My first time to Maricopa and wanted to grab some quick lunch on the way home. Found this little gem. To be honest, I was very pleasantly surprised. The price was very good, and they give you a lot of food. With tax it was like $30 for 2 bento boxes. I could barely finish, and my friend had to take it home. Now, the most important part, the food. It actually tasted really good. I had Bento box C I think, with the beef. It was juicy and tender. The egg roll and gyoza were yummy as well. The sushi tasted fresh. I would definitely come back more if it wasn't like an hour from my house. If you are in the area next time, go try it. read more

Went in tonight for my daughter's 7th birthday. She wanted sushi and I'm so glad we gave this spot a shot rather than driving into town. We were sat immediately. The dishes took a while to get to us, but they were very busy as expected on a Friday night. The food was well worth the wait - absolutely delicious. The ambiance was nice, bustling chatty and very alive. The seating is close, we were basically elbow to elbow with the next table, but thankfully they were a nice group who didn't mind too. Pricing was really great, I was surprised to get the $20 bill. Before tax, my diamond roll was $11.95, her California roll was $4.95 and her capris sun was $1.50. The meal came with complimentary miso soup and fresh ginger & wasabi. Overall a great dinner. They offered my daughter a cute mochi birthday dessert dish with a candle to boot! Was very cute. Will definitely go again! read more

We've ordered from Say Sushi several times. For some reason, I was oblivious to the fact that they had fried rice, one of my favorite meals. I had it tonight and it was fantastic! The shrimp were large, fresh and deveined. I don't know what has happened, but the other two places in town where I was getting Fried Rice from either do not, or no longer devein their shrimp, which is gross.. I gave it a little shot of Mae Ploy, and it was amazing. read more

The sushi rolls were amazing!! Everything tastes really fresh here. Highly recommend. Service was friendly and quick. Even though Say Sushi looks like a hole in the wall from the outside, don't let that fool you- they serve high quality, delicious food. We will for sure be back to try more rolls! read more

Good food, easy to order from . Everyone is always nice . And it's a very clean place

Online ordering now available! Made it easier for our to-go order this time, but still was a little chaotic at pickup. Food stayed fresh & tempura items were still hot and crispy. Monkey balls are always a must. read more

The food is great! There is an another, newer sushi bar in town but Say Sushi is my go to. The lace needs a new updated look but the food is solid! read more

If I could rate this less than 1 star I would. Worst sushi I have ever had in all my 50 years of eating sushi. Owner is mean and unapologetic for the crap he serves. This should have been written 2 years ago but just came up in my feed as best sushi in Maricopa, it is not!! Do not waste your money or time. W&Z Fusion much better, or better yet head to Chandler for MIDO sushi, Best in the State!! read more

Another great visit to Say Sushi! This time we went around lunch and were able to get a table without any wait. The gentlemen working in the kitchen greeted us when we arrived and said goodbye when we left, and the music was great! Not so loud that we couldn't talk, and just loud enough to cover pleasant moments of silence. Sherlyn was our server and she was terrific! We ordered the orange chicken lunch special, the gyoza, and the chicken katsu and everything came out perfect! It tasted great and all the flavors worked well together. This may just be my favorite restaurant in the city of Maricopa, as a new person to the city! Thank you again for the excellent service, Sherlyn! read more

Say Sushi is the best! Love the Spicy Tuna and Spicy Salmon rolls! Crew is great, always ready to help!!

I love the food and have been going here a while. the last several times I have gone the service is a joke. This time beer is hot. I tell them thats it's warm and still made me pay for it. Had only one drink out of it. Canceled my whole order and won't be back. Very disappointing!! read more

Love this sushi spot! It's my go to whenever I get the craving! Super fast and friendly service. The sushi is always top tier, I've never had an order I didn't like. I usually take it to go, but I have eaten in the restaurant before and it was a pleasant experience. read more

Horrible I got the smallest pieces I've ever seen and for that price and taste I should of gotten the sushi from a department store. Go if you like to waste money and you weight 80lb and like to starve yourself but don't go if you actually want value for your money this place is a joke and I only went cause it was my kids birthday and I had to go the next day and get her sushi somewhere else. The to go box must of weighed less than an 1/8 of of an ounce don't ask me how I know but I know read more

The food is always excellent and the waitress was great! My biggest complaint is the place is so small... We were hoping they would expand when the soap shop went out of business... and they only had 1 waitress and one other helper but she spoke no English, and although she was so sweet and tried repeatedly, it was very awkward. This place is so good! read more

Been coming here with my husband since they opened in 2010. All Day Happy Hour on Tuesday and Thursday and great selection of sashimi, appetizers, ands rolls. Service is excellent; the staff is always friendly and efficient. It's a bit on the pricey side; I've never not spent over $80 here between me and hubs, but it's worth it every single time. And the bar is finally open again! Hooray! Seating is limited, and this place is busy every day of the week. Should you come during the dinner or lunch rushes, expect a wait and don't abuse the staff. Please note, this location is closed on Sundays and Mondays. The baked lobster roll is served on fire, and the miso soup never disappoints. My daughter comes for the Udon Soup and my husband and I share the Albacore Sashimi. This is a great place for family, though I don't recommend bringing picky eaters because you're going to get whatever is on the menu. Great place, would recommend a thousand times over. read more

Thank goodness Maricopa has a good sushi place! I moved here about a year ago, and sushi is one of my favorite foods. This place does a really good job with their food. Although they are always busy, the tuna sashimi satisfies my cravings! The take out wait time is always 45 mins, and they only take phone orders. I wish they had an online ordering system. Try not to come on a Saturday night... you'll be waiting for a table. They recently had a remodel; new tables, chairs, and wall art. It looks good! They definitely need to expand. Find a bigger space. I recommend the 911 roll! I recently tried their deluxe bento box! It was the best! Comes with so much food and only $17! read more

We travel down to this area from Seattle every October for my hubs soccer tournament. I am a big foodie and always disappointed by the lack of good restaurants in Maricopa. Say Sushi is the exception. This was our fourth time visiting this fine establishment. This place is five stars hands down! We know what good sushi tastes like and all of the rolls are fresh, good sized and a flavor explosion in your mouth! The servers are always friendly and attentive as well. Thank you Say Sushi for another phenomenal sushi experience! We will be back! read more

Came here when in the area for lunch. To be fair I was hesitant on finding a sushi place here in Maricopa but was surprised. I got lunch bento A which was so delicious a little bit of everything. Additionally I added their Boston roll and was a fan. Service was good waitress was kind and fast service. The area is small not many tables and I came perfect time only a few people but within twenty minutes it can be packed than get tables again. Only downside is no major big parties they would not have room, and when coming I bet dinner is the worst. Overall I had a good experience food service and ambiance was good and I will come back next time I'm in the area read more

Although this may be the only real sushi option in Maricopa, know that you' aren't settling here. I compare the quality of food here with my favorite spot in Chandler. It's nearly just as good for a a lot less. First things first, this place is obviously busy. Everyone complaining just doesn't understand that I think. It's a small restaurant, so that's a clear flaw with how busy the demand is. It's tough to get a table. On week nights, you can come around dinner time and it still miraculously only be a 10 minute wait normally. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. I've been 4-5 times since moving out here and the service has always been great. I haven't really had anything that I didn't like. It's been great. I've gotten Togo orders and my food has never been cold. It always taste hot and fresh no matter how I order. I do wish in the future that they buy a bigger place. They could swing it for sure. Ok so we tried this place out on our way to the casino. We did the Happy Hour Menu which is all day on Tuesday! The place is quite small so it fills up quickly, luckily we got a table without having to wait. Service was spotty at best but adequate. The food was ok, nothing to right home about, but it wasn't bad! Many of the items on the happy hour menu are deep fried, there's not much else really going on with that menu! Overall this wasn't a bad experience, but it wasn't a great one either. If you're in the area , it's worth a stop in! read more

Once upon a time, in a land far far away.... We learned to Say Sushi! Always a favorite restaurant with consistency, service and amazing value. An Oasis in the middle of the desert? This is no mirage! Its the real deal goodness of sushi all rolled up till you... Say Sushi! Having traveled and lived in Asia for 25+ years, including Japan, coming across a sushi place this gratifying is indeed splendid. The cornerstone of a good sushi restaurant is the vinegared rice. Its consistency and well balanced taste is crucial. Say Sushi manages to do this beautifully and noteworthy. After having been here many times, what is truly admirable is the consistency in quality, taste, presentation, and service. Located about 15 miles from I-10, it is a trek but is well worth the effort. Yes! They have Saké so Saké it to me! The photos all tell a better story so please feel free to indulge and drool. During these unusual Covid times, its great to know this restaurant goes to great lengths to protect its customers. They have selected and restricted number of seating availability. To-go orders are handled efficiently and with excellent care. All together a delicious tremendous place. The best recommendation I can give Say Sushi is that this restaurant can make it in Japan or anyplace sushi is a commitment. They are that marvelous. As always, thank you for reading! Wishing everyone be well and enjoying life without compromising safety. read more

Say sushi is best sushi in PHX period. Yes it's in Maricopa's but worth it. They people are great.

Best food for the best price in town. The bento box is my go too. Delicious food at a great price. Service is always top notch

Food is great! I am leaving 2 stars because of service. We were a party of 4. 3 of us ordered Shrimp Tempora. They came. We only received 2 shrimp tempora rolls. When it was time to go we notified the waitress that we only received 2 of the rolls and she could just take the 3rd off. She said that 2 rolls were on one plate. There was only one end piece on the plate. We only received 2 however we had to pay for 3. read more

Say Sushi 21101 N John Wayne Pkwy Ste E103, Maricopa AZ 85138 June 3, 2021 Friday - 5:15 PM arrived, sat at 5:45 PM for dinner 4 Adults Atmosphere - 4 stars Food - 5 stars Service - 4 stars Background - Our kids wanted to treat us to dinner for arriving in Maricopa and to celebrate our new house. Atmosphere - I tiny place in a small section of a strip mall.  Place probably has 10 tables, a mix of 2 and 4 person.  You can see the COVID concerns are ending as the sign on the door states 50% occupancy while they used every table tonight.  The bar at the sushi counter was closed, looks like maybe 6 people can sit there.  Hard to tell as there were only two chairs at the bar. Food Drink - I had an Asahi, large bottle of beer.  They did not have it a standard bottle format.  I do not know if this is normal or just out it. Sushi - We ordered six sushi rolls for the table.  Our son went with Udon noodles, and a veggie roll for his dinner.  I like trying unusual rolls, the Crispy Spicy Tuna and the Baked Lobster rolls fell into this category.  The Crispy Spicy Tuna is made with puffed rice, what a unique texture.  The tuna was finely chopped to top the rolled with a sliver of jalapeno to top it off.  I found the pieces to be a little too large.  We decided on Baked Lobster we spotted it being delivered to another table and we had to order it.  The roll sits in a boat of tin foil placed on top of a fajita plate.  Flames were burning from the fajita plate when it was delivered, dinner and a show. Service - I would say it is okay.  If you are a regular you probably do not need a menu.  They only provided one for the four us with a slip of paper to check off what we wanted to order.  We had to ask for an additional menu.  Maybe it is labor intensive to hand them out as I watched a hostess wiping down every page to put back into circulation.  You do need to ask for wasabi and ginger if you want those items with your sushi. Future - Yes, as there not many sushi choices in the area.  I enjoyed the rolls I had.  I did not see the special rolls by the hostess station until we finished with dinner. read more
