There were a series of excellent reviews. I sent hima a message and he got back to me right away. When we spoke, Ian himself walked me through the troubleshooting over the phone. He suggested it could be a bad bulb connection (take it out and clean the contacts) or an issue with the wall switch. Sure enough, it turned out to be our dimmer switch -- it just couldn't hold the charge properly and was causing the constant flickering. What really stands out is that Ian could have easily scheduled a service call and charged me a couple hundred bucks to come out. Instead, he gave me the exact fix for free and saved me the hassle and expense. In a world where so many companies push for paid visits, this level of honesty and helpfulness is rare and genuinely appreciated. While it cost me nothing, it cost him his time.I As a result, I promised Ian I'd write a glowing review, and here it is. These guys were one of the few that could handle the concrete work, and they also handle all the permit work as well. Staff worked hard, finished everything quickly and made sure the work site was clean as a whistle after they finished. Everyone was really friendly, from the receptionist on the phone, the staff and the people giving me estimates. It's been more than a year since I got my EV charger installed, and I haven't noticed any problems since then. Price-wise, I feel it was pretty fair especially considering how they made everything so convenient. All in all, they did everything well. I'd have no problems recommending them to others, and will likely go back to them when I need other things addressed in the house.

They do work as a crew so there were about 5 people working at any given time. They are also a young crew that needs a bit of experience but they are committed to doing a good job. And they handled themselves professionally. There were some hiccups along the work site. I also requested a conduit extension to the garage and during the line excavation, a sprinkler line was accidentally cut. Diego took responsibility and covered the cost of the plumber to repair the line. He was also able to get a good referral on stucco work that needed to be done near the panels. He upgraded all my lighting, restroom fans, exterior lighting and add outlets throughout the home. His prices were extremely high and I allowed him to do the job as he is licensed and I assumed he would be doing professional work and guarantee his work. As he was doing some of the jobs everything seemed to be going well. His workers were nice and professional. Once he was installing my exterior lighting I was questioning the quality of the fixtures he was putting in. Since I was paying almost $50,000 for the job I assumed everything was top quality, i was wrong. He installed the cheapest lighting, fans, and exterior low voltage lights. Within a couple weeks the lights in my house were going out, the fans were rattling, and the wiring was coming up from exterior planters of which he assured me were going to installed 6"deep. Also he claimed to have the cleanest installation of which I was shocked to see was wrong. When I went to pay him he requested to pay him individually to not pay taxes. When I paid him he didn't provide me with receipts for the work or close out the invoices he originally provided me online. After the install I noticed he was using wire nuts not all weather clamps to install the exterior lighting since the wires were all coming up. Also my new LED can lights he installed started going out. Also the exterior lighting fixtures were falling apart as well. My bathroom fans started to rattle. Also i checked all the exterior wiring was not installed 6" under the ground like he put on his invoice. I tried to ask him to fix these items and provide me with my receipts and he didn't respond to me and has left me high and dry. Per law any licensed contractor has to provide a 1 year guarantee on their work. I called 2 other licensed contractors to provide the same estimates of the work he performed and their prices were 20-30% cheaper than his as well. He also acted as contractor for concrete and had my entry done with wrong finishes and color of which he is only licensed to do electrical not concrete or general contractor. Since he is non responsive, i now have to file a complaint with the licensing board and hire another electrician to fix the work he has done. I would not work with him again and I hope anyone gets second options on price and confirm the materials you use with Sergio Garcia and his company.

He helped us choose a design for our project and worked with the concrete contractor to get conduit installed prior to the concrete pour. By informing my wife and I about product choices we didn't know existed, we were able to make our vision a reality. With prompt and reliable communication from Steve, we were able to get an estimate and start the lighting after the concrete workers had already started. Steve exceeded my expectations by being flexible with the schedule of the other trades working the project and making time for our job on very short notice. The products installed look and work great. The installation work is impeccable and the support and follow up after the work was completed has been tremendous. Our project was small, but I can tell that a larger job would be no problem. I would use South Bay Lights again and would recommend without hesitation.
