After hitting up a few breweries with a friend along our two-man brewery crawl, we were needing some good food to recharge for the next set of beers. I had remembered hearing good things about Lindy's and it was within the vicinity of our next stop (Crooked Tooth) so we decided to give it a shot. I am totally glad we did! I ordered the Cali Burger which includes guacamole, sour cream and fries inside! It was like a California burrito and cheeseburger combined and all the ingredients really went well together. My friend ordered the Mac N Cheese Burger which looked equally as enticing. In addition to the food, I love how Lindy's is located in the middle of all the action near U of A campus. So I have to guess the breakdown was in the kitchen. We placed our order for two burgers and an order of loaded tots at 6:20. At 7:04 our loaded tots arrived. Btw, don't call it bacon when it's baco-bits. Ugh. Ten minutes later our burgers finally showed up. This was a Monday night. Not terribly busy. The burger was okay. Not great. Check out the tomato I got-the stem end of it with a circle cut out. On a $10 burger? Come on! You can get this kind of burger anywhere. Anywhere. Go to Zinburger instead-night and day difference. We had a student with us who was from Europe and looking for a truly American experience. Let me just say, our sweet guest DEVOURED her meal... she was impressed. They occupy the old Bumstead's spot, have redone the walls with super fun burger paintings and murals. The vibe is very laid back, the servers have it down, and it's a must for anyone looking to have a great meal. Now to be clear, we couldn't eat more than half of our burgers, but when you are in from out of the country, you just don't let that kind of fantasticness go to waste. I decided to come here yesterday afternoon around five during happy hour for my birthday. I've traveled the world and country and had burgers on my birthday (my little tradition), and this restaurant was one of my favorites. From the jump, the server/host that sat us complimented my dress, and I instantly felt comfortable. It was a kind gesture that set the mood for our visit, and I truly appreciated it. My husband and I ordered the birria fries to start. They were generously sized, and we took the majority home because our eyes were larger than our stomachs. I ordered an 805 Michi and the Kush burger, and my husband ordered the Heckle + Jeckle burger and Lindy's Ice Water. Everything was absolutely banging. My burger was cooked perfectly, not sloppy at all (a pet peeve of mine is when a burger falls apart as you eat it), and not greasy. Our server was a sweetheart, making the experience that much better. Regarding the bill, you get what you pay for. The burger and birria uses quality beef, and I'm the type that would happily pay $15-20 for a burger with better ingredients. Our bill came to $63, and it was worth every penny. The music was great, I felt comfortable, was never rushed, and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Easily the best we've ever eaten. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The prices for the portions' sizes were better than reasonable. I do wish the ambiance were better. Not a place I'd want to bring a date or a place you'll have a quiet conversation. Voices echo here and when beer or wine is added, it would be unpleasant. Hostess looked like a deer in headlights. 15 min wait for drinks...this place was NOT even busy. My beer was lukewarm from draft. That tells me it sat for a bit. Bloody Mary was not good. 1 HOUR for two burgers, medium. The excuse was "there is a burger challenge in front of you so it may be a bit." Not ok. Maybe 15 other tables and most were already served. Another review that's years late. So many old favorites that just get missed on my reviews. Had a Big Bang burger which has Lil' Smokies, potato chips, jalapeno mac salad and basically a whole picnic on top of a tasty burger. Sounded kind of silly at first but it really worked. Did my research and found this was one of the places to try when in Tucson. I was not disappointed, just get there once the parking meters don't require you to feed them. Soo many burgers to try, so little time. I decided you only live once so I had the 2 Finger Peekaboo with some Onion Rings. A juicy burger with all of the fixins between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches as buns. Don't be scared, just unhinge your jaw and go to work. A delightful mess of a burger. We were walking distance from Lindy's on 4th & I had them bookmarked for a while so we decided to stop by to grab a bite to eat. The restaurant is really small with only a few tables but our group of 4 was able to snag one. Our waitress brought us menus & took our drink orders, then food orders shortly after. My fiancé and I both got the Shroomin Cow burger - his was a regular one with a side of loaded tater tots and mine was a chicken one with a side of onion rings. Our friends got the Donkey Punch - one regular burger with a side of fries & one veggie burger with a side of fries. The burgers were massive and filling. Although the Donkey Punch was listed as being extremely spicy, neither of them made a comment about it being too spicy (since they enjoy spicy food). We all enjoyed everything we got. My only gripe was that the chicken option was only available as fried (per the menu) .. not sure if can be ordered grilled instead, but I will definitely be asking next time. It also was a bit disappointing that the chicken & veggie burger options were $2 extra, however it was noted on the menu. Otherwise, overall, all the burger options seemed unique & sounded tasty. Driving through Az on my way to LA, and decided to get off the toad for a bit and eat somewhere local. I'm so glad I did!!!! This place was great. Lots of weird (but good!) burgers on the menu. I had the Chedarella and am afraid I'm now ruined for ever because will I ever have a cheese burger this good again? Plenty of outside seating, great music, and playful art on the walls. Good place for a burger and a beer. I'm glad a local place got some fame from food TV shows and food challenges. I ordered the Dirty Sanchez burger cooked medium and fries. My beverage was A Slice of Hefen from La Cumbre which is an amazing brewery out of Albuquerque. I'm glad to see a nice bar selection. My burger was over cooked for medium and a little dry. The bun was robust enough to hold the contents of the burger. I forgot to ask, but I wasn't a fan of the pickled jalapenos. The flavor of the burger wasn't greater than the sum of it's parts which was unfortunate. The burger had pepper jack cheese, green chile, jalapenos, and guacamole. The pickled jalapenos was all that stood out. The fries had a lot of potential, but they arrived room temperature. Cool place with a good bar. Good burgers, but not my first pick. read more

Found this spot in Tucson and decided to check it out. Definitely an interesting burger joint, because if you don't order a single, you're going to do some burger surgery. Which I guess in my opinion, I don't mind. Walking in, this place isn't big, a few tables around the front and then the cash register. The place was cozy, and honestly reminded me of a place in Charlotte. Outside, it was like an art district with different bars and antique shops (well what I felt as if they were). Enough talk about ambiance, let's get to the food. I ordered the Rusty Trombone, but I got the double patty version (see picture). What followed was a series of surgical moves to cut into the burger to be able to eat it. Sure, I could've went in on it and would have to had to change my clothes after, like a beast, but sadly I didn't have a separate set of clothes to be able to change into. So, folding to defeat as far as beasting this mammoth of a burger, I used the knife and fork they provided. Thinking about it now, if that burger was a double, I'm very curious to see a triple. Or maybe even seeing their burger challenge that Adam from Man v. Food finished (O.M.G. Burger). Maybe I could finish that burger on a very hungry day, but for this night, it wasn't happening. What did I think about the burger? Tasty. Juicy. Everything I strive to look for in a burger. I thought it was well put together, even though I had to tear it down. This was a first burger that I had to really cut into to be able to eat it. It worked. If you're looking for a place to eat a burger, Lindy's on 4th is definitely a spot in Tucson. Nothing basic about this place. They have a creative variety of burgers with many bun choices (including a grilled cheese bun). I like the local influence by having Birria burger and Birria fries complete with broth. I ate the Cali Burger and there was so much I had to bring half home to the kids. Great and friendly staff. Dine-In now open.....thought I would give this place a try. First time here and first impression was fine. Trying to eat more veggies so I ordered the OG but with a black bean burger. The black bean patty was soft; to the point it flattened out considerably and broke apart while holding. Not sure if this is supposed to happen with a black bean burger, but I have eaten a black bean burger and don't recall that happening. The taste was good especially with their sauce. Fries were good, never really had bad friesJ. The waiter wore a mask and we were provided, To-Go napkins so we could clean our hands. The tables are spaced out so I did not feel uncomfortable in being too close to the other diners. Parking is to this restaurant is located on the north side of Sixth street. I went here after seeing man vs. food and was considering the OMFG or the 1/2 omfg, but decided I could not eat 12 or 6 patties that day. Ended up going with the Mac & Cheese Cheeseburgerwhich includes Creamy Mac & Cheese, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion & Lindy's sauce and some tater tots. Outstanding!! Been waiting for something unique on the Far East side of Tucson. This second location unlike the the first which is near the U of A: this one is on Catalina Highway and Tanque Verde. Known for their outlandish hamburgers and the man vs food show. Having the Dirty Sanchez hamburger with lots of heat. Jalapeños, pepper jack, and ghost peppers. Staff was courteous and helpful.
