Nathan takes his business seriously and genuinely care about their customers. Looking forward to seeing more of what they do!

I hired Madison Electric in September 2022 to install an EV charger. Communication and the work quality was great, I have no complaints. The cost quoted included labor and parts. I also have a new build construction home with the wires pre wired so the actual work was not difficult at all. However (which I didn't know at the time), the Nema 14-50 plug that they bought at Home Depot and installed is not commercial grade (ie. Rated for EV charger use). It was a $15 plug and I only realized that when I want to use the EVSE charger at the maximum intended 40 amps, the socket would get extremely hot to the touch. I was worried about it melting (as you can google similiar stories) so I have been charging the car at only 20 amps max because I didn't want to spend more money on fixing the issue. 20 amps is fine and I can get a full charge overnight, it just takes longer since it's a slow charge. I'm finally posting this because I'm using the charger very frequently now (since I had free public charging for my EV which ended so now I have to charge at home) and I do wish my nema 14-50 plug was a heavy duty one so I can use the max amps of my juicebox. I didn't know then since I was a new EV owner so I want to make sure that other EV owners are aware and advocate for themselves/double check the work to make sure your house is safe! read more

Luis and Adan did great work. Communication with Nathan the owner was also splendid. Will definitely call them again next time we need electrician services. read more

If you're looking for an electrician in LA, stop searching and call Nathan from Madison Electric. They installed an EV charger and did the electrical work on my home when I bought it. Top-notch work, all permits pulled correctly, no corners cut. When I later sold the house, an electrical issue came up during the sale -- turned out LADWP had dropped the ball, not Madison. But Madison treated it like their own problem, coordinated with LADWP directly, and had the whole thing resolved within 48 hours. They're skilled, ethical, and responsive. The kind of contractor you actually want to recommend to friends. Couldn't ask for better. read more

I don't know what happened but Madison Electric just stopped responding or communicating in any way after giving an estimate. Very disappointed. read more

I went here to get some items and to meet some electricians.great place with friendly service. Will be going back when I need supplies.

They expertly repaired the kitchen lighting fixtures that had been out for four years. I only have the highest praise for this company. - Responded promptly - Provided an upfront cost estimate - Offered reasonable pricing after assessing the fixtures - Fixed the issue immediately - Completed the work within an hour - Left the area spotless DONE! I highly recommend their services. read more

Reached out to Nathan again to check on light flickering and breaker overloading issues. I felt that I found my go to electrician after my superb experience last time. However, this turns out not to be the case... At first, Nathan promptly agreed to have his guys come over but never settled on a time. I followed up with him to see if we can settle on a date but he never got back to me. At this point I stopped trying to make contact after following up one more time through Yelp message and left a voicemail, ultimately Nathan remained unresponsive since our first exchange. I understand we are approaching holiday season and things can get quite busy. That is all fine with me as long as they communicate that in advance. A simple "sorry we are too busy to take this job at the moment" would have be suffice and greatly appreciated. Unfortunately Madison Electric was not able to replicate the good experience I had the first time. read more

Always super professional. They are my go-to for any electric work that needs doing. Very professional with their responses, and never let me down. read more

Nathan and his team are great. They're professional and skilled and best part of all reasonably priced!

The guy I spoke to on the phone seemed English? He was pleasant to talk to and was able to send his team out to my place on short notice. It ended up being a hidden carbon monoxide detector and it was resolved quickly and effectively. I would use him again in the future! read more

Used Madison Electric and team before and had another electrical issue - so decided to contact them. Was not able to reach anyone via phone / voicemail was never returned. I feel like they did a good job last time, so shot over a yelp request the next day. Nathan responded via yelp that he would call next day, but never did follow up. This was several weeks ago. Not a major issue, folks get busy and I was able to find another electrician to come up who also had no visit / service fee. But it did feel like they responded to via yelp to hit site response metrics without a real intent to follow up. read more

Overall impression was very professional and friendly. Set up the appointment with ease, and the electricians showed up on time and ready to rock. They took care of multiple issues very efficiently. I was impressed and very happy with the results. I found them through yelp, where they had a good reputation and I agree! I would highly recommend their services. read more

Madison Electric - Light installed - Electricians Near Me

I am now and forever more a huge fan of Nathan! I'm a real estate agent and I needed to have a Tesla charger installed in my clients' garage. Nathan became available for the exact day I needed it installed and brought a great crew with him. He found a shorter conduit run which saved my clients money. In addition, he knew the exact charger my client need to order in order to qualify for the rebate. Icing on the cake when he indicated he would handle the permitting, application, and meeting the inspector. This is a number I'm definitely going to hang onto. Service over and above, and a great guy at that. Thanks Nathan! read more

I had an urgent request to get a security system installed before heading out of town; called Nathan at about 8 in the morning and had a team at my house before noon. Quick and efficient work, at a far more reasonable price than of the other quotes I got. Had to make a slight adjustment to the setup and Nathan came out personally at the end of the day to make the change since his crews were busy and at the end of their days, didn't even charge me for his time. Will definitely use again in the future. read more

Great work by these guys. They arrived early and got straight to work. I even made a last minute change to the number of lights I wanted and they made sure to order more and come right back to install it. Great experience and highly recommended. read more

I don't know if they do a good job but I contacted them to install an EV charger. Nathan was very nice and came to give us a quote. He then was supposed to start the job that was supposed to be done in one day, the week after. He didn't show up a first time and after I contacted him, I thought there was a misunderstanding regarding the time. So we rescheduled and I took off work to be able to be present. Again no show and this time not only he didn't return my phone calls, he didn't even email me back to say he won't do the job. Very unreliable. Update to the previous review since Nathan responded by saying I canceled a first time. (I'm not Nick btw): I have email threads and text messages left unanswered on the day we were supposed to meet the second time. The first time was canceled by Nathan because he was supposed to get a City permit and he said he couldn't get it and that we have to reschedule. Oh well, good that we have Yelp to get referrals. read more

Staff was quick, professional, and reasonably priced. I would recommend them to anyone looking for electrical work.

FRIENDLY, FAST, EFFECTIVE, and FAIRLY PRICED. 11:46 a.m. -- Contacted them by phone. They were booked for the day, but when I explained what was happening, they told me they would track down a crew to assist. 12:19 p.m. -- Received a text telling me they would arrive within 30 to 90 minutes. 1:30 p.m. -- Two people arrived. 1:35 p.m. -- They located the problem (damage caused by a large shoot of jumbo bamboo crashing into the breaker box meter) and explained what needed to be done. 2:00 p.m. -- An unexpected issue with the breaker box that they quickly resolved after checking with me. 2:20 p.m. -- Electricity back on, outlets throughout the house tested, and they left. Couldn't ask for better service, especially considering my last minute request. read more

Extremely responsive and helpful. We had a complex commercial lighting project, and Madison was the best by far of the 10 providers we had quote. Not the absolute lowest cost, but very reasonable overall. read more

We are Completely satisfied! They helped us transform our kitchen into something beautiful by replacing and installing new light fixtures. We called them after our first electrician bailed out on the job. So happy with our lights now! read more

I called them for help with our listing that had a power shortage in half the house and the owner, with a cool accent, scheduled his guys right away and they showed up in less than an hr! He rescheduled other jobs so they could come help us ASAP! I love that! Thank you!!! Will definitely use them for our clients!!! read more

Needed a few things done: conduits installed in the garage to update the wiring (we bought the house and the previous owner made some interesting wiring choices) and to install a j-box and new wall switch in the living room. I called on a Monday. They offered to come literally the next morning at 7am to do the work. I wasn't available, but was able to schedule them for Wednesday (less than 48 hours from my call) at 7am. They arrived early and completed the work quickly. They were even able to install the new j-box and switch without making any holes in the drywall (except the one they needed for the switch). The price was very reasonable and they did all of this work in less than 4 hours. Highly reccomend. read more

Madison Electric - After! - Electricians Near Me

I have used Madison electric on at least three occasions and I would say NONE of them were easy or routine. The electricians that came out to help (Luis and Adan ) were not only very competent, but they were patient AND kind! They explained all the options for the difficult jobs, did everything possible to keep costs down, were totally efficient, so very positive and their work product was excellent! I'm so grateful for their expertise in diagnosing and solving problems and recommend Madison Electric 100%!! They have totally saved me !! Thank you Madison Electric!! read more

When you find a great company to work with a review becomes easy. Those of you that follow me know that I am not one that gives out a perfect score readily, in fact my history shows that I am actually quite stingy with a 5 star and reserve that score for businesses that truly exceed my expectations. Madison Electric did just that. Contacted them through the Yelp quote system and Nathan contacted me right away with a quote. Not the lowest, but absolutely what I felt was fair and with their rating, decided to go with them. As you can tell I was very happy with that decision. After a few messages back and forth about the job and aligning our schedules, the crew showed up exactly on time. This guys seemed to have just "melted" into my house as they saw the switch, recognized the problem, confirmed the issue and just went right to work. One went right into the attic, started talking to the others in the kitchen and just completed the job in no time. I have a ton of insulation in the attic so I figured I would need to vacuum when they were done. I saw them clipping and stripping wires like Edward Scissorhands, figured I would need to sweep and clean when they were done. NOPE! When they completed the job I went to take a look and here they were all cleaning up, without any kind of question or anything. One spoke to me about the new light and showed me how it worked, one continued cleaning up and the other was taking all the equipment back to the truck. Well oiled machine, these guys were great. Absolutely recommend Nathan and his crew. I hope I won't but if I need any more electrical work around my house or as a referral for friends, I know who to call. read more

Madison Electric exceeded my expectations: I called Nathan hoping to set up an appointment for the next week, since I know a lot of business are backed up-- I was lucky enough to get an appointment same day within a couple of hours of my call! The men who installed my small chandelier were friendly and quick, and when I went to check if they needed anything, they were already done and we moving my furniture back into place (which I didn't expect them to do because I moved the furniture myself before they got there). Great company, great service, and great price-- I may have to buy more chandeliers for the other rooms, since the installation was so painless. Thank you Nathan and Madison Electric! read more

You didn't fix problem and did charge us. Your minimum was insulting since we had another electrian fix what you didn't and couldn't do. Can't recommend you and want others to beware. read more

Friendly, efficient, good quality work! The whole team is so nice. We had a massive leak in the kitchen ceiling and Madison Electric was able to repair all the damage, and also help with installing and replacing 10+ recessed ceiling lights throughout the house, and installed 3 fans for us. Really nice to be able to depend on someone for quality work in an emergency situation. Highly recommend! read more

An outdoor outlet died during recent rainstorms in LA, putting my backyard fountain out of commission. I sent a Yelp service request to Madison Electric, who have done work for me before. Not only did Nathan come back with the best price of all the requests but two technicians were at my house within 15 minutes! Luis fixed the outlet and also adjusted a rattling ceiling fan in the kitchen that was driving me crazy (for free). Love these guys. Thanks, Madison. read more

Fast service, affordable, and friendly people. I would highly recommend, thank you!!!

Quick response, good service, very professional. They even did a small job for free because they were in the area. I will definitely use them again for my electrical needs. Highly recommend. read more

Had a few electrical items to address in our house, including adding circuits in our kitchen to be able to run multiple appliances at once and installing a 50 amp circuit for eventual induction oven. Madison brought 4 technicians to do the work, which required crawling in a narrow interior crawlspace and running lengthy wire (3 floors). They somehow figured out a way to do the work WITHOUT cutting holes in the walls. And they wore booties to keep our floors clean! They were very professional and hard working. Will definitely call on this team to come out for future electrical needs. read more

I needed my panel replaced in my condo and reached out to Madison Electric after reading the reviews. Nathan reached out to me after contacting him and set an appointment with me just a few days later. He came out, gave his recommendations and the price was reasonable. He and his crew ( Jose, Edwin and Kenny) came back a few days later and finished the job in just a few hours with no issues. Now all my outlets work and I don't have to worry about tripping circuit breakers anymore. As a single woman I always worry about being taken advantage of and over priced for work but Madison Electric was beyond fair a professional and I will definitely be using them from now on. So give them a call.... YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED read more

I can't praise Nathan and his crew enough. He installed a motion detector(which was done just the way I wanted it) and replaced our existing one as well. He/his crew performed a mini miracle. I have been unable to get anyone to properly fix our motion detector no matter how many times I tried. Well Nathan was able to accomplish this feat. I still can't believe it. And besides being delighted with his success --I have found a responsible and caring professional who stands behind his work. His crew had to return to my home 3 times to adjust and change the type of motion detector until he got it right. Now that is a real professional who can be trusted. Thank you Nathan and crew . You are my electrician forever! read more

I need to install EV charger for my EV, contact Madison Electric and get estimate right away with photo of where to install, which is right next to the main electric panel. Team shown up on time and get to work right away. They know exactly how and where the NEMA 14-50 plug should go and also the EV wall charger distance and location. All done in 2 hours. Great clean work at the end. Just need to order ur wall charger of choice and they can install for you. read more

Nathan and his team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We tore out all of our gas appliances and replaced them with electric, and hired Madison Electric to install 240v outlets for all of the new appliances. What really impressed me about Nathan was his level of flexibility. When I called for an estimate, he was able to squeeze me in same day for an onsite assessment and had the quote to me by the end of the day, which was lower than any other quote I received. I was on a tight timeline and needed someone ASAP so that I could get plumbers to start on the next phase of the project. Nathan was able to start 2 days later and had the work done in a day. Later that week when our new appliances arrived, we discovered that a few of the outlets were positioned in a way where we couldn't plug in the appliances (we knew that this might happen given that we didn't have our appliances yet when the outlets were installed). I called Nathan and he had his team back out to our place a few hours later and the issue was quickly resolved. I've worked with a lot of other contractors and none of them come close to matching the level of customer service I received from Madison Electric. We have some other home renovation projects coming down the pipe and we will definitely be using Madison Electric again! read more

Nathan is thee best. To install our garage EV charger, drilling through cement, and significant conduit was needed. No problem for the professional crew, it was well installed and tidily done. He also updated our breakers, fusebox, and all the lights (from halogen to LED). Again, the crew was clean and excellent. Nathan is incredibly knowledgable, low key, kind and helpful. Appliances and lights in our house had been acting out in scary ways so we were happy Madison Electric could upgrade our circuit breaker panel soon after giving us a reasonable bid. Now our house feels safe again. We will certainly use Madison Electric again if any electrical issues arise. read more
