so can't review those!!) as well as the classic Asian dishes. There is also a sushi bar - they have shellfish free options there. The soups were a little on the thick side, but tasty. The fried wontons were also thick and not as crispy. Overall, a nice add to the Casa Grande Asian food scene. read more

I picked my granddaughter up from school and we decided to come here for our lunch. It was her first time and my second. My first time was with my husband for dinner. They have a lot of choices but I'm a little disappointed they don't have general Taos chicken or Mongolian beef. Lots of different chicken options but I only saw one beef, beef and broccoli. They have a sushi area, my granddaughter got some of that and said it was good. They also cook steaks to order for dinner and a Mongolian like grill to one side with fresh meats and veggies, think I'll try that next time. The first time everything tasted like it had been there for a while under the heat lamp minus a couple dishes. second time I went with family and it was for dinner so there was a bigger crowd of people, which means the food was better because it wasn't sitting there for hours. As for the quality and taste, I will have to say that it is below average for Chinese buffet/takeout.. especially when you take into consideration that its almost $20 per adult (with the cost of a beverage that isn't water). I was actually kind of floored how much they charged because we could've gone somewhere with a menu, would've been an improvement in quality and also would've been less/the same amount of money per plate. I know i could've gotten China king for 30-40 bucks and fed a family of four or five and still have leftovers. The first time I went was for a late lunch and they served the same stuff..so the upsell isn't for an upgrade in dishes or a bigger selection either.. TL;DR If you just want Chinese buffet I recommend going here for lunch and during their busy hours so you aren't eating old heat lamp food and get it cheaper than those dinner prices. read more

There are no signs on the sneeze guard to let you know what you are selecting. The sushi assortment was just horrible. Look over the serving line for an idea of what is on the line, ie. Hot Foods (does not mean temperature) Deserts, Mongolian Grill, Sushi etc.. Soup bowls are tucked away under the counter. You tell them what you want at the reception counter when you come in and pay there. There is a menu with prices at the counter. The buffet for two was $25.34. Pretty reasonable for unlimited trips. Food was good. Personally I didn't care for the egg drop soup but plenty were having it. The gal working the table was right on the spot taking dishes that were finished, refilling water etc.. I'm not a fan of buffets & was hesitant to try Lin's in CG, following several unhappy reviews. But, on Easter Sunday, a friend invited me to a late lunch & what I had to eat there was quite yummy. The food was hot, appeared fresh & was quite varied with my focusing on hot & sour soup, the cooked fish, pork ribs, pot stickers, noodles, stir-fried veggies, Kung Pao chicken, egg rolls and a smattering of California roll sushi, topped off by some fresh fruit and a small piece of lemon cake. I left there pleasantly full & quite happy with the entire experience. There's still many items I've yet to try, so am looking forward to returning again some day soon! read more
