Not to be confused with Ariana Grande, who is Ferry Ferry gorgeous. This is the park in Williamsburg Brooklyn, right next to the water. It's utterly gorgeous and it's also located next to Industry and old stuff and it's beautiful. They have rejuvenated the area like crazy, and it is the very definition of gentrification you could say. It's next to the Domino Sugar Factory, and the skyline is dominated by that, and you can also look across to the beautiful Lower Manhattan vista. And of course like others said, get splashed by the toxic (not in a hipster way) East River whenever a boat goes by. I love it and it's one of the best to use but there are so many good ones. read more

Small waterfront park that offers some decent Manhattan skyline views, with some benches and big rocks to sit on. Right next to some sort of factory. It's actually not all that nice so I don't get the 4 and 5 star reviews but to each their own. This area was once a ferry landing that served the citizens of Williamsburg before it became part of Brooklyn. it was called the 19th century Grand Street Ferry. It transported goods and passengers across the East River to Manhattan. There is a relic of an old smokestack from a long gone molasses plant that used to be here anchoring the park. read more

My first time here was after viewing the Kara Walker show @ the Domino Sugar Factory right next door. I needed a spot to eat my overpriced cherry icee (2 bucks?!?), get some sun, and contemplate what I had just seen. It's a tiny, threadbare park, but it is right on the water. You can sit on the water's edge on a good sized rock and get splashed by East River effluent every time the SeaStreak powers by, if you so choose. Otherwise there's an ideally situated bench on which to gaze out on the water with the slowly setting sun. Given there was such a large event right next door, my experience is far from the norm. The park is just too small to accommodate the amount of people that were there that day. So I won't complain about the crowding. It got me wondering though... Is there any public riverside access planned for the coming development in the area? I really hope so. Because it would border on a sin to not have a waterside path and benches available to the plebs while the oligarchs sun themselves on exclusive rooftop patios. At least have someplace for the nannies to kill time. Think of the nannies! read more

Grand Ferry Park was the perfect time out location during my Eat and Drink Weekend in NY. The huge boulders lining the shore is great place to hang out while admiring the awesome view of New York City. There's also historical aspect to the park that others might find it more interesting. Maybe you just want to admire the local plants, shrubs and flowers that are planted in the park. Or you just like me, just want to get a little sun and rest a little so I could go and have some more beers again! read more

I ran into this park by accident after deciding to stroll by the waterfront. We walked towards the water not knowing what to expect and were pleasantly surprised when we walked right into this gem. The park is situated at a lovely location where you can see all three bridges that go from Brooklyn to Manhattan making it a sweet photo taking spot. Furthermore there is ample sitting on benches, the grass and some tables and chairs as there is a taco place right in the park. There is also a volley ball court and wonderful water sprinklers for the young at heart. The one downside to the park is the lack of mature trees since this is a relatively new park. In addition, there is quite a bit of construction occurring in the area. I still highly recommend a visit all the same. read more

One of the best places to catch a gorgeous sunset in Williamsburg. I highly recommend grabbing dinner in the neighborhood somewhere, then getting a cone of gelato from Gentile on Wythe or a scoop from Van Leeuwen, then strolling down to enjoy a warm evening and enjoy the incredible views of the bridge, water, and Manhattan skyline with other locals, including kids and dogs. The place may get a bit sketchier in later hours, but at dusk it's a family friendly locale! read more

The *real* Brooklyn Riviera! Over the years, I've had a lot of experiences at Grand Ferry Park. They include: -watching the aftermath of 9/11 (minutes after the second tower fell, this is where we gathered). Ok, so that's the only time I've been there before midnight. Most of the action takes place from then until sunrise, like: -crawling under a yet another fence (see my review of the other riverfront park in Wburg), climbing over sketchy planks to get to a deserted lookout point (construction crane?), then climbing to the top of this and getting the best view of the skyline you can imagine -running from security after climbing up the fire escape to a giant warehouse? fort? I don't know where I was. -bringing many friends, many visiting bands here for less dangerous times (it's nice to sit on the rocks at the shore line) -laughing at a "coven" of girls sitting around with candles in a circle and doing some chant Other stuff: the tall grasses make for handy bathrooms... as do behind the boulders...you may chance upon some illicit activity involving extremely religious gentlemen and other non-religious ladies and/or gentlemen... illegal substances are a given... hide your open containers Truly, this park has it all going on. read more

The view here is awesome and priceless, you can see Manhattan and all the bridges while sitting here and catch the waves and even a breeze coming your way while sitting in the rocks next to the water and an old abandon factory next to you. This park host some events like the protest against cars in NYC witch was very interesting. This place is priceless and a place to visit while in NY. read more

Somewhat hidden gem of South Williamsburg. It is a block and a half past Kent on Grand. Set back with the old Dominoes plant on the left and some random industrial property on the right. Amazing views of Downtown Manhattan and the Williamsburg bridge. I stop here frequently on beautiful days to read a book or just to stare at the city for a while. My most recent trip was during the '16 blizzard and it was stark and beautiful. It is usually pretty quiet and never gets packed. It is small but there are plenty of benches and tables. I would suggest coming here before it gets destroyed and forever changed by ongoing development. read more

This is a not so hidden gem, but surprisingly not an overcrowded bustling park either, and I think everyone that goes there appreciates that! It's one of my go to's for out of towners. This is by no means a large park to bring the dog and kids and picnic and throw a frisbee. Its very small. But I love it. It seems like one of those little spots not too many know about. Its directly on the water- after being in the area I got to sit on the rocks in the E River and watch the sunset while listening to Rodrigo y Gabriela on my ipod... so unbelievably relaxing I ended up staying there for 2 hours. Theres a little grassy area if u want to lay down, as well as some benches by the water and some more under a few trees for shade. The view of the city and bridge is really beautiful, and its pretty quiet. The other visitors seemed to go for the same reason- to relax and get away for a bit, rather than to talk obnoxiously on their phones like in other parks. All in all- I'm a big fan, will definitely be returning. read more

Awesome park with some of the best views of Manhattan. The pier is great for photos with nothing in the way and has great views of some of the bridges too. The shoreline smells really weird from the river, but goes away once on the pier. read more

Stumbled across this little spit of green space after a walk across the Williamsburg bridge. Coffee in hand, it was a delightful little stop to view the Manhattan skyline and sip on my drink before making the trek back over. There were a couple dozen people at any given point coming and going, but a great place to catch your breath if your out exploring Williamsburg. read more

This park is quiet and intimate so if you're looking to avoid the crowds this is for you. I love a good view of a bridge and you get to see three from the park. A little splash from the waves and the breeze off the water makes it a peaceful place to relax for a few. If you need a break and you're in the area check it out! read more

Grand Ferry Park is a tiny and kind of crappy park a short walk south of the East River Park in Williamsburg. It's not much bigger than a brownstone backyard. It's got a little path, a bunch of trees, a few benches, and a picnic table. Despite it's size and location, this little park is sort of charming in it's own special way. It's the park version of the little engine than could. While the East River Park has all the space, the fancy layout, and the special events, Grand Ferry has a quietness and seclusion to it that makes it more intimate. Another big selling point is that when East River Park closes as dusk, you can go on down to Grand Ferry, sit on a bench by the water, and get a nearly magical view of the sparkling Manhattan skyline. read more

It's that other little park that sits on the Eastern side of the East River in lovely willy B. Can't see as how it might get five stars as it was kinda smelly when I went there thanks to the big huge factory right next to it. It is kinda private and secluded, I'll give it that. The benches are a bit run down though, and overall I'd say it's just average. read more

My first five star rating on Yelp!...and let me tell you for me to give five stars is a huge deal! My absolute favorite view from Brooklyn! My dad showed me this spot a couple of years ago...I actually laughed when my dad said it was a park because it's so small! Not much walking to do in this park. And it was the perfect last photo of NYC, Stayed at friends place in Williamsburg, and decided to go for a walk just before the flight to relax a little. You know what? I'd rather go here than the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, Brooklyn Bridge Park, or Gantry Plaza State Park. While it officially closes at dusk, in reality you'll find Hasidim, Latinos, and transplants all gazing at the lights together where the ferry to Manhattan once launched from. What a view! This is a phenomenal park to take the kids to! I like it because there is plenty of space for community events, like the local public school's annual kite festival. This area used to be so abandoned...not anymore! It is alive on a Saturday with families. read more
