    General chicken (spicy)
    Katie T.

We tried CNS Café for the first time recently, and overall, it was a decent experience. The little restaurant is tucked away off Trekell and Kortsen -- small, quiet, and very clean. The owner is friendly and welcoming, which made for a pleasant visit. We ordered the Happy Family entrée, General Tso's chicken, fried rice, and chow mein. The food was reasonably priced (around forty dollars total), but the flavors could definitely use some improvement. The General Tso's chicken was overcooked and a bit tough, while the Happy Family dish lacked seasoning -- it had brown sauce but not much flavor or garlic. The fried rice seemed like plain rice with soy sauce and no vegetables, and the chow mein was a bit dry and could use more sauce to bring out the taste. Overall, CNS Café seems to use prepackaged meats and seafood, quickly stir-fried with veggies, rice, or noodles. It's a clean and friendly place with potential, but adding more seasoning, garlic, and vegetables could make a big difference in the quality and flavor of their dishes.

Food was okay, but way too expensive for the quality. Should have gone to Big Wa, won't make that mistake again.

It's a bit frustrating to see all the false advertisement of pricing and nothing being done about it The service was pretty decent for a carry out order, you have to walk to the back when you walk in which may be intimidating for some people. You are literally the center of attention when walking to the back. The shrimp fried rice is good, I asked for water chestnuts and I guess that upset the cook because that's ALL that was in there honestly. I don't care for the shrimp egg foo young here because it's on the OUTSIDE of the foo young patty instead of INSIDE. Decent parking but it is across the street from the park the homeless people hang out at so beware of that as well I ordered again through uber eats! As you can clearly see from the walk in , shrimp is 3.00, not sure how my price jumped so high. It's like they change the price whenever they want to. I may contact the attorney general tbh

The pricing was good and the portions were good sized. We had enough for take home. The iced tea was brewed perfectly (sometimes places overbrew & it comes out bitter). The waiter was nice and gave us a little time since it was our first time here and we were looking the menu over in detail. I drink a lot, so he kept on top of my (3) refills, too. The whole place was clean, including the restrooms (clean enough & stocked well). When we asked for the to-go containers, I was able to get my hands on a to-go cup as well for their yummy tea. All in all a great visit. I'm not sure how often I'll find myself in Casa Grande, but I will be back at this place if I do end up close again.

We weren't asked what spice level we want and luckily I thought of it in time because it would have been way too mild for us if I hadn't. It's a bit of a pet peeve for me to not be asked what spice level I want when there are spice levels available and for it to be assumed that I want my food mild. Once I asked, the spice levels were indicated as mild, medium, spicy, extra spicy and extra-extra spicy. We tried: -Thai Curry Vegetable with Eggplant, tofu, shiitake mushroom and potato. We asked for extra spicy which was not overly spicy but had good flavor. We got chilli crisp on the side which was actually on the spicy side here. Once I added a good amount of that I got some tears. The "Thai" curry reminded me more of a Japanese Curry and not what would hit the spot for me when I want Thai curry but it was enjoyable. I wished there was more of each element in it- More tofu, more potato etc. This dish is fully vegetarian and a good vegan option. - A sweet potato tempura sushi roll with eel sauce. - A cup of Tom Yum soup. We ordered it with fried tofu instead of the shrimp, extra spicy , and it was pretty good, especially with the chilly crisp. It does have some shrimp paste here in the broth so not vegetarian. No chicken broth or beef broth otherwise, just the shrimp paste. Service was pretty good. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite! -

The parking lot was very busy, that is always a good sign. There were lots of patrons, another good sign! We were immediately seated by the far wall, our server was Lizzy. She was very outgoing on cheery. Both of us ordered leomonade to drink, it came with free refills. My son ordered a plate of Chicken Wings to start and a burger with fries for his meal. I ordered a BLT with fries. I was very pleased becasue the wings were delicious, I don't typically enjoy wings, so that is really saying something! My BLT absolutely hit the spot, every bite was delicious. The bacon was nice and thick! My son really enjoyed his burger as well. After we were done eating we hung around for almost another hour, we had time to kill. We were never once rushed to leave, that is so nice! We were seated right under the thermostat, so I could see the temperature. I overheard another patron telling his family and another server that it was warm in there. It was 84 degrees. I agree, it was a tad bit warm in there. Other than that, our meal was fantastic and we both look forward to coming back again!

We came in for a late lunch and noticed updates to the menu. Our favorites are still there. This restaurant makes the best soups and desserts. Today I had the combo - a cup of tortilla soup and a small beet salad. Lots of chicken and veggies plus a great balsamic dressing. The Hubbs had his favorite clam chowder (only served on Mondays and Fridays) and a small gluten-free pizza. Very good. Note: Prime rib is offered only on Fridays starting at 4 - they often run out by 6! Service as always was delightful. Love this place.

There is a lot of outdoor seating with various table sizes and chair heights. As I walked inside I was greeted by the staff behind the counter and I asked if I seat myself. The young lady behind the counter explained that I order at the counter, the menus were stacked by the register, and then can choose my table. The young lady was so friendly with a smile that lights up the room. I ordered Eggs Benedict with a large orange juice, and was offered 3 meat choices, bacon, ham or sausage, or all three. I decided to live a little and chose all 3. I paid for my meal and she was absolutely clear that tipping is completely optional, I really appreciated that. So many places with far below par service have come to expect tips. I was given a table marker and sat myself at a small round table by the window. Within a minute or so, another young lady brought my orange juice in a disposable cup. A few minutes after that, my breakfast was brought to the table. The sausage, ham, and bacon were all on top of the English muffins with poached eggs on top of that. Hollandaise sauce was slathered across the entire plate, it was luxurious! There were not potatoes included, but that is fine, as with the three meats it was very satisfying. I judge breakfast spots on how well they make Eggs Benedict, as not every place does it well, L'grande knocked it out of the park! The eggs were perfectly poached, not too runny. Every bite of my breakfast was incredible!!! This hidden gem in Casa Grande knows what they are doing and I sincerely look forward to returning and trying other menu options.
