Came here in a late Saturday due to seeing their menu and pictures of food on Yelp. Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed due to renovations. The bartender who took our order was very sweet. After asking for the food menu, they explained the renovations they were being done and invited us to come back next week. Since we were out-of-towners visiting, we explained we couldn't. My boyfriend ordered a Stella Artois while I had a mixed drink. Prices were very reasonable. Nice atmosphere to come and hangout with friends. Open till two with plenty of parking. read more

Last night was my first night out in Phoenix since March 16th. Linger was one of the last bars I went to that weekend before the Covid shutdowns and based on how amazing the owners have been since day 1 - putting people and public safety over profits - I wanted to show my support to them first. Well, they absolutely didn't disappoint! They're doing window service from the patio which has tables set up with proper social distancing. The game room is open also with tables spread out. Hand sanitizer at the window and at a table near the entrance. Staff are all wearing masks and greeting you with excitement as per usual. Oh! I didn't eat there last night but I'm so stoked that Der Wurst Hot Dogs has set up shop in their kitchen. Having been a regular pre-Covid on Monday nights specifically, I loved grabbing one of those delish gourmet wieners while playing trivia so it's awesome that I'll be able to order one any night of the week now! All in all, I highly recommend coming to Linger for a drink or a bite. So go show a local bar that genuinely cares about its patrons and people in general some love while practicing proper safety measures! read more

The bar and staff are top quality and make great cocktails from an Old Fashioned to a standard dive bar vodka soda. Lots of good Non Alcoholic options too! Food wise: probably the best chicken tenders and most creative menu of hot dogs in Phoenix (Der Wurst). They even have vegan friendly options. Not to mention the other quality pop-up restaurants that occasionally use the kitchen throughout the year. Dog F. sounds like an insane person implying the owner would rather poison people they don't like instead of taking their money and talking shit about them after they leave like any other successful business owner. read more

I'm glad to have had so many great nights here before it started going downhill. Last year, their themed dance parties, or "Tongue Tied" ceased to exist, and weren't replaced with anything noteworthy. Soon after, ownership changed--it's some supergroup of former employees, with others from The Rogue as well as Gracie's Tax Bar. So naturally I'm thinking "oh they'll just make it a punk bar". And I had trouble coming to terms with that given a bar further south on 16th street has been executing that concept flawlessly for quite some time now. Their formula for doing so was pretty generic, as they simply installed a jukebox and expanded the area in which you can smoke. If you ever visited the aforementioned dive bars, those changes aren't a surprise. Buuut...here's the deal: LLL's identity was a cool disco/lounge for a predominantly older millennial/younger Gen X crowd to dance. I am absolutely down for changing it up, but at least have a vision. Abandoning the kitchen altogether and replacing it all with a pasta food truck was ill-advised, if not lazy. Credit for doing something unique with food--no one thinks of pasta when they think pub food--but I mean come on, that's for good reason. It's sloppy, and not very sharable. It's asking for marinara to just get everywhere. I am not fully against food trucks, so long as they rotate. But banking on your customers enjoying just one type of food when they had many options before is asking for a lot. Oh, and bye bye to signature drinks as well, it appears. Fortunately, the bar doesn't seem to have undergone any more fundamental changes than that. It makes sense to me that in both my visits since the change, this place has been totally dead. It's gone from a surefire way to impress my downtown/Tempe loving friends with a hidden gem off the beaten path, to one of the valley's boring and nondescript strip mall watering holes. It's not fun any more. I am wary of going out of my way here once more, and with cooler places perennially failing just west on 7th street, I fear for its longevity. On its current trajectory, I don't think this spot survives 2020. Nevertheless, I hope it gets better. I'll give it another try should they post new events with more than a dozen people interested. But will I give it a good review? Not yet. read more

We had a party here for my birthday and it was great fun. There's a party room that has two pool tables, two skee ball machines, two dart boards, as well as lots of board games. He made great sausage and cheese boards along with vegetarian boards. The Schnitzel Chicken fingers are really tasty as is the handmade kettle chips and onion dip. I highly recommend the LLL! About a month ago I decided I wanted to throw a birthday party for my dog. I wanted something where a few friends could get together, relax, and celebrate while still feeling comfortable about social distancing. I had heard that Linger Longer Lounge will do private events. After talking with Jade and securing the date I realized how great this dog party was going to be. The patio all to ourselves with the gates closed so the pups could safely play, delicious food, and awesome cocktails! Jade really went above and beyond she set up the cutest lil dog area with astroturf, a birthday banner, party hats, and treats. Linger is one of my absolute favorite bars in uptown Phoenix. With several different rooms and entertainment offerings you can basically spend your entire weekend here and have a different experience each night. Want to get your trivia on? Bring a crew on Mondays to participate! What about games? Have you seen that game room? Make a tournament bracket and get competitive. Like to dance? Drop by on Friday or Sat where local deejays light up the dance floor. Like the Suns? They host viewing parties. Not to mention the staff is so so nice and chill. Casey Jones is a white pizza with mushrooms, it is great on its own but I like to add chorizo. Wall of sound is a great meat lover type pizza that I like to add jalapeños for some kick. My Mountain Bike group meets up there after rides. Good craft beers on draft and good food keep us coming back every week. Michelle the bartender is my favorite. This place is super cute. I love the mesmerizing bar counter top and the dark indoor vibe. I also love how discreet and hidden it seems from the front, when we pulled up we were convinced it was actually very dead inside or closed, but this is just because the entrance and parking are around back. The separate game room area is also a bonus, and I am disappointed in myself for not playing a game of skee ball. I am also a fan of half price wine night, which is Wednesday. I wanted to get a glass of wine, but when I discovered I could get the whole bottle and take it to go for nearly the same price if I didn't finish it, I was sold. The house red is a great deal! Sounds like they do lots of other fun events here, we had originally thought of coming to check out bingo, but didn't make it in time. They were super helpful when we called to find about the events going on for the week while we were in town. I was tempted by both the fried pickles and the zucchini chips, but neglected to try either. There doesn't appear to be much night entertainment in this area so definitely consider this if you need a place to chill. This seems like the ideal place for an indepth conversation. read more

Really disappointed. I moved to this area about 7 years ago and would find this place to be the right amount of good vibes. The special cocktails from their in-house menu, to the food (the baked Brie was my fav) and other appetizers, to the themed nights. It was all good vibes. Not every night was packed but there were great times from the theme dance parties, alcohol tastings, jack-bingo or trivia. Skip to Thursday night. We stopped in after a long day just wanting a quick cocktail to end the night. Walked in and noticed the changes immediately: complete smokers patio , decor was different, Board showing the new food truck and even the bathroom was darker with new decor. We sat down and asked for menus, the bartender had the energy of daria but worse. She was nice but not really welcoming by any means. This is were we learned there was no menu, no kitchen, new owners and was now considered a basic bar and the food truck closed early. Needless to say, we were so disappointed bc they got rid of ALL the things that made that place great. The bartender made him an old fashioned and I had a vodka lemonade --- they were less than great and we didn't even finish them. We paid our tab, left a tip and left. This bar is truly one of the best in uptown. The decor, food, and music are well curated to provide a relaxed, fun, and inclusive vibe that doesn't come without the evident passion of the owners. The three owners are always there making sure people are well taken care of and the operation is running smoothly. This surprisingly is not often needed as the caliber of staff is professional, friendly, and efficient. They stay in touch with drink trends, with many of their bartenders being well versed in cocktails, along with bringing in more in vogue pour options such as local crafts and fernet on tap. Take a spin by their jukebox which was recently voted "best of Phoenix", play some games in their game rooms (post covid), and always feel free to stop in for a good time. We came here on a Monday night (my "Friday" - everyone else's Monday... apparently I have some pretty tolerant friends). I've been told that my experience isn't the norm and that Linger Longer is packed out on the weekends. That said, if you're looking for a chill place to talk with friends over a delicious cocktail or two, Linger Longer on a weekday night is the place to be. There were a few groups of people in the bar watching a sports game, and all the booths were open in the dimly-lit bar. We grabbed drinks from the friendly bartender and wandered over to a nice cozy booth near the board game (!!) selection. I had the Coco-Mo, which was perfectly flavored and not too sweet. We didn't order food this time, but the drinks were spot-on. 100% will be back, and probably on a weekday again. read more

I really didn't enjoy my experience here. I had been wanting to try this bar since I moved into the neighborhood so I went in with great anticipation. For me it's rare that I get to go out and drink because I follow very strict nutrition protocols, so when I do I really want to have a good time. We walked in and walked up to the bar. We we're not greeted, even though there were 3 people behind the bar. The bar was dirty and we had to ask for it be wiped down. The staff was not friendly and really didn't seem interested in serving us. Then when we did get service, none of the alcohol that we wanted was in stock. We walked out and to a local dive bar and got great service and had a great time. I give it 3 stars, because I'm willing to try it again. But it will be a while.... read more

Though they aren't Burchie's they are the closest thing to our standard of hot dog which consists of that NY style flavors only an all beef wiener can provide. Love Linger Longer! The owners are great, the bar staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is so enjoyable and unique. Moody lighting and vintage touches that add so much personality. Jade, Cal, and Manny have just gone above and beyond with reopening this year. They have spaced out tables, sanitizer, mask regulation, and temp checks. It makes me feel super safe and comfortable and that they prioritize me and my heath. They also now have Nick from Der Wurst holding down the kitchen with his original menu. I've enjoyed his food since the hot dog cart days, and I'm super pleased to see this collaboration. Great beer and cocktail selection being served with a smile (you kind of have to assume that per mask policy)and warm conversation with the staff. Lastly, just received "best jukebox" from Phoenix New Times, and I totally agree. Well curated music for all ears and makes me excited for when their DJ nights come back! Attended for a Yelp event and enjoyed the experience. I definitely need to go back to try out the food and their Happy Hour. The bartenders were friendly and even customized a drink for me based on my prefer. They had Tito's infused lavender drink on tap along with Maker's Mark Manhattans, that's worth the try.
