An example of a weekend sale. They post sales on Fridays.

This store always has a variety of corals to choose from and the prices are all reasonable. Their main frag tank has frag sections from $10 to $55 and they have additional tanks with $45-$85+ sections. They also sell livestock that goes through a quarantine process. I have a thriving little Longhorned Cowfish named Mootz that came from LE and he eats more like a horsefish . Additionally they stock alot of dry goods and the prices compare with Amazon. Great place to go when you need something specific and need it quick. They run specials almost every weekend and I definitely recommend following their social accounts to keep updated on specials. I included an example of one of their holiday sales in my photos. Another great tip... they usually have Reef Stew and Live Brine readily available. Live Brine 1c = $2.00 Reef Stew 100ml = $2.50

Great selection of fish and coral and very knowledgeable staff. Recently purchased a Turbinaria heronensis from LE and it is doing great.

Their frag tanks are a good deal imo. Just met two great employees, both helped me come to a decision and good pointers. A+

They don't stand behind their product, nor do they have any interest in retaining customer loyalty. Buyer beware.

Driving into the store from Surprise where I live, no concern or sincere of any urgency. Instead, I was treated with very poor customer service. I was expected to wait for days to hear back from someone. After 2 days of calling the store and being frustrated. I was told I had to wait until the next week in order for the guy who makes them, to come back from out of town and remake a new one. The store had a whole basket of the same item "Except those were double magnets" and I only purchased the single magnet". To make things right and avoid customer frustration. No one offered to upgrade or anything else, I had to ask options to just upgrade and be done with it. What a JOKE, I was offered a discount to upgrade. Basically, around the same price if I'd just purchased the double magnet mount. Pay Double The $$ for a product that only lasted 1.5 months. I DON'T THIONK SO. I only purchased it because I was told the store made these. I was trying to support a small company. Not After This. I'm done dealing with this place. Completely different attitude when addressing a defective product they sell. Unless your dropping $$$ the day of the visit, expect to get bare minimum for customer service when there is an issue. They won't be getting any $$ from me after this encounter.

The customer service is amazing, if you are beginners they are willing to walk you through everything and give you great knowledge. Will be back every single time we need something for our aquarium. They always have this amazing Puffer fish, it's a must see (See attached)

As an experienced reefer myself, it was great having someone else reinforce everything I've been telling my son. Because, as every parent knows, kids never believe Dad actually knows what he's talking about! Of course, Garrett says the same thing and suddenly it's credible. Garrett took the time to talk with my son, answer his questions, explain things in a way that made sense, and teach him quite a bit. My son really listened to him and walked away knowing a lot more about the hobby. And I'm not going to lie, Garrett even taught me a few things, and I've been in the reefing hobby for over 30 years! That really speaks to what makes Kona Reef stand out. Whether you're brand new to the hobby or have decades of experience, there's a wealth of knowledge there. The staff is approachable, knowledgeable, and genuinely willing to help rather than just trying to sell you something. Kona Reef Chandler is a great store and a standout retail location in the reefing community. Great people, great knowledge, and great service. I would recommend them without hesitation. And at the end of the day, Garrett succeeded because my son officially joined the hobby! He's now on his way to becoming a broke reefer like the rest of us. But that's part of the fun. It's an awesome hobby, and I'm excited that I now get to share it with my son. Thanks, Garrett and Kona Reef Chandler, for helping get the next generation hooked!

There is definitely a lot to learn when you're first starting out, and Garrett took the time to explain things to me, answer all my questions, and help me understand what I actually needed without making it overwhelming. My dad has been reefing for over 30 years, so I've been around it, but starting my own tank is completely different. Garrett made the whole experience a lot easier and got me even more excited about getting into the hobby. Kona Reef Chandler is definitely a place I'll keep coming back to as I build my tank and learn more. Thanks Garrett for all the help and for helping another reefer get started!

Artistic Aquariums - Custom in wall saltwater tank

    Artistic Aquariums

I purchased premixed saltwater for my reef tank from Artistic Aquariums in Chandler yesterday at…read moreapproximately 3:45 p.m. This morning, while preparing to perform maintenance before leaving town tomorrow, I tested the premixed water with my calibrated digital refractometer. The salinity measured only 1.021, which is below safe level for a reef tank. Because I needed to use the water before my trip, I called the store around noon to ask what salinity they mix their water to and whether I could receive a refund or replacement if I was accidentally sold the wrong solution. I went to the store so I could demonstrate that I had not used the water and to work toward a reasonable solution before discarding it. The employee working that day was new, working alone, and genuinely did everything she could to help me. She was kind, patient, and professional throughout the entire interaction. Unfortunately, she had very limited authority and had to repeatedly contact the owner for direction. My disappointment is not with her, it is with the ownership and leadership. While there, we tested the water together. Their refractometer read approximately 1.024, while my calibrated tester consistently read 1.021-1.022. I recalibrated my tester in front of her and received the same results. I wasn't demanding confrontational or disrespectful. I tried to compromise. I requested either a refund or, at the very least, a store credit since the product was less than 24 hours old and unusable for my aquarium. The owner declined both requests. Instead, I was offered only two options as a "one-time courtesy": * Dump the water and refill the container with more of the same water that day. * Return within one week for a replacement. Neither option was workable because I was leaving town the following day. I even asked if the one-week timeframe could be extended since I would be away, but the answer was no. I also asked to speak directly with the owner. I was told he was too busy and would call me later. What makes this even more frustrating is that the store has a posted 14-day return policy, to which should apply to this product per the small print, and this purchase wasn't even 24 hours old. The one-week limitation I was given did not appear to align with the store's posted policy or with what I believe is reasonable customer service. To verify my equipment wasn't the issue, I stopped by Kona Reef and tested their premixed saltwater with my calibrated tester. Their water measured 1.025, confirming that my tester was reading accurately. This isn't really about an $8 purchase. It's about accountability, consistency, and standing behind the products you sell. I made every reasonable effort to find a fair compromise, but I left without a workable solution. If you value customer service and ownership that stands behind their products, I would encourage you to consider this experience before choosing to do business here.

In my experience, the owner did not handle concerns in a respectful or constructive way. I also had issues with the stated 14-day return policy -- it was not honored in my case, which added to the frustration and made the situation feel unfair. Overall, the experience was stressful rather than positive. Based on what I went through, I would not recommend this business and would advise others to be very clear about expectations before committing to anything.
