We have had Longo for several years and service had been adequate- we use it for streaming TV service. Lately, our service has been subpar. Very subpar. I submitted a claim for no service and was told they could see service had been performing in adequately for awhile and we could get a bill adjustment when issue was resolved; however, they could not give any timeframe when the issue was going to be repaired. Received word today that issue was resolved but would only be given credit from when time i submitted a work ticket and not from the time they were able to track that we had been receiving less than optimal service. Will be concealing service as soon as possible. I was told when I signed up for service that I was not under a contract. Funny, now that I want to cancel, I'm under contract! read more

Our family has been incredibly satisfied with our Lingo Internet service. We live in a rural setting where Internet is not expansive so my expectations were pretty low when Lingo came to the neighborhood but they have far exceeded our expectations. Would never recommend this company. Very poor connection. When you try to disconnect service they make you jump through hoops and then bill you (even after you tell them to disconnect). You call to disconnect and remove automatic billing. You are then told you have to call the last day of the month to verify cancelling. Seriously, I told you I wanted to disconnect and to stop automatic billing. That should have been enough. Then, if you cannot return the router immediately, you are billed for service until equipment is returned. We stopped using this service months prior to cancelling but couldn't cancel due to early termination fees. Paid for it for several months for nothing and then had to go through an act of congress to cancel. Manager has no customer service skills. The ONLY positive which is the 1 star is the techs. They are very helpful and nice. Very unhappy customer. If you can get service from someone else, do it! Do NOT use MGW. read more

Since closing my account with Lingo, I went with another company in the area and I have had zero troubles with them, no slow internet, no up and down service and no non existing speed. This proves that there was nothing wrong with my devices and router. Lingo also wanted me to rent my router from them at an extra cost of $120 per year, and I refused to pay extra money, just so they can figure out what is wrong with their service. Is their problem, why should I pay for it? To make their job easier? Yeah, that will be the day... read more

Update: Lingo / MGW have upgraded their fixed wireless residential internet ! Service has basically been flawless. Had a small issue and Tech Support called me back (yeah, you read that right....tech support called ME). Speeds are solid, as advertised, but willing to pay for another speed level if they create a new level above. Agree with other post -- friendly and helpful people in tech support. read more

I needed my computer for work, and lingo had a new one ordered for me that arrived on Wednesday!! They transferred everything and had it all ready before I left for a business trip, all in 2 days. My 88 year old mother had installed computer service with phone service to her home in Staunton Virginia last year. Recently she had trouble with her phone and the service was out/not working. I, her daughter contacted MGW with this problem and spoke to Don who gave me further instruction, then to Teresa who was in touch with the technical side of the operation. This began at 12:30pm with her phone being out of service since the night before. At 3:21 that afternoon it was determined that the problem was within their system not my mothers phone. A "ticket" was then made up for the following morning to repair, I explained to Teresa that my mother was 88, had a stroke history and being without a phone was not acceptable and was told "tomorrow am". Upon returning to my mothers house at 4:00pm Lingo network arrived, two technical people to fix her phone line. Josh and John could not have been more courteous or professional replacing the modem for a new one and rebooting her service all with in half an hour. Thank you MGW for taking care of your customers, you all went out of your way. Kudos to Don, Teresa, Josh and John,well done! read more

I have never seen an ISP with customer service skills. Lingo Networks is in another category altogether. Not only are they great compared to other ISPs, they're off the charts in general. I have spent the past 5 years trying to find a suitable solution for internet at my home. I wish I had found Lingo sooner. Internet speed is awfully slow sometimes. I never get the speed that I pay for and I have contacted Lingo over 2 dozen times in the past year and they always blame my computer, my router, my smart phone, etc. read more

Switched to Lingo to get internet to my rental house and then share the signal with my house since I didn't have line of sight to Peak's Knob. Cost me $400 up front in equipment but thought it would a economical in the long run since Verizon kept jacking up my DSL cost. I was paying for the 6 meg package but rarely could get 2 meg. I made numerous calls and a service guy came back 1 time. They finally told me that was the best they could do. I lived with it but my speed only got worse over time. Recently I was getting 250K or less and my wife would put the laptops away and use our phones on the internet because pages would not load. Forget trying to watch a video or stream Netflix. Finally I had enough and switched to Comcast and now have consistent 125 meg speeds. Called Lingo to cancel my service and they want to bill me for the rest of my contract even though they couldn't provide the service level I was paying for. Be aware they have an issue with overloaded bandwidth in the Dublin area and do not seem to be working to correct it. I have heard of others in the Dublin area with the same issue. Cost me a bundle and don't want others to get stuck. read more
