Big restaurant. We had a party of ten at 7:45pm on a Friday. The server dropped water pitchers to the table. We had a really rocky table that we had to fix by putting something underneath it. The menu was ginormous. Sadly they were out of a few things we tried to order including the pork skewers, Vietnamese pork chops, and the hot and sour soup. I got a Vietnamese iced coffee, it was good. And the won ton soup was so good too. Very hot. The fried dumplings and the steamed dumplings were delicious. The steamed dumplings were a little in the colder side but the fried dumplings were a perfect temperature. For an entree I got beef pho and also mixed vegetables with garlic. The pho portion was HUGE, omg if you order it you really don't need any other food or should definitely share it. They gave us plastic soup spoons for the hot soup, so I used my metal spoon instead. The mint leaves were kind of old but the bean sprouts, jalapeño peppers and limes were fresh. The noodles were all clumped together. But overall the soup was good. The mixed veggies were good, it had carrots, broccoli, onions, tofu, mushroom, snap peas, everything tasted really good, except the cabbage in it. Overall, good experience. read more

The Pho Ga chicken was hot and full of flavor, but still light and exactly what we wanted on a chilly day without feeling weighed down after the gym The chicken was tender, the broth was on point, and everything felt fresh. Loved all the sides to add yourself (cilantro, bean sprouts, lemon, and jalapenos) plus had friendly, fast service too We'll definitely be back especially given the very affordable prices. What a nice little spot. It's located across airway from the museum in the United States Air Force, so in my opinion it's got a great location. It's just in a little strip mall, it's not too ostentatious. Pretty roomy on the inside. They have some nice soft jazz going on in the background. I was just needing a snack so I popped in and asked him about those spring rolls. The lady put up with my redneck request and double check that she had the right one. This is the best restaurant in the area. I absolutely love eating here and taking people from out of town. It is affordable for what you get! Always ask for the Hot Tea! My go to is the Lemongrass Pork Vermicelli! It is flavorful, light and refreshing. Also our 6 and 2 year old love to eat it as well, so that's a plus! My husband always gets Pho! Our kids also enjoy the crab Rangoons. The sweet and sour sauce they have has a hint of orange, so it's delicious. Linh's will always be my #1 favorite Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant in the Dayton area. I travel to Dayton for work once a month and I always have to stop by or place a to-go order. Their food and portion sizes are phenomenal. Their pho and rice dishes are authentic and perfectly cooked/seasoned. Their Chinese dishes are delicious, and I can appreciate their menu having multiple languages so everyone can understand what they have to offer. I like how they always have free hot tea and the service is great. They truly treat you like family. I highly recommend the salted spicy squid- it's deep fried calamari with a little bit of spice. After recently traveling to Vietnam, I was excited to try the bún thịt lụi at Linh's Bistro. Bún thịt lụi is a Vietnamese dish that combines soft, bouncy rice vermicelli noodles (bún) with smoky, tender, grilled marinated pork skewers (thịt lụi) and an array of fresh herbs, and crunchy vegetables, perfectly complemented by tangy-sweet fish-sauce based nước chấm dipping sauce. This dish is very similar to the bún chả that Anthony Bourdain and President Barack Obama enjoyed together in Hanoi, Vietnam. A surprise hit was the strangely addicting salted tofu--so good I need to learn how to make it! (caution: very salty). To all...beware! We ordered Empress Chicken and they charged us $2.00 to put vegetables in it. They put chicken in a bowl resulting in a very mushy/soupy mess. Again, a very soggy mess. Took the first bite and was disgusted with some kind of fishy taste. Took a couple more small bites to make sure and verified how bad it tasted. My wife ordered Pho and she said it was very watery instead of a broth-like consistency as Pho is supposed to be. Ordered fried rice and got white rice. I threw 95% of the Empress Chicken in the garbage disposal although it was more suited for the toilet. I called Linh's and was told the manager was not in and there was NOTHING she could do about it. Had a quick bite after visiting US Air Force around 5 pm. The place was quite packed, and there were only 2 waitstaffs. They got some Chinese dishes as well. I've gotten two things here, the Pho and the salted stir fry pork. The Pho was OK. Everything about it was typical and expected but the one thing that fell short was the beef slices. I think the slices were somewhat overcooked and the slices were too thick or something. The flavor ended up being slightly too bland and also too chewy. The rest of this pho was not too memorable. Service was very slow, as is typical for restaurants these days. Pho District is slightly better, and What the Pho is the best in terms of Pho rankings. The salted fried pork had a good flavor, but was extremely overseasoned with salt. It was so salty even with some rice on the side. I had to "fix" this by bringing it home and stir frying it among other vegetables to try to cut the salt down. read more

Came here for lunch with a group of 5 around 1pm on a Wednesday. We were able to get seated right away but it was pretty busy in there. Lots of nice free parking in front of the building. Enjoyed my experience here! The menu is very large with many options to choose from. I would have liked more pictures and descriptions on the menu to help me decide. But was very happy with what I ordered and would love to come back and try something else. I got the chicken with noodles and really liked it. The portions were a very good size for the price of ~$10. My meal also came with a rangoon and a soup side! A nice surprise. Loved the flavors and taste of everything! Waitress was kind and helpful. Ordered some takeout and I absolutely would again. I love pho and their beef pho was tasty and heavy on the noodles which I appreciated. I do wish they had more hoisin sauce in their takeout but I survived. Next time I will make sure and ask for extra. The crab rangoons were good, nothing super exciting but still tasty. Lihn's was our go to place for many years starting at the old location up the hill. Once the moved to the present location the food stayed the same but the service became so unbelievably bad and rude that we stopped going. When we ran into one of the rude waitresses at another restaurant, we tried Lihn's again and it was still bad. Recently, about two years since our last visit, we gave it another go and we're happy we did. Even thought it was within an hour of closing, we were greeted, seated and eating in less than 5 minutes. The food was as good as before. This weekend we went again but earlier in the evening. They had signs saying they were short staffed and asking visitors to to be patient. While the service was good the food was fair at best. The portion was skimpy and contained more onions and scallions than anything else, cheap filler in my opinion. We ordered for pickup through DoorDash. We usually order from another local place but wanted to try something new. All of the food was tasty, even if some was not quite as good as other places we've tried. We ordered pho, bun bo hue, chicken and garlic, goi cuon, ga toi, and pork and shrimp stir fried rice noodles. The pho was decent, plenty of add-ins with a generous about of broth. The flavor was a little underwhelming, but it still hit the spot. The chicken and garlic was tasty, as was the stir fried noodle dish. The best part of the meal was the Bun Bo Hue, I was pleasantly surprised that it was actually somewhat spicy even though they didn't request a spice preferred. Each time I came home to visit family, this was always my first stop as long as it wasn't a Monday LOL. Mondays seem to be the only day in which I go "I have to have linh's today". It's been a while since I've been to this restaurant as I've moved away. As I've always loved this place, I obviously had to visit again. When I entered, I notice that there are many new faces. Turns out they're under new ownership. First off, these are some of the rudest servers I've ever seen. Seems like none of the servers wanted to be there. Not a single "hello". We were taken to our table where the guy drops off the menu and leaves without saying a word. This guy seemed like he was more preoccupied flirting with the waitstaff rather than working with the customers. Clearly everyone had a dish in front of them except 1 person and the server has the audacity to ask if all our orders have come out (they forgot). He never asked if we needed a refill until after the bill came. Food wise, the pho broth was mediocre at best. This is strange as it looks like the restaurant still has the same kitchen staff. The flavor and quality was much better in the past (probably new owners cutting costs). My family had the beef broth and the beef was sliced thick and had the texture of imitation beef. The amount of noodles in the pho has been lessened as well. I'm a 140lb guy and if this bowl doesn't fill me up, I doubt it'll be enough to be fulfilling to most. The only saving grace for this "new" restaurant is that they kept the same sauce for their spring rolls. 2/5 stars. I would not recommend. read more

As a Vietnamese person, I really miss my mom's home cooking. I've tried a hand full of Vietnamese restaurants and dishes around Dayton and I have to say that Linh's bistro has the best Bun Bo Hue (I ask for it extra extra spicy)!!! Their consistency on how great the Bun Bo Hue is isn't that consistent (judging off the few times I have ordered), but I would still definitely recommend eating here.
