Ordered breakfast and took lunch to go bc I was excited they had pozole which wound be dinner. The next day I wanted to die. When I called I was hung up on after telling her I had food poisoning-- cool. Called back, pick up and hang up. Called from a different number-- was told the Broadway store had a manager and I'd have to go there. Called -- not the case, left a message for them and never heard back. I know how beloved this place is here but zero tolerance for food poisoning when there is a million Mexican places as well as better customer service. tried to do things the right way-- how I would want someone to approach me. But no response and extra time for a prompted review.

Normally we don't visit establishments with under 4 stars but the pictures seemed to speak for themselves! I could not be happier that we gave this little local place a chance. We arrived right at 10:00 am, after the breakfast crowd but it was still pretty busy. Immediately upon walking in the door, we were greeted with a smile and directed to a little corner table. Our server came right over and got our drink order. When she returned with the drinks we placed our order and I went to wash my hands. When I came back, the order was already on the table!! I had the two egg breakfast with extra crispy bacon and they were both cooked to perfection! I also opted to upgrade the two pancakes to strawberry pancakes. I should have gotten a picture! Covered in strawberries and cream, the obviously from scratch pancakes were to die for!! But let me back up and talk about the eggs. Most restaurants these days use med eggs...on a good day. These eggs were SO big! Hubby ordered his over easy. They had to be jumbo eggs! They were so incredibly yummy! Oh but let's not forget the tea! We often drink unsweet tea when we are out and it's rather astonishing how few places actually have really great tea. This place however, just amazing!! We opted to have a cup to go also! But just as important as the food, or maybe more so, is the service. Hands down the best service we have experienced in a very long time!! If you're on the fence about this place, I urge you to give it a try. I promise you'll be happy that you did!! Oh and don't forget to pick up a cross on your way out!

My appetizer was missing some stuff that I saw another waitress carry out (the same appetizer) fully loaded. Esquites is messy without a spoon, my friends. Everything felt messy and the napkins were not easy to ask for when everyone is running by. The prices on the menu do not match what is charged. I'm not sure why but our meal was a lot less expensive than anticipated, not a bad thing, but I wish the prices were clear because I would have ordered something different. Speaking of the menu, dang. That thing is a beast! It took me so long just to get through it and decide what I wanted. If you can find an online version study up! The food was quick and fresh. I have no complaints there! The soft-serve margarita was everything I hoped it would be. Lastly, the restroom ruined my whole night. It is a cesspool and thinking of the staff also washing and using the facilities makes me cringe. I can only speak for the ladies room when I say the temperature was a good 20 degrees warmer than the rest of the building. There was NO circulation, so guess what? All the stank stays in the stall. I'm sorry I don't know how else to explain what I experienced but I had to go home and shower.

It reminded me of back home (South Texas). The whole staff were very friendly and nice. They were very patient as it was our first time. We got some mexican sodas, two pounds of barbacoa, two cups of menudo, warm corn tortillas, flour tortillas, and some salsa verde. Everything was so delicious. The green salsa isn't too spicy it's just the right amount of heat to where you can still enjoy it. The tortillas were so good too. The barbacoa was definitely some of the best I've had. I will say if you're not a big fan of messes maybe pay the extra fee so they can cut the barbacoa for you. Overall we enjoyed the food and the prices weren't too bad for the portions. I will add to show up early as they do get busy and sell out quick. Next time we go we will definitely try their tamales.

Today family decided on Mexican food and we came across Margaritas. Light bulb went off. I remember the place being really good. We decided to place a to-go order and let me tell you that was the best decision we have made in a while. The appetizer sampler One shredded chicken quesadilla, an order of ground beef nachos, two flautas with pico de gallo and guacamole. The child ordered this as her main meal because she loves variety and it had everything she absolutely loves. She said the quesadilla was her favorite and could not stop talking about it. Cheese enchilada dinner You have a choice of topping it with chili con carne or queso. It is served with rice and beans. I had it topped with the chili con carne and it was delicious. I absolutely love cheese enchiladas and I'm very picky about them. So when I enjoy them the restaurant is doing something right. You get two cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. The rice and beans were delicious. Both tasted homemade and both were wonderful. I was kind of sad when I didn't have any more left on my plate. Crispy Taco dinner plate Two hard shell tacos filled with ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese served with a side of rice and beans. These hard shell tacos were perfect. They did not fall apart when you took a bite out of them. The ground beef was very flavorful and the lettuce, tomato and cheese offered a nice refreshing touch. We also ordered a side of chips and red salsa and I would definitely recommend you get an order to go with your meals. Their salsa is delicious, not spicy, just a nice sweet fresh taste to it. The chips are thin and oh so crispy and dipped into the salsa they hold up very good. Price wise they're perfect. Most meals will run you between $10 and $15. And believe me you give plenty of food for your money. And if you have a really super picky person in your group, they also serve American dishes. They have chicken tenders, hamburger, chicken sandwich or the famous chicken fried steak You can find all over Texas. All of these meals are served with french fries. Oh, and I definitely recommend you get yourself a bowl of drunken soup. Share it between two people or just have it as your meal for one person. It's a combination of charro beans, taco meat, onions, tomatoes, cheese and jalapenos. It is so good and I highly recommend it.
