It's been a while since I've been to this restaurant as I've moved away. As I've always loved this place, I obviously had to visit again. When I entered, I notice that there are many new faces. Turns out they're under new ownership. First off, these are some of the rudest servers I've ever seen. Seems like none of the servers wanted to be there. Not a single "hello". We were taken to our table where the guy drops off the menu and leaves without saying a word. This guy seemed like he was more preoccupied flirting with the waitstaff rather than working with the customers. Clearly everyone had a dish in front of them except 1 person and the server has the audacity to ask if all our orders have come out (they forgot). He never asked if we needed a refill until after the bill came. Food wise, the pho broth was mediocre at best. This is strange as it looks like the restaurant still has the same kitchen staff. The flavor and quality was much better in the past (probably new owners cutting costs). My family had the beef broth and the beef was sliced thick and had the texture of imitation beef. The amount of noodles in the pho has been lessened as well. I'm a 140lb guy and if this bowl doesn't fill me up, I doubt it'll be enough to be fulfilling to most. The only saving grace for this "new" restaurant is that they kept the same sauce for their spring rolls. 2/5 stars. I would not recommend. read more

As a Vietnamese person, I really miss my mom's home cooking. I've tried a hand full of Vietnamese restaurants and dishes around Dayton and I have to say that Linh's bistro has the best Bun Bo Hue (I ask for it extra extra spicy)!!! Their consistency on how great the Bun Bo Hue is isn't that consistent (judging off the few times I have ordered), but I would still definitely recommend eating here. Stopped by on a cold day for something to warm us up. They first brought us some warm tea which I enjoyed, almost drank the whole pot. I ordered two lemongrass pork skewers which where good. The Mrs enjoyed them also. We also ordered a cup of egg drop soup and crab rangoon. I thought all of it was good. The skewers could have had a little bit more lemongrass flavor BUT I like REALLY bold flavors. I ordered Pho as my main dish and took half of it home. It was spicy and had typical Pho flavors. I thought it was lacking in beef, could have used some more but other than that it was really good. I would, without a doubt, come back to Linh's Bistro. read more

9 of us from work had lunch together today at Linh's. They brought out tea immediately which was nice. The place was busy and in looking around the restaurant the soup bowls were huge! I had shrimp with lobster sauce, fried rice and wonton soup. The soup came first and it was very good. The shrimp was very good and the sauce was delish. Service was a bit slow to take our order but otherwise fast. Given that, the food came out when it was ready, one plate at a time so some were eating while others were waiting. With the bill came a single fortune cookie. The consensus of the group was 4 out of 5. Note: they don't take American Express. Other plastic is ok. read more

Loved the pho! always consistently good flavor and service is fast and friendly. I always stop by when I'm in Dayton.

I was a little wary of the shopping center, but I found this restaurant to be bright and clean and the crowd very pleasant. I read reviews about poor service and thought they were way off base. Our server was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my meal, but we noticed that the food in Ohio is a little sweet. Hot and sour soup and Pho, a little on the sweet side. Maybe it is catering to a midwestern palate, it wasn't just this place. All in all, this is a good place to eat if you are in the area. read more

Is it expensive yes but it's got a variety and seems like healthy dishes. If you know Asian food and Korean it's great but I wanted to really try some food like some spicy fiery ramen with them little things with them little pink erasers in them ya know. I think I ordered a Japanese beer but when food is expensive I'm gonna order beer too cause Im not gonna eat costly food with no Beer. I like Sapporo but I can't remember if I had that or maybe similar. Not the best looking food. And no pink erasers and very basic wit noodles brown sauce and kinda yellowish egg. Beef was skimpy portion. As I write it I take off from 3 to 2 stars remember the egg and unappetizing presentation... again I wanna eat those things that look like pink erasers I'm curious and still wanna know what they taste like. The food was excellent-- fresh ingredients, full of flavor, and large portions. I had the Basil Beef, and I highly recommend it.

What isn't great about Linh's? I can't think of anything. Of course dishes like pho are in high demand. I'm partial to the vermicelli noodle salad-- loaded with crisp, cool veggies, warm noodles, and topped with deep fried spring rolls. The combo of cool, warm, salty, and hints of sweetness has long been a favorite of mine in Vietnamese cuisine. Carrot slivers, cilantro, and cucumbers are a few of the items that appear in the salad. Add Siracha for an extra kick. Sip on complimentary hot tea as well. Love, love, love Linh's. They do a robust lunch time business from WPAFB close by with excellent service. Enjoy! read more

My husband and I have gone to lunch here several times and I love the variety of options they have on their menu but maybe too many options means less quality? My husband's spicy dish came out without spice, and the waitress offered to redo it, which was nice but we didn't have a lot of time. At the end of our meal we got our fortune cookies, always something to look forward to, and they were stale! An unfortunate ending to our otherwise pretty tasty meal! read more

Ehhhh. It is large restaurant with plenty of seating and TVs to watch a game. The service is efficient, but the qualify of food is subpar at best. The chicken pho was average- nothing special, but def. comforting. The summer rolls were good, but I prefer a peanut sauce instead of their tamarind sauce. But the chicken bun (which is light a Vietnamese noodle salad) was soooo sad. The chicken was flavorless. I guess I was expecting grilled chicken or at least pan seared with some color. It looked like it was just boiled and tossed in over cooked onions. All and all- the overall flavors were not there. read more

I like going to Linh's when I'm craving some of their #40 Pork Bun. It's usually all I ever get here. I've seen some Yelpers mention that service here is pretty bad, but when I dined in, the service was great. It could depend on who you get, but I had a guy as my server. We don't get here enough. Our favorite Mexican place is next door so usually when we come here is a Sunday when they are closed so we don't feel guilty. They have a wide menu of Vietimese and Chinese fare, and everything has been great. The waiter has been very helpful when we haven't been familiar with dishes to help us decide. I almost always get a pho or a noodle bowl. No complaints about the food, is all been simply fantastic. Beyond generous on the portions of cilantro and beansprouts for your pho. Seriously generous. Everything we have ever ordered has been beyond good. I wish the menu was a bit more descriptive at points and maybe more pictures. I always see people with a stainless cooking pot on a table, but I never can figure out what it is to order it. I only remove a star because of the enviornment. It has high exposed cielings and gets very noisy fast. Hot days it's a little steamy inside, but that might be from as the soup. But on the coldest of winter days you'll still be wearing your coat to huddle up around that big bowl of pho. We were there on a 10 degree day and holy momma it was nippy and everyone there was. This was our first visit to Linh's and it definitely won't be our last. The Pho was over the top when it came to the flavor. It's such a simple looking soup but one taste and you quickly realize you can't call it simple. The spring rolls were delicious as well. The fried ones were so nice and crisp while the soft ones were a great contrast. Both were very flavorful and great with the dipping sauces. Maybe, I've lost my taste for VietNamese food. Even though this place has many positive reviews, I wasn't thrilled, so maybe, it's just me. I ordered Pho Bo Vien and iced coffee but they didn't have the iced coffee. I was surprised by the volume of food. The bowl is what a certain LA/OC area Pho place calls "Super". It was huge but the flavour didn't overwhelm me with goodness, so maybe I've just been away from VietNamese food too long. The staff were pleasant, even though I arrived when they were sitting down to eat their food from KFC. I even had a long conversation with one comparing different Asian food and groceries in the area. I feel bad that I can't say anything better. I should try it again but I think I'll try something in LA/OC again to see if I've just lost my taste for VietNamese food, in general. read more

Went to Lihn's with some friends. Ordered the same dish I've been ordering for the past 2 years. My friends received their meals. I waited, asked about my order no response. Never received my food, no apologies or effort to make it up. Told them I was putting up a review of my experience. A few days later,called in a carryout order and they notified me that I was banned based on me posting a 1 star review. Really bad management, extremely poor service. Pursuing lawsuit based on descrimination, no others banned for 1 star review. I've always been a good, polite customer. The new management is really terrible. read more

Excuse the filthy bathrooms and dining room because the food is on point. This little gem would be 5 stars everyday if they would just CLEAN. The Pho is second to none and the spring rolls are consistently fresh and full of flavor. We always leave full given the enormous servings and the prices are more than fair. Truly wish they would just take the same care for the appearance of their interior cleanliness as they do with their food selection. I decided to get carryout the other afternoon/evening... Pho was calling my name. Yum! It was after 4pm and they had a handful of customers in the restaurant. It looks the same as always. One of the girls helped me pretty quick, I ordered Pho, dumplings, lemongrass pork and spring rolls(appitizer combo). It probably took 10 to 15 minutes? Not bad. I couldn't wait to get home. We were new to Dayton in 2021 but heard of Linh's from our son in law who used to frequent the place. We've since eaten there 4 times in the past 6 months and every meal has been delicious. The menu is so large that we always order something new and haven't been disappointed. My favorite might be the Amazing Chicken but the other spicy dishes are nearly as good. The service has always been friendly but not intrusive. We were once offered additional rice when the server noticed how quickly mine had been eaten. I went there for lunch on a Saturday with three friends. They ordered hot meals and I ordered a salad. My salad did not come. I asked the cashier, as no server ever came back to our table. "They are working on it." My friends had finished their meals and we were ready to leave. Still, I had no salad. The cashier just told me they were working on it -- no apology, no offer of an alternative. I was expected to keep my friends waiting after they had paid until my salad finally arrived in a take-out carton. PHO REVIEW Spring Rolls were good but the Pho was lacking in so many ways. They don't offer a combination pho like most places. And they don't even have Trip, Soft Tendon, Fatty Brisket, etc.. all the mystery meats that make Pho taste so good. Noodles were bland and pho tasted a bit like frozen food. Everytime I go to ohio, I always make a stop to linh's bistro. LOVE LOVE LOVE their CLAYPOT RICE (Rice,chinese sausage,beef,chicken,shrimp, vegetables.) Excellent food. The sate beef pho is the best you will find in town or in any town. It gets busy on weekdays for lunch. Get there before Noon or be prepared to wait in line. They seem to usually staff lightly and as a result the service can be slow or non existent aside from ordering and receiving your food. I have often never received refills or been checked on in between ordering and receiving food. Basic ambiance; it's in the middle of a shopping center. None of the negatives are true negatives so long as you are aware of them going in - the food is worth it and the fad pho restaurants in the area with their fad names are just that. I was not prepared for the line out the door on a Tuesday at 11:45 AM. Initially I thought it was a good sign that this place was so popular. And maybe that's what set my expectations too high since we didn't get a table until 12:15. The interior was nice and clean. One big open dining room with a line looping around the restaurant waiting for a table to be free and another seemingly endless line waiting to pay. Service = absolutely terrible. From our initial contact with the person who grabbed two menus then rolled her eyes when I corrected her to say there were three in our group, then led us to a table in the corner without ever bringing that third menu. I really think at that point we were just forgotten about and our order was not taken for at least another 15 minutes when the table next to us was seated and the server at that point took orders from both of our tables at the same time. And of course, brought their food out before ours. Eye roll. Upon the suggestion of my lunch companions who had been here before, I got the beef Pho. An extremely generous portion that I couldn't even make a dent it. It was good, nothing amazing, but satisfying on a cold day. If I do come back here it will have to be a day when I have unlimited time for lunch, along with lower expectations for service. read more

I've been waiting to try this place for a while and finally had a chance to today. Really glad I tried this place out. I've been blah since moving here bc Dayton isn't an extremely diverse place in a lot of ways (compared to DC) but especially in the food options. I'll say happily Linh's Bistro will get added to the food rotation for me. I've had pho all over. There's a huge Vietnamese community back home and I've had some awesome pho in my time. The broth here is as good as I've ever had. The menu was missing a few options but my meatball and beef really hit the spot. The cilantro and sprouts were really fresh as well. I also liked that they give you hot tea as soon as you sit down. A nice touch that I've never had at a pho spot before. Oh and the summer rolls were delicious Service pretty spot on too.
