Beautiful room really good food. Could use more selections on the menu. Limited wine list lacking much choice and overpriced

My spouse had dinner with her BFFs at this establishment. She raved about it - the drinks, shared dishes, the ambience and the great service. read more

I had the NY strip & it was cooked as ordered & excellent taste. Our server did an excellent job taking care of us. Ambiance is excellent! Only drawback is parking that is virtually non existent. I will be going back. read more

Our food was delicious and the cocktails were amazing! But the best part of the night was the service by Carlos!

We've been to Limelight several times and always enjoy it. Atmosphere is nice, food is consistently good and the service is top notch. Jon is a great waiter and Carlos is bartender extraordinaire! read more

I celebrated my birthday at Limelight. I couldn't have picked a better place for dinner. The server Carlos went above and beyond making sure we have an outstanding experience. He had such a positive attitude and energy. Drinks were amazing and the food really good. Suggest getting the pork skews and the bread with butter. I got a complementary glass of champagne and a desert too. THANK YOU! read more

We loved the ambiance. We had the waygu beef flat iron, the pork skewers and , the kurabota pork loin. The meat was tender and delicious. The service was impeccable. Our server was Chrissy and I appreciate her overview of everything on the menu. We will definitely be returning to this fine establishment. read more

My husband and I have been to Limelight twice now. The atmosphere is super cool. Our servers both times were very friendly and helpful. The cocktails are so fun! Mine had a fizzy bomb to drop in the drink. The food we had was so creative and delicious. The Charcuterie board is great to share with your table and the Brussels Sprouts are one of my favorites. I'm actually going back this week for a girls night. read more

Must sit at bar to experience the wonderfuness of the bar staff. Carlos is a must with added fun from Sarah and Betty! Carlos will always introduced to people at the bar, so it's especially great if you go solo or want to make friends. Recommend coming for neighborhood hour (4:30-5:30). Strong cocktails in the best way. The tree and menu also change by season! read more

Amazing!!! Go see Carlos! He's the best :) the sea scallops and chocolate cheesecake were amazing

Excellent food, service, and ambiance as always. I continue to come here and have brought friends and family who always want to return. My only disappointment this time was that Carlos was not working the bar. Carlos is excellent, extremely personable and always makes my day better. While this place has many virtues Carlos is one of the reasons I come back again and again. read more

Limelight has some delicious and inventive food, but there are a few things that could be improved on. The entry through a small dark curtained hallway is a bit odd, but I guess it might keep down on the noise of those waiting for table. When I went in April, they were still serving the "Winter Menu" which seems a bit late. I was hoping for some lighter options, but settled on fish which was tender and moist and did not disappoint. But, I was very frustrated that the wine menu was not accurate. I ordered a glass and after 5 minutes or so the waitress came back to tell me they don't have that wine. So I ordered a bottle of something else and after 10+ minutes of waiting she came back to tell me the same thing! It turns out that there are quite a few wines on the menu that they don't have. It really isn't that hard to update a wine list at such a small venue. At least they could cross out the wines no longer available or ensure the waitstaff knows and can inform customers. So, although my fish was probably perfect when it came out of the kitchen, it was cold by the time I tried it because I wanted to enjoy it with a glass of wine. read more

A must try! Very tasty foods and consistent, attentive service without being overbearing. The highlight of our meal was definitely the pork belly skewers. They offer a full palate experience with spicy, sweet, salty, sour, savory, crispy, melty, everything - we would go back just for that alone, but thankfully every dish we tried was excellent. The crab artichoke dip was perfectly balanced and filled with huge lumps of crab meat. Of course, the bread & butter tasting was lovely with a variety of tasty butters and endless warm bread. Our entrees were great as well but the shareables and apps were our favs. We've decided this is our new go to spot for small plates and cocktails for sure! The speciality drink menu was creative and fresh. The space itself can get a bit noisy when it's busy, but we went on a Saturday night dinner date and felt very cozy and intimate even with a mostly full house. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back! read more

Major parking problems! Instructed to park a block away in a grassy field with no lights. Ordered Gnocchi... heavy pieces of dried dough. Should be taken off menu. Bread tasting... cold bread with two selections on cold butter. Would not return until parking issues addressed! read more

Nice place close to home. Amazing food. Took my wife for our anniversary. Dimly lit and romantic feel.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Halibut and the Scallops last night. In addition, the Crap dip appetizer is the Best I have ever had!!! Thanks to Carlos for recommending it. read more

Great food, unbelievable service, Ambiance is wonderful. They give you perfect time to eat, drink and enjoy.

Excellent food and great service from Carlos! This is what Germantown has been waiting for! Great ambiance as well. We will be back!

You never quite know what you're going to get when a new restaurant opens, but it is so very nice when you have a great experience. Atmosphere was stylish and everyone was very welcoming. Our server Jon was outstanding and helped make our eve more enjoyable. Halibut and pork loin were both excellent. The only minor critique is the seasonal old fashion was a very small pour - but good. Look forward to returning. read more

Visited Limelight this evening with some friends and was blown away by the whole experience. First off, the atmosphere was fantastic. We sat at the community table and had the best time. Our server, Justin, was very knowledgeable in all aspects of the menu and was very friendly. He even recommended his favorites and was 100% spot on. The food was amazing!!! I had the Wagyu with purple potatoes and broccoli and it was amazing. The bar prepared us amazing drinks and the staff kept checking on us. 10/10 highly recommend this cozy little spot nestled in Germantown. read more

After enjoying this restaurant several previous times, we reserved a table well in advance of Mother's Day. As the owner claims in his description, "The ambiance is perfect for a date night." NOT ANY MORE!!!! We were seated next to 4 middle school age girls that were incredibly loud and obnoxious the entire meal. Their parents were seated at a separate table nearby but never even spoke to them. After not being able to hear our waiter due to their loud discussions, we asked to be moved. The waiter worked hard to make that happen but management declined. During our meal, we heard discussions of what the contents of a grandparent's diaper looked liked, had food thrown at the back of my chair, had shoes thrown under the table to hide from one another, etc with a constant shrill discussion or laughter. We tried, the server tried, but there was a total lack of management or parental intervention. The food was good but not epic. We ate quickly and left. The waiter informed us that the meal was complimentary and was sorry that he couldn't compensate for a spoiled evening. With a migraine by the end of the meal, the comp meal was not worth it and we will not return!!!! What happened to teaching your children how to act in a nice restaurant? Management failed from seating arrangements of parents with children to lack of accommodations to other paying customers. There were several tables in the corner where the tweens would have been less disruptive. read more

Great drinks, fun place for some drinks. Food/dinner options are more limited but the shareables are filling enough! Service is usually great and ambiance is unique and fun! read more

The crab dip was delicious! Carlos was an amazing server! Drinks were yummy! Everyone should try it!

Please don't waste your time with this restaurant. Food is not worth the price and the service is terrible. There's no need to hear from the restaurant to remove this post. After our experience we won't step back in this restaurant until the new restaurant takes its place. read more

A bit disappointed with our first experience at Limelight. The fiancé and I were celebrating our 4 year anniversary and it was a late Valentine's Day celebration as well. I wasn't expecting anything but during the meal I saw the table behind us receive a toast from their waitress and she offered pictures. We don't care about the toast we just love to have pictures of our celebrations and, to well, celebrate! The drinks were good, (nutty professor and the drink with tequila in it, can't remember what it was called) and the ambiance was great. The tapenade was good but the charcuterie was rather underwhelming. We got the half board and it was 2 meats, Brie and cheddar with whole grain mustard, strawberry preserve and a type of pickled cauliflower and pita style bread. Now the entrees. We got (well we were supposed to get) the duck confit and the sea scallops. After some time the duck confit came out but they brought me the chicken instead. That's fine i understand accidents happen. But the duck confit had maybe a small tongs worth of barbecue style pulled duck (1.5 ounces at most) that was dry and leathery. The chicken was fine, the kale side was delicious. Finally after we finished I received my sea scallops and was told not to worry they would take care of the chicken for me? I would hope they would take care of the chicken I didn't order the chicken. I ordered the sea scallops and had time enough to share 2 entrees before what I ordered was brought to me. That left a bit of a salty taste in my mouth and even though I work in fine dining and understand things happen, I would have voided the food that was ordered plus the food that was given. I know I probably sound like a picky Germantown Chad ( I could usually care less and never leave reviews) but it's the little things that add up. I asked the waiter if I could pay for the chicken instead of the scallops because that's what I actually ate and he agreed to it.. Overall this just wasn't the best dining experience and was a disappointing place to celebrate at. read more

We had the best time at Limelight. The ambience was elegant yet approachable. The service was impeccable by all staff but particularly by our server, Carlos. He was fresh, fun, attentive (but not too attentive), knowledgeable, and ready to make great recommendations. The food was fantastic - I highly recommend the fried cauliflower and oysters appetizers, lyonnaise salad, and halibut entree. The drinks are also amazing - the ice sage and s'mores martini were original and delicious! We will definitely be back. read more

12/29/22 was our first time dining at Limelight. Spoiler alert - we will return. At the door we were greeted by a smiling lady who welcomed us. We were shown to our assigned table where we met Carlos. He was not only our waiter, but, our guide to everything we ate and drank. No exception. We started with drinks that were fantastic....Cos-Merry-Politan (with a pine trig attached for that Christmas tree smell) and Ice Sage. Onto appetizers. Every restaurant we eat at that has oysters we try. Whatever the sauce was delicious. Came with bread that was coated with the sauce. Could have been a meal on it's own. Carlos told us that the fried cauliflower was exceptional. We said OK....and you should also. Entres = Halibut + Gnocchi duck. Our dinner drink was the Agarena Cava brut. Thank you to those who prepared the food. But Carlos!!!! Wow!!! Thank you very much. read more

Went out with friends to check out LImelight. The restaurant is very cute and decorated in a contemporary style. My cosmopolitan was excellent, but I was very disappointed with the food. We had the flavored butters w/ bread to taste. Those were fine, but nothing special. My main dish was the roasted chicken. It was dry and had been placed on top a smearing of mashed potatoes and a drizzle of gravy, and that was the entire entree...no veggies. And again, bland, nothing special. And lastly, for dessert, I ordered the dessert sampler to share and to take home to my husband. The 4 small cookies looked and tasted as if they had come from a Keebler package. Also, the fruit that was included were 2 small strawberries sliced in quarters. Along with that were generically tasting small pieces of peanut brittle and a brownie. The sizes of the items were sad, but the worst thing was the poor quality. I sincerely feel the dessert items came off a Sysco truck. There's no way they were made "in house". Oh, and lastly, I brought home a slice of the chocolate cheesecake for my husband since the dessert sampler was so disappointing and puny. We both agreed it tasted freezer burnt. read more
