Fantastic Service and Repair, GREAT Prices I recently had my iPad repaired here because of a recommendation from a friend. I cannot begin to recommend this place enough. The cost for the repair was just over $100 and if you check in to this location using Yelp, you get five dollars off. The screen and everything else looks sublime and works perfectly. The service member at the desk was kind, patient, and professional. When I or someone I know needs something repaired, we will be turning to Mr Fix. read more

Mr Fix Cell Phone & Computer Repair - Mobile Phone Repair Near Me - Charlottesville, Virginia

They have fixed every phone and other electronic device I have brought in. Pricing is fair and they are honest upfront about if repairs are worth it or not even if it means less business. One time they popped my faulty screen in for free even though it took them some time to fix it. Thank you Mr Fix team! read more

I have used Mr.Fix frequently and have always appreciated their services, prices, and work. Good customer service, will try and fix your product by a requested time. Super convenient (and a life saver for those of us with older electronics) to have it Charlottesville! read more

Thank you, Mr Fix Cell Phone & Computer Repair. Most ESPECIALLY THANK YOU, Domingo! Trustworthy, fantastic subject knowledge, and really made an above and beyond effort to figure out what the heck was wrong with my phone. Very impressed. Thank you. Domingo did the most extensive trouble-shotting imaginable. He spent a good chunck of time trouble shooting, eliminating the need for expensive solutions. Then patiently explained to me how to do a backup. He spent so much time helping me! read more

I recently cracked the screen on my older Galaxy phone. My partner had kept her old phone when she purchased a newer model. I took that phone and my phone with the broken screen to Mr. Fix on the downtown mall in Charlottesville. The gentleman was professional, competent, and helpful and had my phone fixed within the hour at a reasonable price. I would recommend this business to anyone needing a cellphone repair. Quick friendly convenient and reasonably priced. My iPhone screen went black after getting splashed and I feared the worst. Instead of charging me for water damage repair, Patrick only charged me for a screen replacement. Back up and running within a couple of hours. Every town needs a place like this! If you check in on Yelp, they'll knock $5 off your repair. read more

Mr Fix in Charlottesville is excellent and prompt. They diagnosed at my laptop hinges & cracked screen, ordered the parts, and my computer was repaired and fully functional much faster than I would have expected. Impressive compliance with safety during the pandemic, while still providing critical repairs. I highly recommend these knowledgeable professionals. I will use them again without hesitation. read more

Held onto my phone for months only to say they couldn't fix it. Poor communication when we tried to get updates.

I was in dire need! I had two computers and neither worked. After a local "computer doctor" spent 24 hours, charged WAY to much money, and didn't fix anything, I went into Mr. Fix and in 15 minutes, they had my "new" refurbished Mac totally working with my 500 Gig hard drive transferred from my old computer and they didn't charge me (I left my old computer with them and they honestly said they would swap my old keyboard with a new one and sell it). I will drive 1 hour and 15 minutes to go to Mr Fix again if I have computer problems! THANK YOU! read more

These guys are awesome! I took in my iPhone 6s Plus. As you can see from the pictures, it was rough. They told me it won first place for the worst phone they had ever seen. Congrats to me. The phone had fallen out of my pocket on 29 and was there for at least 25 minutes. I hadn't backed my phone up in over 2 years. They were able to swap out the screen, power up the phone, and help me back it all up to my lap top. They saved me!! Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They were also able to help me with my new phone (iPhone 6 plus) which was having issues. They were able to diagnose the issue and I returned the phone from where I got it and they saved me hundreds on repairs I would of had to do in the near future. They did all this at no charge! Came back the next day and thanked them again and bought a case for my new phone. Thanks again guys, you're a life saver. read more

My iPhone screen had a bad accident. I emailed Mr Fix for a quote and he emailed me back almost instantly, before the shop opened! We arranged and appointment for when it opened so I brought it in. $130 and half and hour later, my phone was as good as new. 30 minutes!!!! Awesome. read more

Came in after 7pm on a week night after shattering my phone screen, and this place fixed it in under 20 minutes! Friendly service, fast response, and lots of information-they offered me two different types of screens and made recommendations for better screen protectors/cases. I was recommended by a friend. Definitely worth going here for me. Very quick, only took 30 minutes, 110$ to replace iPhone screen and works great. read more

Chose Mr Fix Due to the great reviews and price point. It's on the downtown mall so heads up. Park in the deck because it's directly below - convenient in that aspect! Parking is free up to an hour. I'm docking a star because I had to go back multiple times to get my iPhone fully repaired. I do wish they'd call, email or text when your device is ready for pick up. I also wish they'd double check that it's in working order before notifying customer that it's ready. Not everyone lives near downtown and is kidless. Time is money. I'm definitely going to give them another shot, but know if you're leaving your device with them to encourage a notification once repaired and ready. *Management has touched base with me and I do appreciate their willingness to take critique and ensure staff touches base with customers. Thank you! read more

We had such a positive experience with this business. My son didn't realize his cellphone fell out of his pocket at the gym and he dropped a weight down on it, crushing it to the point that it wouldn't work. Verizon overnighted a new phone, but neither my son, Verizon, nor Apple could get the data from the crushed phone to transfer to the new one. Mr. Fix spent nearly 5 hours helping him access the data on the broken phone...they were able to put a temporary screen on it and get it to work for the purpose of transferring the data. They charged him a very minimal amount. I am so grateful they were knowledgeable and willing to spend the time to help him because he would have lost two years of phone data like pictures from trips. I highly recommend this business. read more

If I could give a zero star, I would. I know for many, including me, this is unexpected. In the past I experienced excellent and super quick service in Charlottesville. Not this time. I took my Dell laptop to Charlottesville Mr.Fix. The charger port needs to be replaced. I was told that the part had to be ordered, and it will be in by March 9 then my laptop will be fixed in a few hours. I dropped it off on March 11 and to this day it's still not repaired. read more

I had accidentally shattered my cell phone screen and this was the only place nearby (still a significant drive) that could repair it. They had to order the part, so I expected them to call me when it came in. They didn't. Even when I finally got down there for them to fix it, the screen was glued on funny. I didn't think too much of it because it wasn't going to look brand new. But after a couple of days, the back started to come unglued. And after more time it's only gotten worse, now even affecting the battery ability. This repair was too expensive for my phone to just fall apart like this. Garbage. read more

I visited Mr. Fix cell phone and computer repair shop recently in their convenient location on the downtown mall in Charlottesville. For the last two months I had wiggled, pinched, and tweezed my charger into my newish iPhone, restarting the device nearly every time just to get a little juice to keep the battery from dying. Before heading out to purchase a new phone, I luckily happened on this shop and experienced great service. The employee had seen this before and was confident in the way he cleaned, using some specific tools with the swift work of a tech-savvy computer guy and a skilled tradesman. Gobs of dust and pocket-lint flaked out of the charging port and it was easy to see why it hadn't been charging. Afterwards, my phone charged with no issues and he sent me on my way with a gesture of goodwill. I was happy to leave him a good tip. Mr. Fix bought me a little time before the inevitable upgrade, saving me the cost of a new phone. Many thanks and recommendations to the team at Mr. Fix cell phone and computer repair shop! read more

Do not purchase the Cellhelmet warranty or have your device screen fixed by this shop. I had a screen repair done July 25th and three days later the screen cracked again in my hand without any impact or damage. I had to take it back for a repair but they claimed I wasn't covered by their 30-day guarantee since there was a crack in the screen. Their worker Patrick told me I had to use my warranty claim to cover the repair but had failed to give me the means to activate my warranty upon purchase so I was swindled into paying for another one that I was unable to be reimbursed for due to a false explanation of the warranty terms. Don't waste your money here read more

Great place to get you phone fixed. Got my screen replaced in 20mins! Would recommend to friends

These guys were friendly and helpful. I had a water damaged iPhone 6 that couldn't turn on or charge, and I brought it in for a free diagnostic. They tried switching the battery with a new one to see if that would fix it. Within an hour, they got back to me; it didn't work, so they assumed the damage was more extensive. After I took my phone back, though, I saw that the screen was on. Somehow they had jump-started my phone in the process of diagnosing it, and now, with the exception of some screen water damage, my phone works again--at no cost to me. Thanks Mr. Fix! read more

My phone wouldn't charge unless you stood the phone upside down, twisted the cord into an inverted figure of 8 knot while hopping up and down on one leg singing Yankee Doodle Dandy. It was pretty frustrating, and this had been going on for months. Hours of google searching yielded no help. Enter Alex. I passed by Mr. Fix walking down the mall. I figured it was worth a shot before jumping into the snake pit that is the version store or the apple store. In a minute Alex identified the problem, in 15 minutes he'd opened up the phone, replaced the faulty part, and put it back together better than new. Now the phone charges no problem and I can even play podcasts in my car. Thank you Alex! read more

I chose Mr Fix to replace a cracked screen on my iPad due to the positive reviews here. Unfortunately my experience was extremely frustrating and drawn out. In mid-December, I brought in a perfectly working high-end iPad 5 (cellar connection and 128GB storage) and when it was returned to me via mail five days later, the screen which had a minor crack was replaced, but the iPad would not charge past 4% and the touch button worked only sometimes. I was appalled that it was returned in this broken state. I returned the iPad (via mail) and when it was returned for the second time, the charging mechanism worked again, but the touch button (which worked perfectly before I took it in) works only sporadically. For the past month, I have asked Mr Fix to refund the $99 I paid along with reimbursing me for shipping costs. My rationale for requesting a refund is that I brought in a perfectly working top-of-the-line iPad and I now have a device with a faulty touch button. I went for nearly five weeks without access to this device. I was told by MrFix customer service rep that they would not provide a refund, but that they would buy the iPad from me. After I refused their offer of $80, they offered $150. I was perplexed that they could not provide a $99 refund for breaking my iPad, but they were wiling to pay $150 to buy it. According to a google search, my iPad, refurbished, will sell for between $250 (eBay) and $400 (apple). At this point, I was done with Mr Fix. I refused their offer and purchased a new iPad on sale at Costco. Adding to my frustration with this entire experience, several days after I received my iPad from MrFix for the second time, one corner of the "new" screen shattered when the iPad was dropped no more than a few inches onto a wooden table. I was told that that was my fault. I have owned two iPads over the past ten and the only time I had a glass break was when it was dropped over a stair rail ten feet onto a tile floor. read more

A bad experience. I waited an hour for a repair just to be told it would take over a week. He told me after an hour that he wanted to work on other jobs that came in AFTER me and that he would work on mine whenever he had free time. So much for first come first serve. He said he would call me with an update since I need my iPad for my job, but he never called me. I finally called him and he said I would need to come down again to make a deposit, knowing it was a 1 hour round trip drive for me. He refused to take a credit card number over the phone for the deposit and it was negligent not to give me an opportunity to make a deposit before leaving the first time I came there. He was snide, indifferent and of course unable to fix the problem. A wasted 2 day experience. A zero star performance. read more

Two kids working. Really unprofessional. Fighting over who had to wait on us. Making snide remarks about how they don't make enough money. One of the kids just really rude all around. Also they want you to make a yelp review for a discount before they even do anything to your device. Pay the extra money to go somewhere better. read more

The only reason I've given one star, is because I can't write a review without it. I was with someone when they bought an iPad cover, and was told if it didn't fit the iPad they could bring it back. We went back the next week, with the receipt, to return it for any exchange or refund. The clerk working at the time, was working on a cell phone and would not even look at the person or the receipt, but said he would not exchange or give a refund. Needless to say the conversation became heated. I never spoke a word, I was calm the whole time. With emotions running high, we walked out the store, leaving the iPad cover on the counter. After a few minutes, I went back in and asked for the cover, the clerk said we couldn't have it back and took it off the counter. So we had to leave the cover plus out the cost of it. I call that stealing. Do not use the store in Short Pump , VA.. read more

Once again I couldn't be more impressed by this place. Today the guy behind the counter replaced the battery in my iPhone, sold me a replacement charger cord for my laptop, & gave me advice on some other little repairs--all for less than the cord alone would've cost at the Mac store. Straightforward, quick, cheap. My first stop for computer work in Charlottesville. read more
