I called this place to see if they could host a group of 20 for a birthday. They were so friendly and easy to work with, I was pleasantly surprised. They made the reservation and were ready to go before we got there. They even let me decorate the table. The service was awesome. We had people coming to check on us constantly. The food came out quickly and with a smile. Our server (he had a beard) was amazing. He offered us suggestions on the menu and drink list (which is extensive) and made us laugh along the way! The food... or should I say comfort food... was great. Good sized portions, home cooked taste, in a bar environment. Very disappointed. Used to come here a few years ago. Alot has changed. Ordered the ruben sandwich with tots. Tots were good, but the sandwich left me disappointed. I was expecting thick slices of corned beef, what I got was paper thin slices of pastrami smothered in thousand island dressing with barely enough meat to cover the thin slices of bread. First time coming to limericks in upland. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed.. great beer selection, a full bar and great food. This place does it all and does it well. Our waitress, Michelle, was amazing. She was very sweet, and quick to recommend a drink.We had a series of whiskey cocktails, all of which were well made. This place is special. The food is very very good. A great place to take wifey or a date. I've lived a while in the Midwest and this place has a nice tavern feeling. Nice selection of beer or drinks. One of my favorites places to go for a drink and some food. I always get sliders and fries. I've never had a bad experience in the years I've been coming here but unfortunately yesterday the server completely forgot about my food order and after 45 minutes of waiting, I decided to just pay for my one drink (which I had to ask for the bill and waited another 10 minutes for that) and leave. I understand it's different times, but there were only 5 tables and the server didn't look like she was doing her job. The table behind us even got up and left without paying. Oh my goodness!! I didn't really want to come. I was told it's a bar with great burgers. It's so much more. I had the Impossible Burger (that's meatless) and it was THE MOST delicious "burger" I ever had. Grilled Zucchini set it off! Every single bite was flavorful! My hubby brags on the nachos, but tonight he had the Wagyu burger and mmmm-Ed and ah-ed through the whole experience. It gets even better!!! Happy Hour is 3-7pm and so our burgers were only $10!WITH a beer included. (Good drink menu) The environment is clean, good music, happy customers. Dessert (seasonal fruit cobbler) was made after we ordered it. (It's peach right now-summer time.) wish I could buy a whole pie. Everything they make tastes amazing!! I was there today for St Paddy day arrived at 10:30am so I can get in before the big crowd. Everything was going great so I spent lots of money to support the venue. tipped my bartender 40% because she worked hard today. Time to leave so I was closing my tab. The manager short over weight female standing beside began yelling at me. Her words, " You better not drive" And because it was very loud in the venue and I have a hearing impairment, I could not understand what she was trying to convey to me. She repeated the same verbage but I still could not understand. Suddenly, she called for a security person to have me removed from the premises. The security person grabbed my arm to direct me toward the door, I asked politely to not become physical and he complied. The supposed owner came over and said I must leave. I explained the situation and he said he would speak to her about it. My feel unappreciated since I visit Limericks often and have lunch/dinner with my mother and wife and spend hundreds of dollars. So now today Im being removed for a reason that doesn't make sense. I was embarrassed during the ordeal since I'm a well known upstanding resident of our community. I will be seeking consultation with my family attorney for possible lawsuit filing of defamation of character against Limericks ownership/employee conduct. Win or lose, Limericks will have attorney fees and so will I. I can afford it. No appreciation for a great customer. read more

I've had this placed bookmarked for a while now and decided to give it a shot. The inside may look small but it's very spacious but it's not the greatest looking place. The staff is very friendly. From the security guard to every waitress. My friend and I decided to get an appetizer, fish and chips and I got the Hangover Burger. Let me tell you, the food was not great at all. Very disappointed. I forgot what the appetizer was called but all it was, was chips with cheese and meat on top of it. Not the greatest thing at all. My friend said his fish and chips were good, wasn't able to taste it myself. Now my burger, The Hangover, it was the messiest burger I had ever dealt with. It was just smoother in chilli. Just so messy to deal with. It didn't taste so great either. The only reason I give it 2 stars, besides the staff, is their drink variety. A lot of good beers on tap. Can't complain about that. I was in the neighborhood for an event and stopped by. Limerick's is a spacious bar with good service, great food, and a spectacular pour on the drinks. The HH well drinks are $4, and there are plenty of other reasonably priced cocktails, beer, and appetizers on the menu. I opted for the Caesar salad and pretzel. Both were so delicious and fresh. I was recommended to this bar/Resturant by a friend. We went on a Monday and found out the have a Burger Combo with beer for $10. The burger was fantastic! And I mean one of the best I have had! Limericks is a-ok to me. I do love that they have my Guiness on draft because theres a lot of places that dont. Its a pub in a strip mall. Nothing fancy, kind of a cheers type place. One of my good friends is a regular so Ive only been there with her. As far as cocktail drinks they dont skimp on the liquor. The food on the other hand isnt all that great but decent. Last time I was there I had the: Scallop sliders: Tasted great. I understand its scallops but slapping them between two kings hawiian rolls shouldnt drive the price up to 12 bucks. Margharita Pizza: Too much sauce. There actually shouldnt be any sauce on that kind of pizza at all actually. Also, be prepared to wait. Food takes a while to come out. Went to Limericks last Friday night and was again, seriously disappointed. My first two experiences were not that great and thought I would give them another try. To begin with, several of their TV's were not working. Fine. I can work with that although this has been an ongoing issue. Secondly, the place smelled like stale rancid smoke which did not help the evening. I ordered the Shepard's pie and my wife ordered a Chicken Pot Pie which after some delay was told they were out of and would be another hour. She then ordered the Guinness Stew. I must say, the food is always very good. One of the things that make me want to give them another try. Only thing is, the prices are high for what you are getting. Their beer selection has some good European beers that are quite good, but again you must enjoy that sort of thing. The service is always notoriously slow and not always too friendly or even knowledgeable about what is on the menu or what type of beer they carry. The website is not much help either. Overall, my time here is done. I just haven't had the best experiences here and if I want some good English/Irish fare, will just visit the English Bull Dog where you get much more for you money. read more

I was in the mood for something different for dinner, so I consulted Yelp and found this place. The pictures of Bangers&Mash and Shepherds Pie looked like the kind of break from my usual places that I was craving. When we arrived, the place was half filled and we were offered to pick any open table with no wait. The interior is partly sports bar with lots of TVs and partly Irish/English pub with cozy niches to hang and chat over a pint. Service was prompt and friendly. Our waitress was helpful in navigating the extensive beer selection and food menu. I'm truly impressed by the large selection of Irish, English and Artisan US beers on tap. Aside from the usual Guiness, Harp and Bass, they have Murphys, Smithwicks and Newcastle. On the North American side they have top locals like Golden Road, Pomona and Hangar24, as well as hard to find micros like Oscars Blue. Unfortunately, their food is not up to par with the beer menu. The Shepherds Pie was bland. No seasoning in the beef that I could taste. Worst I've ever had. The Bangers and Mash were an even bigger disappointment. Instead of a proper banger, they served a sliced Kielbasa over mashed potatoes with tasteless light gravy. No heavy brown gravy and no side of veggies or anything else with it. For $14, that's not ok. Overall, loved the beer and service, but have knock off 2 stars for disappointing and overpriced food. read more

If I give 0 stars I would. We went to Limerick's for happy hour and received the worst service. We got our first beers after we had finished our order of house nachos. The nachos were ordered 10 minutes after our beer order was taken. The beer was room temperature and terrible. Since it was happy hour we decided to each order another beer since they were only $1. When we got our bill they over charged us on the nachos because we asked for the sour cream on the side which is an ingredient in the nachos. They also charged us full price for one of our $1 beers. When we bought up the over charge to the server it took them over 20 minutes to bring a corrected bill. This is the last time we will ever go to this establishment read more

If you are in the mood for a great burger, this is the place to go. I love their burgers and/or sliders. The beef is high quality and it's apparent as soon as you taste it. The fish and chips is another favorite of ours. And, if you are in the mood for dessert, the peach cobbler is wonderful. The staff is attentive and quick to refill your beverages. It does get really crowded when they have the fights on TV, but most other times you can manage to get a table. read more

Prices are awesome. Service not that nice. You constantly have to be waving down the girls to get another drink. On two other different occasions I even had to walk up to them and ask for another drink. All while they were just piled up talking amongst themselves. And the ONLY time they did a check up round was to say "ready for another drink?" And even before ANSWERING she said "oh no that's enough, your cut off"! WHAT THE HECK? We ordered ONE DIET COKE, AND TWO BEERS ". It was Two of us. And there was still about almost two hrs before closing left. Why ask? If you're then going to say "ur cut off"? That's just rude. Food is always pretty good. No complain there. Service with as low staffed as they seemed wasn't too bad, waitress still managed to check up on our table regularly. Drinks however...Cocktails were way over poured. Not just from our drinks but even the neighboring tables agreed. We all ordered simple drinks not requiring more than two ingredients. If you want your customers to spend more and order more than 1 drink. No doubt you are losing money with all that over pouring. read more

Maybe its because this place reminds me so much of the bar I spent a lot of time with my friends in in college, but I really liked this place. The wife and I stopped by here after our original plan fell through. We came later on a rainy night so the bar was not very crowded. We ordered the Irish nachos, shepherds pie, zucchini sticks and pudding. All the food was really good, though I think the shepherds pie could use a little more seasoning. They also had a good beer selection. Not beer geek good, but definitely had many satisfying options for the craft brew enthusiast. Service was top notch too! We had a trainee who was on top of things and, after her shift ended, our waiter continued with the awesome services.
