Such a beautiful park for a mid day stroll! I love coming here to take a break from my WFH day. From my house i do a healthy 2 miles and clear my mind for the day . There's usually park workers walking around too, so I always feel safe.

One day when they finish all the construction, it'll be a fantastic park. For now, the lower area is useable but frustrating as maneuvering around can be difficult if you're running the lower loop (near the playground area) or attempting to get to the tennis courts. The grass is kept decently and the benches are sorta well looked after. There are definitely plenty of men sitting who are stoked to yell at you as you run so...that's a blast. But other than that, it's accessible, holds the important things like a playground and sidewalks/running space. Get rid of the construction fences and the bulldozing and we'll be set and ready to go.

Attended a calisthenics event here and it was my first time visiting the park with my boyfriend on October 20th. I must add this park is great for calisthenics, something that I am new to but wanting to improve in. We were at the lower level but my boyfriend mentioned that there is a reservoir, bike path, and area for runners, etc on the upper level. It was my game plan to explore the park but after arriving, I was completely locked in on the bar events. The park was clean, and the equipment used for calisthenics were in well maintained order.

This is the jogging and bike path at the reservoir on a summer day.

I live right by this park. I remember when i was a child, this park used to be a bit dangerous due to gangs and drugs. I moved to this location a few years ago and all i can say is wow what a change. It is clean and safe. In the summer you can enjoy countless softball league games on both highland and what others consider lowland parks. Lowland is the park located on Jamaica ave and highland is up the hill. There are countless areas for BBQ and it has plenty BBQ grills located around the park. The parking lot is big for many but gets easily over packed during the summer. The only issue is the large amount of park goers during the summer. A lot of family reunions are held there and the parking isn't sufficient. Most of the time i have to wait some time in order to park so that i can go home. I live on highland blvd so i see how bad the parking is during the summer. Lowland as we call it has handball courts, has tennis courts and a large playground for children which also includes sprinklers. There is vast wildlife here to see, bird lovers will enjoy this park as well as nature lovers. There are several walkways that take you around the park, some are asphalt and others are dirt. There are a few hidden spots that most people will never see unless they walk around, like the stone bridge located close to the basketball courts, or the Boccie Ball location, or the small little cove hidden close to the parkway parallel to the Jackie Robinson Pkwy. People seem to think that this is two different parks, lowland and highland but they are not, infact its one large park that is divided by 1 street. One of my favorite things of this park is the reopening or the Ridgewood reservoir located across the street from the parking lot. Its beautiful. It has bike and jogging path which extend to 1.8 miles i think full circle. You can get a glimpse of the gorgeous reservoir by the middle path that allows you to sit in the middle of the reservoir and enjoy nature. I come here to meditate and i roller blade on the path. This place is as safe as can get. And rumor is that they will install a mini police station there as well to provide help and immediate aid to anyone in need. This is one of the gems of Brooklyn that gets constantly overlooked because of prospect park. Give it a try. And while some say it isn't safe, I beg to differ and I also want to say that to tell someone that he/she should not come here unless they live here is atrocious and condemning of the people who actually live here. The people who live here work hard extremely hard and are honest people, and to say that you shouldn't come here unless you live here is extremely misleading. And although I agree about people urinating in public spots, this is not a new phenomenon, this occurs everywhere, in every city and every park, and sadly those who do that are people who DO NOT LIVE here. And one more thing, please dont place stereo types of people simply because of their attire, how does this make them "thugs"? I hate to tell you that sadly, this serves to create a disliking atmosphere by using that term and is unnecessary.

Very nice bike path all the way around! Has a reservoir in the middle you can walk to. Small but nice place to get out of the city and get some fresh air. There's also a playground, picnic/ BBQ area, and some cool flower windsock art near the sports fields.

This Park is by no means my favorite Park, but it is the closes good size Park to me. It as a nice place at the surrounding the Ridgewood Reservoir, when I can go and enjoy nature, if it was not for the sound of cars that I hear for most of the time I spend jogging or walking around the Reservoir. I do wise this park of the park was bigger. Maybe convert some of the baseball fields into more nature Park land. This park of the park by it self I would give it a 4. It is one of the few park in the area that have a trail to jog at. There is also a bike lane there. If I was into playing basket ball or tennis, or even soccer then I might have rated this Park a 5. This Park does have a lot of Baseball field, and place for kids to play at..

This is a decent park where my school is having their annual field day today. There is a basketball court, a playground, a huge area with water spouts shooting water everyone so they can play in the water, & a huge area for them to play games. It's a lovely, breezy day today & the park accommodated us by putting on the water for the kids to play around in. When they saw all of us coming, four workers in the park turned on the water & made sure it was all working; very nice of them. I am impressed with the care & concern of the workers for middle school children from the nearby community. I'm pleasantly surprised & look forward to next year's field day!!

The path along the reservoir is the only reason to come here and its under construction now and closed off

Had my photo shoot there after becoming Miss Teen Earth New York.

A well laid out, spacious park. It's enjoyable to see all the human and animal goings on when the weather is nice out.

This park is great. It's spacious, lots of green and relatively quiet. On a summer weekend however, you'll find slot of families

Great park to come to during the summer. Always a lot of events going on throughout the summer. They even have a garden.

Central Park may be in a more convenient location for tourists, but Prospect Park is a divine place to explore, with plenty of twists and turns, and what the heck is that? Lots to look at! The other thing I liked was that we found free on-street parking right across the street on Ocean Avenue. Amazingly we also found parking right by Central Park as well. (This trip was a superb driving one) Even hanging out in the van, having a cold one at the parking spot was a fun experience. There's even a cafe in the middle of the park that is super nice! Worth seeking out when visiting Brooklyn.

Lots of families, etc. Still, it can be an enjoyable time. I do prefer weekday visits myself. The walking/bike paths are a great way to see the park in its entirety. Plenty of green space for a picnic, playing frisbee, etc. Playground and splash pads as well. Of course, I can't forget the lake with all of the ducks splashing about. It's really a wonderful way to spend a day in Brooklyn, getting away from it all.

Looked more like a museum or some nice walkway to enjoy sightseeing of the Williamsburg bridge and the lower east side views of Manhattan, which is not that spectacular in my opinion because there are too many government buildings in that section so it's all brown over on the Manhattan side. Oh wells. Other than that, I'm shocked to see nice bathrooms a block away from the park for Domino Park guests! The bathrooms were really nice and modern! Each bathroom had dimmed lighting with a baby diaper changing station. One of the bathrooms was dirty with pee on the floor so I had to go to another one. Did not expect these nice bathrooms to get dirty like that! There were more bathrooms downstairs besides the ones on the first floor. The door to the bathrooms was very nice too! What a great job they did to this park. I cannot believe the Domino sugar factory still exists or is standing because I used to take the train and they be doing construction for many years for I don't know what reason. Looked like they turn downstairs into this nice modern park. So I went to the park to go to a Target pop up and got some nice freebies. There was enough space for pop ups and large crowds. Need to check out the rest of the park next time I'm here. Too bad there is no subway or trains going to this park and you need to resort to buses that take forever to arrive.
