Ninja Roll

When you walk in, you're greeted by a very small dining area with only about six tables. The restaurant feels more like a pickup location than a place designed for dining in. Since it was my first visit, I initially thought the host station was farther back, but it turned out to be just a wall and hallway. My biggest concern was food handling. When I arrived, my sushi was sitting out on a table, and the raw fish had become warm by the time I was able to eat it. I tried two pieces of the Rainbow Roll before deciding it wasn't safe to continue. The Rainbow Roll itself did not seem to be made with the freshest fish, and the quality was disappointing. I also ordered the Ninja Roll, but it was heavily covered in sauce to the point that I couldn't really enjoy the flavors of the roll. In addition, my order did not include chopsticks, soy sauce, or wasabi. Overall, I spent more than $30 on a meal that I was unable to enjoy. Unfortunately, this first experience did not meet my expectations.

Aguachile

We ended up stumbling into this place as we were passing Casa Grande. I am so grateful that we gave this place a try. The server helped us choose some delicious rolls that were fantastic! I live in the valley. Iv tried various Mexican style sushi spots and none compare to this. I would literally drive from phoenix to eat here again. Highly recommend it. Our server was super nice and very helpful with recommendations. We ended up eating their house roll called Gon , tropical and their aguachille. Literally the best aguachille I've had in years!! Not a big fan of red meat in sushi but their Gon sushi was amazing. The tropical roll was fresh and unique. Highly recommend anyone passing through.

We got the taco combo plate and 3 single tacos. I chose the chicken, pork and steak and he got chicken, steak and birria ($1.25 extra). First off, these street tacos are packed with meat which was good to see. I love trying street tacos and I've tried many. For me, the flavor of the al pastor (pork) was the best of the meats. Second to that was the steak. The others didn't have a lot of noticeable flavor imo. I did slather each of them in the red and green salsas to add some moisture and added heat. As for the side of rice and beans, I liked the beans, they were cooked well and had good flavor. The rice we got was hard and seemed to have been in a warmer or something for too long since it was crispy and dry. This could have been a "one off" type situation. The interior dining area is small but that's to be expected for this type of taco shop. The staff there today seemed nice and genuinely care about their customers.

It was not super packed so I was able to walk up and quickly order a couple of tacos-an asado and carnitas. Unfortunately they were out of the el pastor, but that just gives me a reason to come back, right?!? And I do plan to come back as both of my tacos were stuffed with meat, cilantro, and onions. The tortillas were super soft and held mostly everything together, which I was not happy by the fact some of the ingredients may have been lost, just means I have to use a fork. The sauces that were included were full of flavor and added a great pop to the tacos. As long as I am out here I plan to return to Bebo's!!! A must! Gracia por todo!

I also ordered a Sonoran Dog which was wrapped with bacon and cooked well. I loved the bun that they use, it's not your typical hotdog bun and it wraps around the hot dog. The service was really friendly. What sets this spot apart was the salsas. Both the salsa roja and verde had more depth of flavor than most other spots I've been to. They should make chile rojo out of it.
