It finally happened. After 3 years, my husband and I had a whole night out without our 3 year old kid. We wanted to do some drinking and eating, and so we went to Limey's for the first time. We're so glad we chose it! The menu is bar food, but it's really good! The hot wings were crispy and delicious. The buffalo chicken mac and cheese was ENORMOUS and comforting. The drinks were quick, decently priced, and served with a friendly smile. There was billiards and darts, and quite a few nice locals to talk to. An uber from Windsor Gardens was only 6 bucks, too. read more

I totally dig this place. So let me preface by saying that I have only been during the day -- never @ night. And I've been about 20 times during the day, for lunch on the wknds. So there's that. That's my sample size. That said, I don't think I've ever had a bad experience. The place is SO CLEAN, which is awesome. There is usually only one person working bar and taking food orders, but they never seem flustered or annoyed -- always managing whoever is there with ease and a smile. The food is hit or miss -- the nachos are terrific, salads are too small and too expensive, burgers are solid, as is the pizza. Overall, this is a staple in our wknd rotation and I think it will be for years to come. read more

Not impressed with this place at all! The waitress wasn't friendly and the food was below average. I got buffalo wings that were almost inedible - soggy with sauce that wasn't good and the chicken didn't taste fresh. My husband got a salad that was a small portion and pretty pricey. Had 2 great meals from Limey's from take out last night. The food was excellent. Highly recommend.

It was the perfect place to get snowed in at!! They had the fireplace going the place was packed and with only 2 people working they were on top of it from making sure the food orders got out to making sure you never went thirsty. The food was excellent and the portions are great for a cheap price. No matter where you sat you had a great view of the TVs to catch any game on. If your up for playing some games there was a table playing Jenga and everyone having a great time. Well now this is Boston. There are many Irish pubs in the area. I live in Norwood, and there are some here too. But this is a British pub, and it shows. I came originally from Newfoundland where "fish 'n' chips" is a delicacy and it's done in the English way, with hand cut fries that are to die for, unlike the frozen steak-cut fries most people in New England have come to associate with "fries". You haven't lived! Limey's offers up the real deal. Hand-cut fries with wonderfully battered fish that is done as well as I've had it in New England. I have also had their chicken wings which are just great. Their salads are large and tasty. I can roll in and get fish and chips the right way (with malt vinegar if you know your fish and chips) and a Guinness and when you leave you'll already be planning your next trip. Well done Limey's. I checked out Limey's a couple of weeks ago. I think I was the first customer on a Saturday, so the place was pretty quiet. Food was great ... big portions, drink was mixed right, atmosphere was cool and had a lot of stuff to check out, bartender / server guy was friendly and positive. Customers that started streaming in seemed comfortable and familiar. I liked Limey's ... I'll go back. read more

If you want to witness people being so over served that they can barley walk and talk then this is a great place to go. Big townie bar. Also some pretty epic trashy fights take place inside and in front of this place. Beer is cold but not my type of drinking establishment. read more

This place is decent. They have free pool a couple nights a week. Bartenders are usually pretty good. Food is average - nothing spectacular, nothing awful. I've had burgers and apps several times and it was fin - no complaints. Like most local bars it's hit or miss weekends, but definitely trends on the 25 and under side of clientele. Have been to this pub several times. To me it's a typical bar. It is large and 'open' enough to have a large crowd of friends. The bartenders are pleasant. The prices are reasonable. The outstanding or the "WOW" factor is the nachos. These are the best I've ever had and the portion is enough to feed four people. read more

This has been the only place I go to unwind after work days. The bartenders, Stacey, Rachel, AJ, PJ, and Bobby are all so good to me. They work very hard and can handle the big rushes and make it fun while doing so. I always feel welcome and theyre exceptionally accommodating. The food is good pub food, too. There's always good music on and great conversation. I wish this place was closer to my job in Boston so I could bring my friends along with me! :) read more

Limeys has a good atmosphere. The drinks are always good but the crowd is such a mix of young and old... It's quite odd.

Highly recommend Thursday night trivia! Also can't go wrong with a well poured Guinness and some apps.

I asked him for a list of Bourbon's and he listed off every Whiskey they have then after again asking for a bourbon he gave me a name I never heard of, and it ended up being a scotch. Limey's has become my go-to place the last few months. Lifelong Norwood resident and I know all the spots. Limey's gives you by far the best combo of great drinks, really good food at decent prices, cool atmosphere, TVs for sports, and awesome tunes. It's more the kind of place you'd find in Brighton or Somerville versus some of the tacky Norwood joints. It's still a hidden jewel but probably not for long. read more

Not a fan of this place. The bar tenders are the opposite of friendly unless of coarse you are friends with them. The bathroom had a fair amount of vomit in the stall. The one and only pool table is small so the cue ball has a habit of launching off it. Never tried the food here but I doubt I will. read more

This is a great local spot. Their burgers are great and the nachos are absolutely enormous. I love when they have the fireplace roaring in the winter and the doors wide open in the summer. The staff can be a little inattentive at times though. read more

This place has a great pub atmosphere. The food is very good, beers cold. The service is excellent. My one hangup is something that a lot of bars are doing these days. I went in in the middle of the week. One person at the bar. The bartender asked if I wanted to start a tab. I said yes and she said I just need to see a credit card. This is so annoying. Right off the bat its saying "we don't trust you." I had one beer and left. I can see if it's 3 deep all around the bar but two people in that big room? Really? I expect it from the big chains, which I rarely patronize, but a small neighborhood pub should ditch that policy, especially when the bar is not crowded. read more

Went last night and while the atmosphere was enjoyable until the young folks arrived and the service was very good and friendly, the food was disappointing and lacking. No flavor at all. Went to Limeys for a after dinner cocktail. Place was lively with band playing. The place was packed with a very young crowd. The bar could have used 2 bartenders. Took awhile to get a drink. I was disappointed that my drinks were served in a plastic disposalable cup. Serving drinks in plastic disposable cups shows the laziness of staff. Probably won't be back. read more
