Oh wells. Other than that, I'm shocked to see nice bathrooms a block away from the park for Domino Park guests! The bathrooms were really nice and modern! Each bathroom had dimmed lighting with a baby diaper changing station. One of the bathrooms was dirty with pee on the floor so I had to go to another one. Did not expect these nice bathrooms to get dirty like that! There were more bathrooms downstairs besides the ones on the first floor. The door to the bathrooms was very nice too! What a great job they did to this park. I cannot believe the Domino sugar factory still exists or is standing because I used to take the train and they be doing construction for many years for I don't know what reason. Looked like they turn downstairs into this nice modern park. So I went to the park to go to a Target pop up and got some nice freebies. There was enough space for pop ups and large crowds. Need to check out the rest of the park next time I'm here. Too bad there is no subway or trains going to this park and you need to resort to buses that take forever to arrive.

This is a chill location, with just a few people and with one of the best views of the Manhattan skyline. Either way, I don't mind because the dogs that come here are usually really sweet and they play well. I haven't had an issue with any of them being overly aggressive. There is a smaller sized dog run and a larger sized dog run: both are open to dogs of all sizes. The larger size dog run has more benches and seating. For some reason, people leave extra balls, toys laying around for neighbours and there are always water bowls. Bring water for your dogs though (this is why it's minus one star) because there's no running water. While we're not super far from McGolrick, which I've heard has a fancier dog run, this does well because the neighbourhood dogs are so friendly!

Take Kent street all the way down. As you walk, take note of the street scene on Manhattan Avenue, what a cool multi ethnic world to take in... - Bit of history; WNYC radio use to program here and then a couple of years later the park became a beautiful open space to the neighborhood ( it's neighbor, Domino park transformed from a Sugar Factory into a smorgasbord for fellow Williamsburgites). Hmmm, Brooklyn knows how to transform dormant property into beautiful public spaces.. YES! - As for Domino Park, it's a thirty minute walk from this park if you're up to two park visits in a day - The " loves me, loves me not" mural as you enter park is breathtaking - There are benches to sit and just calm your mind - A pedestrian bridge allows majestic views of Brooklyn and Manhattan - Greenpoint Terminal Market on Noble Street offers a lively shopping experience.. I didn't check it out this time but I will be sure to next visit - There are wonderful establishments for all taste buds: The Green Pot for tea and lovely snacks, Forninos, my other pizza favorite, Karczma for kielbasa and borscht. Today I ate at Paulie Gees Pizza Slice Shop and took dessert home at Peter Pan Pastry shoppe. I learned that this waterfront space was once the site of a radio tower. Because it was early morning, the park was quiet and empty. A few people were walking their dogs on the pier, which overlooks the Manhattan skyline. What caught my eye even more than the city waking up, however, was the large mural against a red brick wall. It shows a woman lying down, plucking dandelion petals. It was whimsical, especially once I noticed the frog beside her. I appreciated discovering this small pocket of the city and enjoyed the moment of peace before my day kicked into high gear.

It's actually not all that nice so I don't get the 4 and 5 star reviews but to each their own. This area was once a ferry landing that served the citizens of Williamsburg before it became part of Brooklyn. it was called the 19th century Grand Street Ferry. It transported goods and passengers across the East River to Manhattan. There is a relic of an old smokestack from a long gone molasses plant that used to be here anchoring the park.

It's utterly gorgeous and it's also located next to Industry and old stuff and it's beautiful. They have rejuvenated the area like crazy, and it is the very definition of gentrification you could say. It's next to the Domino Sugar Factory, and the skyline is dominated by that, and you can also look across to the beautiful Lower Manhattan vista. And of course like others said, get splashed by the toxic (not in a hipster way) East River whenever a boat goes by. I love it and it's one of the best to use but there are so many good ones.

It was a friend's birthday celebration picnic and it looks like everyone loves having picnics there. Groups were medium size for the most part (4-6 people). It's not a huge park but there's a lot of green space and benches along the pathway. There's a restroom available so that's convenient. For my fellow dog lovers, there's a dog run there to enjoy with your furry friend.

Outside the park was a farmer market. Fresh produce and bakery. Free books. Balloon artist made balloons in return for donations. Park itself has ball courts and playground. The mist sprayer was on in November for some reason. Plenty of benches for parents. Playground feels little outdated. Pumpkin Smash event included pumpkin trebuchet, manual chop up of pumpkins, free recycling bag giveaway, free apple cider, booths to explain compost and a free bag of compost. Recycling can Mascot was out to take pictures with crowd. Pumpkin trebuchet was definitely most fun. Definitely will return again.
