    Children's playground

It's a nice park which has playgrounds and swings for all ages. Large track and field area. Great park for cooking out but it is only allowed on the outskirts of the park. It does have working public restrooms.

'An urban oasis' first comes to mind when I think about our first visit to Prospect Park. The…read moreoverall experience was certainly positive, with some fine points. As a visitor to the city, finding parking on a weekday afternoon was near impossible, until it became possible after what felt like 25 minutes of searching for a spot. The park is truly sprawling and there are many places to explore, including pavilions, bridges, falls, a pond, a creek, and endless paved trails. We also couldn't help but notice that the park overall may not have been maintained consistently, based on the extensive weeds in fountains, for instance. We saw at least two cafes that had pastries, sandwiches, and beverages on their menu that looked good enough to make us think we'd definitely go there if we lived locally. All in all, I'm grateful for this space being available for locals and visitors to enjoy, and hope it is maintained and stays open for many more years.

One of my favorite things about Brooklyn is Prospect Park. Even though it's large, as you can…read moreimagine it gets busy on the weekends. Lots of families, etc. Still, it can be an enjoyable time. I do prefer weekday visits myself. The walking/bike paths are a great way to see the park in its entirety. Plenty of green space for a picnic, playing frisbee, etc. Playground and splash pads as well. Of course, I can't forget the lake with all of the ducks splashing about. It's really a wonderful way to spend a day in Brooklyn, getting away from it all.

This Domino Park is beautifully renovated into a modern park. Not really a children's park in my…read moreopinion. Looked more like a museum or some nice walkway to enjoy sightseeing of the Williamsburg bridge and the lower east side views of Manhattan, which is not that spectacular in my opinion because there are too many government buildings in that section so it's all brown over on the Manhattan side. Oh wells. Other than that, I'm shocked to see nice bathrooms a block away from the park for Domino Park guests! The bathrooms were really nice and modern! Each bathroom had dimmed lighting with a baby diaper changing station. One of the bathrooms was dirty with pee on the floor so I had to go to another one. Did not expect these nice bathrooms to get dirty like that! There were more bathrooms downstairs besides the ones on the first floor. The door to the bathrooms was very nice too! What a great job they did to this park. I cannot believe the Domino sugar factory still exists or is standing because I used to take the train and they be doing construction for many years for I don't know what reason. Looked like they turn downstairs into this nice modern park. So I went to the park to go to a Target pop up and got some nice freebies. There was enough space for pop ups and large crowds. Need to check out the rest of the park next time I'm here. Too bad there is no subway or trains going to this park and you need to resort to buses that take forever to arrive.
