The short - Great personal service and very affordable. The Long - I'm always cautious when getting my computer fixed. TNC has really earned my loyalty and repeat business now. I visited once about a year ago to get my screen on my laptop replaced and refreshingly had options presented to me. Because it was an older laptop I took the more affordable option and it is still working great!! The second time I went in with a much more difficult request and I was so impressed by the time Christian took to really explain all the details to me. I like to understand the situation and then decide what option works best and TNC allowed me to do that. If you want a trustworthy and affordable place to get your computer repaired go to Top Notch Computers!!! read more

I don't know what I would do without Top Notch Computers period. They just did a fantastic job on my home desktop computer, updating it to Windows 11. Wow, amazing , innovative, kind , highly efficient and best of all , reasonably priced. If you go anywhere else you are doing yourself a disservice. Top Notch Computers is the best and don't forget it---I highly recommend them for anything after all they gave me a Happy Thanksgiving 2025. read more

I was never able to connect with a live person to discuss my need, so your service was non-existent and I will have to go elsewhere.

These guys are amazing. They go beyond what you've asked and review everything else. I would never go anywhere else. Try them, you won't be disappointed! read more

Phenomenal customer service, pricing, and loyalty. Nothing negative to say about Top Notch! I will forever use them for my computer and technology services! read more

Simply the best place for all computers or networking needs! Will be coming back if the need arises.

I was referred to this place by a friend and thought it would be better than going somewhere that I didn't have someone to refer me to, so I tried them. The owner, Christian, is very professional and personable. He gave me several options when I brought in my old laptop to have it fixed and I ended up selling it to him for more than I thought I might get by selling it online. I opted to put the credit toward a newer laptop that he had. They started transferring over all of my data from my old laptop. It was so easy. Due to my schedule, I wasn't able to make it back to pick up my new laptop before they closed, but Tori, Christian's tech, offered to meet me on her way out of town so I didn't have to come back the next day. I was floored by the customer service. Then I found out that the owner drives other customers' computers to their homes himself. Is this normal? I have emailed this company again with computer questions and they've been great about getting back to me quickly. It's hard to find people who know what they're doing and don't charge you an arm and a leg. These guys really are Top Notch. :) read more

Just had my first experience with Top Notch Computers and I am pleased to say that they did a great job. I left my Acer laptop with them because the screen stopped working. They diagnosed the problem and installed a new screen. Unfortunately my hard drive also had issues and it required them to do some additional work. They fixed it up migrated my data and gave me my old hard drive as well. AND THEY DIDN'T CHARGE ME EXTRA! All I can say is that these guys seemed very honest and concerned about fixing my computer the right way even though I was not happy to leave it an additional day. The only reason its not 5 stars is that it took an extra day to get it fixed. Thanks and I highly recommend these guys. read more

Be aware! Anticipated quick repair of printer not printing. First tech left and printer did not work. Later fixed by a manager in 10 min. Received exorbitant bill after being assured that only one visit would be billed. I called office and was told that the bill amount was for the time and travel ( to and fro) was what the bill stated. Travel time was stated at 18-20 minutes x2. Travel time is billed at their per hour charge. NOT RECOMMENDED. read more

Thank you for helping me feel SAFE and SOUND because of your work on my computer!!! You guys are a DELIGHT to work with, to say nothing of how competent you are! So nice to work with LOCALS!!! read more

Staffs are professional and friendly. My MacBook Pro's mother board had died, not only did they fix it in a timely fashion, they did it for much less of what Apple Store would have charged. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

I don't normally trust repair folks, but immediately I changed my mind with these guys. Christian called me personally to talk about my computer and options. The work I've had done was amazing and I've been so happy. Keep doing what you do folks! Talking to us 'non computer' people and not making us feel silly is awesome! read more

Christian and his team are absolutely fantastic! To say the least, I am not tech savvy and so I cannot say how much I appreciate his honesty and fairness! He could easily pull the wool over my eyes, by fix my computer, and stick me with a huge bill- but he didn't! He was clear in describing the issue, and dumbed it down so I could understand. I won't take my computer anywhere else again! read more

When my computer died I panicked because I thought for sure I would be paying an arm and a leg to repair it. Based on the yelp reviews I decided to try this place out, and I am so glad I did. The people here are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They were up front about their prices and what they were going to have to do with my computer. When I got the quote on the final price I was shocked at how low the cost was, and there were no surprises or hidden costs. Not only did this company restore all the data back to my computer that I thought was gone, but they did it for a fraction of the price other companies charged. I would highly recommend this place to anyone having computer problems. It is by far the best computer repair experience I have had. read more

We have been using top notch for both of our businesses since 2005. They can handle almost anything a small business needs, including wiring for a new location, public and private networks and computer updates and repairs. Very fast response times all the technicians are very personable and quite skilled read more

I had a great expectation on TNC when I first went there to drop my LapTop. All the excitement to receive a good service collapsed the same minute I stepped into their office the day I went to pick up my laptop. The monitor external shell (black in color) was covered of 3 very long scratches. The most scary thing is that nobody noticed and nobody was able to give a real explanation except of an excuse. I can accept this from a machine shop not from a computer repair office. It is not even worthed to mention the second disappointment I had at the same time. To cut a long story short I left with a huge bill and a scratched computer. I hope I will never have to go there again. NOT RECOMMENDED read more

Best IT assistance!! I work remotely for a massive (read: bureaucratic) organization, and without Top Notch I'd lose countless hours trying to get IT issues solved. Whether it's setting up a new computer, solving for an issue with updates, or just helping me with all of the little things I don't understand about how my PC functions, Top Notch is outstanding. They also provide remote service sessions and will come to your home to set up equipment like printers, etc. Top Notch is an absolute professional life saver. Also delightful people. Highly recommend!! read more

I cannot speak highly enough of Top Notch Computers, Christian and his support staff. Not only are their services the best but they make a learning experience out of something that usually is such a drag! Christian personally sat with me, explained my options, problems and brought me to the most affordable solution! My computers ( PLURAL!!!) are all working perfectly!! We own macs and PCs - he is a wizard. I cannot tell you how great Top Notch is! I will Never use another company, in Charlottesville or beyond! Keep it local and keep it incredible! read more

Reliable, knowledgeable, helpful, prompt, great pricing. Can't get better than that. After moving from Silicon Valley to Charlottesville, getting help with a computer was extremely difficult. Very glad to have found them. read more

Can't say enough good things. I'm 75 years old and a bit stubborn about learning new things. Often I am frustrated with technology. I use Christian for everything remotely technical that I can't do myself. He works at my pace, letting me be as involved or not involved as I want through the course of our projects. Bought a new laptop from them too and am very satisfied. Always great prices and quick, friendly service. read more

Top Notch is really top notch! I recently had a significant amount of liquid accidentally spilled onto my brand new macbook which damaged several components and automatically disqualified it to be fixed under Apple Care. After getting an estimate from Apple, that was almost as much as buying a new computer, I decided to give TNC a chance and I'm so glad that I did! They were extremely helpful and were even able to fix my laptop at a very reasonable price. They also helped me with other general maintenance and set up an external hard drive for me. I can't give them enough praise for being so responsive and helpful in a time that I was in an utter panic about my laptop! read more

The team at Top Notch is great! They exceeded every expectation. I had a MBP with a fried keyboard (spilled liquid on it), just the day before I was scheduled to be in Charlottesville, VA for a week. I looked these guys up, read the reviews here and stopped by Monday. Thoroughly knowledgeable, they believed they'd be able to repair before I had to leave. In the process, they found a couple of additional parts were needed; contacted me to let me know and then took the time to do the work correctly. Because they weren't able to meet the promised date, they shipped it to my house at their own cost!! I could not be more delighted!! These guys are as good as it gets - professional, honest, and knowledgeable. I strongly recommend them - wish more businesses operated like this crew! Thanks!! read more

No stars wasn't an option. These people are horrible. We took in our lap top they told us they would call in three days with an estimate. Never heard from them. My husband had to walk into their store just to talk to them. They told my husband they were going to put a new hard drive in our laptop and it was would the exact same hard drive as what they were taking out and quoted us a price for that. When my husband when to pick it up he found out on the form they had put something completely different in, which they did without calling us to confirm what we would want to do. He took it in stride and went home to check their work. When we checked the hard drive number on the computer we found out it was not the same as what was on the recite. It was actually a lesser quality then what we were quoted on the recite. These people lied to us 3 times and offered in now way to make up for it. From now on we will steer clear of these people. Dishonesty in my book is not ok, Especially when we end up paying for something we aren't getting. read more
