They helped me prolong the life of an outdated main panel, and I will definitely be using them to replace it soon. This is in contrast to another company that quoted me almost twice as much for a panel replacement and seemed to employ scare tactics to try to get me to sign. After the initial service, there was an issue that was arguably unrelated, but Ian promptly sent someone out to fix the issue without fuss because it had gone unnoticed during the first visit. I also have nothing but good things to say about the folks working under Ian. They were all easy-going and willing to spend the few extra minutes to answer my questions, so that I understood the problem and the solution. Happy I finally found my go-to electrician!

Highly Recommended - Excellent Service…read more Great service from South Bay Electricians! They helped us resolve a challenging electrical issue in our home, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. Derek and Tyler were thoughtful, polite, and highly professional throughout the process. They took the time to thoroughly explain what was going on and kept us informed every step of the way. Despite the difficulty of the situation, they were able to identify the root cause, an obscure line break hidden behind a closet where no panel even existed. Their attention to detail and expertise were impressive, and they were able to fix the issue completely and restore everything to proper working order. We were extremely pleased with their work and professionalism. We would absolutely hire them again and highly recommend South Bay Electricians to anyone in need of reliable, skilled, and courteous electrical service.

These guys were one of the few that could handle the concrete work, and they also handle all the permit work as well. Staff worked hard, finished everything quickly and made sure the work site was clean as a whistle after they finished. Everyone was really friendly, from the receptionist on the phone, the staff and the people giving me estimates. It's been more than a year since I got my EV charger installed, and I haven't noticed any problems since then. Price-wise, I feel it was pretty fair especially considering how they made everything so convenient. All in all, they did everything well. I'd have no problems recommending them to others, and will likely go back to them when I need other things addressed in the house.

Everything was done very well and very quickly! Extremely competitive quote as well. When I initially reached out I wanted quotes from multiple businesses so I requested 3 businesses from yelp to come out. Of those quotes, the only one I got back in a timely manner was from Mario Castillo electric, one of the others came out and then just never go back to me with the quote, the other got back to me but over a week late (also came in super high), we're so happy we worked with these guys! Geo was excellent and super professional when he did the quote, the guys who came out to do the work were great as well. Very efficient and clean. Will for sure choose this business again in the future!

Beware of Price Gouging and Poor Quality Installation and Materials!! I recently had Nova Electric,…read moreSergio Garcia do my electrical work at my new home. He upgraded all my lighting, restroom fans, exterior lighting and add outlets throughout the home. His prices were extremely high and I allowed him to do the job as he is licensed and I assumed he would be doing professional work and guarantee his work. As he was doing some of the jobs everything seemed to be going well. His workers were nice and professional. Once he was installing my exterior lighting I was questioning the quality of the fixtures he was putting in. Since I was paying almost $50,000 for the job I assumed everything was top quality, i was wrong. He installed the cheapest lighting, fans, and exterior low voltage lights. Within a couple weeks the lights in my house were going out, the fans were rattling, and the wiring was coming up from exterior planters of which he assured me were going to installed 6"deep. Also he claimed to have the cleanest installation of which I was shocked to see was wrong. When I went to pay him he requested to pay him individually to not pay taxes. When I paid him he didn't provide me with receipts for the work or close out the invoices he originally provided me online. After the install I noticed he was using wire nuts not all weather clamps to install the exterior lighting since the wires were all coming up. Also my new LED can lights he installed started going out. Also the exterior lighting fixtures were falling apart as well. My bathroom fans started to rattle. Also i checked all the exterior wiring was not installed 6" under the ground like he put on his invoice. I tried to ask him to fix these items and provide me with my receipts and he didn't respond to me and has left me high and dry. Per law any licensed contractor has to provide a 1 year guarantee on their work. I called 2 other licensed contractors to provide the same estimates of the work he performed and their prices were 20-30% cheaper than his as well. He also acted as contractor for concrete and had my entry done with wrong finishes and color of which he is only licensed to do electrical not concrete or general contractor. Since he is non responsive, i now have to file a complaint with the licensing board and hire another electrician to fix the work he has done. I would not work with him again and I hope anyone gets second options on price and confirm the materials you use with Sergio Garcia and his company.

Top-notch work, all permits pulled correctly, no corners cut. When I later sold the house, an electrical issue came up during the sale -- turned out LADWP had dropped the ball, not Madison. But Madison treated it like their own problem, coordinated with LADWP directly, and had the whole thing resolved within 48 hours. They're skilled, ethical, and responsive. The kind of contractor you actually want to recommend to friends. Couldn't ask for better.

I also have a new build construction home with the wires pre wired so the actual work was not difficult at all. However (which I didn't know at the time), the Nema 14-50 plug that they bought at Home Depot and installed is not commercial grade (ie. Rated for EV charger use). It was a $15 plug and I only realized that when I want to use the EVSE charger at the maximum intended 40 amps, the socket would get extremely hot to the touch. I was worried about it melting (as you can google similiar stories) so I have been charging the car at only 20 amps max because I didn't want to spend more money on fixing the issue. 20 amps is fine and I can get a full charge overnight, it just takes longer since it's a slow charge. I'm finally posting this because I'm using the charger very frequently now (since I had free public charging for my EV which ended so now I have to charge at home) and I do wish my nema 14-50 plug was a heavy duty one so I can use the max amps of my juicebox. I didn't know then since I was a new EV owner so I want to make sure that other EV owners are aware and advocate for themselves/double check the work to make sure your house is safe!
