I've got to give it to Hector - he's amazing. It's Sunday afternoon, and my house has no power. I called at least five companies that claim to be open 24/7 - no luck. Then I called Hector. He picked up right away, asked me to send a couple of photos of the junction box, and showed up in just 30 minutes. Power was back on in under an hour. On a Sunday afternoon, no less! Absolutely great job. read more

As always, with a major job over 5 figures I look to my Yelp family to find the best vendor near me. This case was no different. I reached out to 5 vendors to remove my 65 year old electrical panel, and install a solar ready panel, along with a transfer switch to hook up my duel power generator (which I bought 2 years ago, talk about a major case of procrastination!) in case of a rolling black out her in Southern California. Got Light's Alma was rapid and complete in her communications, and they were highly competitive. Hector, the owner, was friendly and worked with me on the schedule. The job was done by Eric and Jay, who worked many hours on my older home. I couldn't be happier with their work. It is always a plus when the owner comes out to work and supervises the project, and is available to the customer to answer or handle any questions or concerns. I will reach out to them for a big interior job to put can lights throughout our home in the future. If I need any additional electrical work I will be sure to get Got Light on the horn! read more

So a representative came through and I couldn't believe I needed to hire someone because I felt so stupid after he left. A little back story, my husband and I purchased a condo just over a year ago and things have been going awry since we moved in. So when something goes wrong, we automatically think the worst. Recently, an outlet in our primary room and the kitchen lights went out all within a week of each other. My instincts are to go to Yelp and get someone here as quickly as I am available. And that's exactly what I did (yes, I have homeowners insurance to cover but completely forgot). Got Lights responded to my inquiry and has the best price. We schedule an arrangement and someone come out came out when they were scheduled, so no problem there. I would recommend a few things: 1- have the reps put on shoe covers when they're walking into someone's home with carpet. 2- have someone who can communicate with the customers. We had a bit of a language barrier, luckily my husband speaks Spanish and I was able to call him. The rep was very nice, I just wish there was someone to assist before I called my husband to help with how much I owed. 3- Never turn down a job if it's within your scope of work. He helped me discover that a light switch behind the room door was a reason the outlet in our room wasn't working, so of course I felt stupid. But he wasn't able to assist me with the light fixture that had completely gone out and needs to be replaced. Luckily, I'm pretty handy and can get it done, but I would have paid him whatever his rate to buy the light strip at Home Depot and replace the light stripes. The only reason I didn't give them five stars it's because of that. We are thinking of upgrading our panel. I would call them again if that is something they do, I'll have my husband available next time. read more

I needed a new chandelier installed before our house guests arrived. Did At Lighting Zone recommended that I call Hector at Got Light. He was so helpful and able to send someone the next morning. Jesse arrived on time and did a beautiful job installing it. He also put in a new led dimmer switch and helped my husband with our outside lights. We will most definitely be calling them again. read more

Recently had Jesse help us out with installing a ceiling fan in our bedroom. He was very professional and a nice guy. A citywide electrical issue caused a surge which resulted in an explosion of the light switch in my bathroom. Yes- an explosion. I called Got Light and they were able to send a technician in a matter of hours. Jay was professional, knowledgeable, dilligent, and HONEST. I appreciated the fact that he was explaining everything he was doing, and what he was looking for. He was thorough in checking all the wiring and the fuse box to make sure there were no issues with any other circuits or damage to any other wires from the surge. Jay definitely went above and beyond! The prices are beyond fair in comparison to the competitors. I would highly recommend them for any electrical work. read more

Hector came out on a Saturday to help with our circuit box that was acting very strangely. Within a few hours of contacting him he was able to make a trip over and diagnose the issue, a failed breaker, very quickly and set our minds at ease after a very frustrating evening trying to diagnose the problem ourselves. Hector was friendly, professional and not a personality to "deal with" as I've often experienced with independent contractors. He really helped demystify the reason for our ongoing electricity issues and was not too pushy about replacing our entire breaker box even though he strongly recommended it based on the condition it is in. He'll be our first call for any ongoing electrical issues and when we pull the trigger on the breaker box. He was knowledgable, efficient and easy to have around. read more

We can't say enough good things about Got Electric-- their proficiency, their ability to work with the regulators and the cities, their timeliness, their creative solutions etc. We had them replace our outdoor panel which was not a simple task. Overpriced and horrible to work with. There's much better electricians out there. Don't waste your time with these people.

This company was referred by my uncle. So glad I called Alex at Got LigElectric. Texted me right back, set an appointment within couple of days! My husband and I were concerned it may be a big problem. All kitchen outlets were not working. Alex showed up exactly on time He knew exactly what to do , took him less than 1 hour. Recently purchased a home and I wanted to upgrade my Electric Panel to 200 Amp from the 50 Amp box the house had installed. Hector came over and gave me a quick walk through of the process and estimate of costs. The entire wish list of items I had was: panel upgrade and relocation, troubleshooting various power outlets in the home that were faulty or non-working, install new circuit for garbage disposal in kitchen sink, new circuit for washer/dryer in garage, 2 new outlets in garage (one for automatic garage door/light and another for workshop), install 2 exterior plugs in backyard for lights/entertaining purposes and a motion light in backyard. While the list was long Hector mentioned being able to start on the job within a couple weeks due to backlog and finishing within 3 days. His team showed up on time everyday and was very respectful and professional when working on my house. They took their time to clean up after each day and ensure I wasn't left without power over night. The job itself took about 4 to 5 days to complete however and was extended by a minor inspector issue but not due to bad workmanship. A couple weeks since the repairs and I have no complaints. Got Electric is reasonably priced and they get the job done right. I would highly recommend you give them a call when looking for estimates on your next home project. I will definitely be calling them again soon to help me with a Smart door bell installation and will recommend them to my friends and family. Thanks Hector and Team! read more

Hector came out to my house last week to give me a quote on three outdoor recessed lighting installation and three outdoor outlet installation. His quote was an outrageous amount of $1,750. Hector and his team provided superb service and really set the bar high for electricians. Professional, on time, and the cleanest work I have witnessed. I bought a 1200 sq ft condo with vaulted ceilings in every room and zero light. The bathrooms were outdated and had bad vents. In two days time hector and his crew installed 34 recess lights, 2 bathrooms vents, replaced 21 outdated electrical outlets and basically re-wired the entire place. They were super careful with my condo and kept the areas clean as they worked. They are worth every dollar. You get what you pay for!!!! I am so happy with the final product! I installed smart dimmers and sensors in all the bathrooms. I am literally in a brand new house now. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! read more

Hector and his team at Got Light Electric did an A+ job fixing our electrical issue. We were dealing with a broken chandelier that was particularly hard to reach in our two-story home. I called a few places, and Hector with Got Light Electric was the most professional and easy to work with. He was able to schedule his crew to come out within a few days and communicated well via phone/text. When his 2-person crew arrived, I was very impressed with their cleanliness and COVID-related precautions. We have had various workers in our home recently, and I must say the crew with Got Light Electric have been the most clean, professional, and respectful while doing their job. They wore masks and shoe covers the whole time, and spoke very respectfully to me and my wife. When going to their truck to get a tool, they would remove their shoe covers, then put them back on when coming back inside. These little meticulous precautions mean a lot as we all try to keep our families safe, and I am very grateful. When it came to the job, these guys were top notch. They carefully planned some advanced ladder placement skills to get up to the hard to reach chandelier. Once up there, they found the problem quickly and were able to fix it. They warned me their ladder may scuff the new paint job, but they were so careful that there was no damage at all. They covered the floors, stairs, and their ladder legs to protect our home. Given the professionalism and level of skill these guys bring to the table, the cost is reasonable. If you have any electrical needs, I would highly recommend Got Light Electric! read more

First, I must state that Got Light Electric has a 5-star rating for a reason--they are phenomenal!!! I needed to have wiring done in my home garage to power a treadmill that continued to short when plugged to any outlet. I messaged Hector with Got Light Electric and he immediately responded to my inquiry. He provided a fair estimate that was within the same range as another electrician. However, I elected to go with Got Light Electric due to their reviews. I must add that if so many people have had such positive experiences with this company that is a HUGE selling point. In addition, Got Light Electric was able to get me a timely appoint to complete the work, including a last minute addition to the initially requested job. Specifically, at the last minute my husband sought to have wiring work done for a Tesla he would be purchasing next month. I inquired of Hector if the additional task could be added to the original work-order, and he was kind enough to include it without cancelling my scheduled appointment. Moreover, upon arriving to my home, they were extremely professional and timely in completing the work. Took steps to ensure that the proper wiring for the specific charger my husband needed for the Tesla was installed. Additionally, politely answered a ton of silly questions asked by my husband to ensure he received the correct wiring for his Tesla charger. In summation, wonderful company, outstanding service, and will use them again for all my future electrical needs! I love finding great companies like this that provide wonderful service. Trust the reviews, the 5-stars are there for a reason!!! :-) read more

Called them in to install and repair some lights in our back yard. Great and quick service. Will call them for all my electrical needs.

I used Got Light for an emergency outage at my rental property on the hottest day of the year. Could not have been more impressed with their service. Spent $6K with Got Light installing new ceiling lights and an EV charger. Alex and his team were very responsive initially. Once the work was completed and they were paid, Alex became totally unresponsive when I contacted him to tell him about an issue with the lights they installed. All 12 of our ceiling lights in the living room flicker and dim randomly and I've attempted 3 times to get a response from Alex and have heard nothing. If they don't respond to support their work, I will be filing a complaint with the state contractors license board and take legal action to get them to address this poor workmanship. In my mind, what makes a contractor good or great is how well they support their customers AFTER they cashed the check and are fully paid. Has Alex and the rest of his Got Light team stood by their work only a few weeks after they cashed their last check? So far the answer is no. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for your electrical needs. read more

These guys are awesome!! I had them do a 200 amp panel upgrade. The quote was all inclusive (200 amp panel, new mast, weather head, new ground rods, permits, and even the stucco repair and matched the paint perfect!) Everything done to code and passed inspection. I liked how they got the permits and contacted the utility. All I had to do was sit back and relax! They supplied temp power to a few items in the house( fridge, wifi, etc). They had the panel done and full power to the house back on the same day. They were on time and the communication was on point. I will be using them again! read more

I don't write a lot of reviews, but the service and workmanship from this place made me dig up my Yelp credentials after 9+ years to recognize them for amazing service and a fantastic job. They fixed my electrical issue (lazy wiring by my contractor...even I know to make a pigtail for downstream outlets) for not just the problem outlet, but Hector even checked other possible problem outlets and fixed those as well. This was not an easy task as our breaker panel was on the 1st floor and all the electrical issues were on the 2nd floor... in another building. He cheerfully trudged up and down the stairs to switch breakers on & off and then test outlets with no complaint. Even with my elderly father trying to give him advice (micro-manage) during the task. He even checked other issues our tenant had in another building that I mentioned offhand as an issue he could come back and check later. He said that as long as he's here he might as well take a look, and he was able to fix that as well, (re-wiring a burnt out breaker switch). Then when he gave me the bill I was shocked...at how low it was! I had to include a decent tip to make up for it as I felt I was robbing him, especially during Covid times. If you're in their service area and have electrical issues, give Hector a call. He arrived on time, masked up, extremely patient, and ready to listen to me and take care of the electrical problems I was facing. read more

I called Got Light and they responded faster than the other two companies. I started with only wanting two outdoor outlets and a vented exhaust fan installed in the restroom. I added a new porch light to match the back patio light and dusk to dawn LED flood light for the backyard that I purchased the day before installation. They were very polite and understanding and will consider your ideas or dislikes and work towards an agreeable outcome. I will definitely use their service again. I will update you on the venting for the exhaust fan. My roof is fairly new; 2 1/2 years old so it was vented to the side of the house and because it's in the attic I can't say for certain, because I couldn't see for myself, that all the air is being blown outside or some maybe escaping into the attic where it could cause mold over time from long showers. Anywho, once some poor unsuspecting soul goes to attic for any reason I'll be able to give an update later. Love the work and professionalism keep up the good work guys. read more

I have used Got LIght Electric twice in the past 6 weeks. Each time they did a great job at my rental units, installing in two bathrooms, fan, heater, light combo units. One of these, the wiring at switch was a snake den of mismatched wiring from previous botched electrical work. They corrected the wiring. At the same time in other units they installed a wall light, dimmer and a ceiling light. I was very pleased with the quality of work. It took 2 guys quite a bit of time to install the combo units. They had to do some some light construction work to get these installed correctly, in addition to the electric work. I was very satisfied so I had them come back a few weeks later to install dimmer and two new LED kitchen lights. They were very clean during working both times. They put down tarps and plastic sheeting to minimize clean up. When they were done, they swept and disposed of the old parts and trash. The office let me know when they were on their way to the job site and they showed up during the scheduled window of time. I will use them again for electrical work. I think you will be satisfied. read more
