Great Saturday night dinner at Aztec! The vibe is wonderful and the decor is beautiful. Our server was very attentive to our large family and handled our requests with a smile. I loved that the menu wasn't too huge; it made choosing easy, and the food was flavorful.Don't miss out on their drink specials!

We had a long day at work and looking for a place open late. Most places closed at 8 but we found Aztec since they stayed open till midnight. The inside was pleasantly decorated with bold colors and modern furniture. The staff were efficient and welcoming. We enjoyed the food. I got the Aztec plate and my partner got a taco meal. They were both incredibly well seasoned. It was a pretty large serving so we had a lot to take home. Overall enjoyed it and will be coming back in the future.

Hey East Texas!!! RUN, don't walk to Aztec Urban MX for some of the most unique & flavorful modern Mexican quisen! Atmospher-impecable Food: Outstanding Owner: Ricardo, the kindest human Staff: Nicole is a great waitress; knowledgeable You could dine here weekly for months & never repeat a dish! Full service bar with very unique drinks & strong Rita's! But if you overindulge, Ricardo is happy to pay for an Uber for you. Also it's opened late! Do yourself a favor & go for your birthday for an experience like nothing you've ever experienced!

I'm not even finished with my appetizer and we are at 5 stars. The food is amazing on all levels and the service is top tier! Aztec has the big city ambiance and man..my first time visiting, I am thoroughly impressed! The Aztec Fire is the drink that I have been craving!!

We were 2nd in line as there was a note on the door "open at 5" due to a Staff shortage. Arrived at 4:40 to stand in the lobby until 5:15 then seated. Food arrived after 6:15! Husband had fajitas and said they are some of the best he's ever eaten. I had the chicken quesadillas. They were messy and greasy. I couldn't pick it up to eat it as everything fell out of it...so I had to cut it with a knife. HUGE MENU. Loud atmosphere. Slow inattentive server which was never around to ask them for refills of our tea. We decided to ask for the check early because everything was a chore to get. Will not be returning.

My friend and my girlfriend both ordered their espresso martini that my friend claimed was the best espresso martini in town, while I got the bartender's recommendation of the Animal Style, a pineapple and jalapeño infused tequila with strawberries, cardamom bitters, and a lemon peel garnish. Normally, I hate any drink that is spicy. I cannot stand a Bloody Mary because I don't believe drinks should be allowed to be spicy, but this one, for having jalapeño, is not spicy at all. If anything, it's slightly savory with its tropical flavor. The bartender was great. They have appetizers and tapas as well and as my girlfriend sat down, she really wanted just one of their fresh oysters. I ordered her just one to try and it was $4.25. They gave us the smallest one they could find. The tiniest oyster of all time. I guess size really didn't matter because according to her it was very good. I would go back and have a few more cocktails, but it is a nice place to hang out on the square on a Friday night. A good time to be had by all. RIYL: The finest, most $15ish cocktail you can find.

The food (oysters again) simply fresh, almost as if I were in some beachside cafe. All the oysters here are from cold water places Nova Scotia for one. A small delicacy to reward myself after a long week. Dark , cool, and welcoming, my type of place. Great company and friendly folks too. This is where we get ready to cha cha, swing, rhumba, and tango. Ran into my fellow veteran friend Al whom I met my first time here. Wonderful food, friends, and company. You'll love it too. Go !

There's plenty of nice local establishments, but some can be pricey and some are just more casual than you want. Scott Williams has perfected the restaurants of Tyler that are balanced between affordable and still quite nice. He got his toes in the water with FDs, before expanding into Javi's, Twelve, and now the fanciest of them all in III Palms. I thought of all those options, Twelve would be the most unique and tasty for my girlfriend and I. We went in an hour before they closed on a Sunday and were seated immediately. We weren't too hungry so we didn't expect to be there past their closing time, and we were ready to go. Our waiter was quick and attentive, bringing us water and helping us decide on drinks from the bar and our order. He also showed us their insane over-the-top whiskey menu. If you like whiskey, give Twelve a shot I guess. To order, I just got their 'Osaka Style' Pressed Roll while my girlfriend got a Sushi Bowl Salad. We got Sweet Potato Fries to share. As for drinks, I started with their Monkey See, Monkey Do, an impressive and firm beverage, while my girlfriend ordered their Destin Dream, a fun Pina Colada-like drink. It wasn't long before our food came out. The sushi was beautifully plated with some wasabi and pickled ginger on the side. I destroyed all the rolls. They were all very fresh and very high quality, which was remarkable for their $13.50 price tag. My girlfriend's sushi bowl looked insane. She ate most of it, but I filled the gaps and devoured the rest of it. The sweet potato fries were crispy and heavenly like all sweet potato fries usually are. I felt adventurous and I got a second drink of their Rose Garden, which was simple but flavorful. Compared to FDs, the menu might be a little more sea-inspired and more adventurous, but I think it leads to better, more unique food, especially with offerings like Oyster Rockefeller and a sushi bar. I also know Twelve does a great brunch as well, so keep that on your radar. Ultimately, as the bill came, the price was very manageable even with the alcohol. It's nice that you don't fully have to break the bank to have a nice meal in Tyler thanks to places like Twelve. I rate it a 12/10. Get it? hahahaha... RIYL: A slightly adventurous, but affordable night out.
