We found the food here to be fresh, good solid Tex-Mex. They played authentic Mexican music which was refreshing and the service was friendly and quick.

I wasn't able to have my tacos and frozen margarita on Cinco de Mayo because of the rain, so I'm here to make up for it. The Plantation location was large with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. I was greeted by a friendly employee who took my order of a taco combo consisting of chicken, shrimp, and bbq pork. The tacos were neatly presented on a tray with freshly fried chips. Here's my thought on the food: * Chicken taco was good. Had it a few times before so I knew what to expect in terms of flavor. Tender pieces with shredded lettuce and cheese, pico de Gallo, cilantro and lime crema. * First time having the shrimp and bbq pork taco, and they were both delicious. The shrimp was sauteed with shredded cabbage, roasted corn, red onions, cilantro, lime crema, and cotija cheese. The bbq pork, which I enjoyed the most, was bursting with tasty flavors. Pieces of tender pork with shredded cabbage, pickled red onion, cilantro, and guava bbq sauce. I had a bit of room for dessert so I ordered their churro bites which was a nice ending to an enjoyable meal, and with three fountain drink refills my stomach has reached its full capacity. I look forward on returning. I have yet to try their burritos and other tasty items.

If it were just for the food alone, it would have all five stars however they messed up our order several times and made us wait but honestly, the taste of the food made up for it. We left happy. The empanadas were fire! Make sure you get double servings of the avocado--ranch dipping sauce. And definitely try out the different kinds of hot sauces!!

Absolutely the best variety of fresh salsa with a new self serve concept, which was a great decision. We ordered the bowl of tortilla chips ($5.75) which were crispy. Scooped different salsa flavors into our dipping bowl. The spicy Verde and the sweet Corn-Bean were my favorites, but the scariest one was easily the Pineapple Habanero which brought instant tears to my eyes - the heat of the Habanero over powered the sweetness of the pineapple. These crunchy eats filled us up as we prepared for dessert next door. BATHROOM: Clean with a cactus hanging on the wall which promoted a tex-mex vibe. STAFF: The manager Tiffany was eye balling all ongoing activities and provided great conversation. SEATING: Indoor and outside large patio.

Perfect place for fresh Mexican food. If you like tacos, fajitas, burritos and salads, this is the place for you. The prices are reasonable. Love the varieties of salsa at the take your own salsa bar. The chicken fajitas that I ordered were delicious and included chicken, peppers and onions with all of the fajita toppings. Quick order and the service is fast. Many seats available at the indoor and outdoor seating areas. This restaurant is located in a great area of Plantation that is in a very walkable plaza. Will be back very soon!

Good ambiance Service was easy and nice - order at counter and sit down. Employees came over to give us water and food I got a big Cali with chicken cheese rice. Was delicious. The table split question which was delcioious also, came well seasoned and with seasoned chips. Would come back!

First visit at this Lime and absolutely love the street tacos and as a commercial business it still had a mom&pop home cooked taste. The manager was wonderful and literally sat at our table discussing each hot sauce and taco options. This really enhanced my experience and enjoyed the sweet med sauce the best. The place was very clean and managed well providing quick service and great food.

I am very impressed! I have never been a big Lime fan. I've found that the food is average and the service is subpar. However, this location has INCREDIBLE customer service! You are treated at the door, offered menus immediately, asked if you need suggestions, and just overall treated very well. I am very pleased and will definitely be back!

We stayed at the bar while we waited for our table, and it just so happened the 4 seats became available, so we ended up sitting at the bar and ordered our drinks and food right there. First off, Victoria is awesome!! Such a fun and friendly bartender, she honestly made the night so much more fun. She was on point with the drinks, and even made us a special, Mexican candy shots, they were delicious! We ordered a variety of food items, and each was as good as the next! We had the carb nacho, and they were delicious. They use real crab! I had the rice with rotisserie chicken, it was flavorful and so tender! Definitely would be getting that again if we go back. The restaurant is very big, and ample seating. Great atmosphere and friendly staff! If you like Mexican, this is a fantastic restaurant, and the portion sizes are very generous!

Spacious and clean, they had a service dog sign at the door and was immediately greeted by two host and our server Alexandra. Server was welcoming, polite and very service dog friendly to include bringing a water bowl for my dog. Dinner and drinks were on our table in less than 20 minutes despite the family crowds. Alexandra confirmed the business is military and first responder friendly and offer a discount. Plate of the day was the Chicken Mole enchilada. No fillers but rather huge chunks of juicy and flavorful chicken under fresh Mole sauce, refried beans and rice. Chips and Salsa were so good they gave us some for the road. Portions are huge. I challenge Vets and First Responders to visit and try to clear your plate. Place is a must!

We ordered steak tacos (listed as one of the favorites), quesabirria, spicy margarita and the limonada de mango biche. The drinks were good but the food was okay. The quesabirria was better than the tacos, but the birria sauce just looked and tasted like oily water. The steak tacos are a favorite, but was unfortunately not mine. The steak was chewy and you weren't able to taste the truffle chimichurri. The tacos were also filled with oil. We gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought it may be some sort of sauce but confirmed that it was indeed oil when it started dripping out of the taco. We placed paper napkins on the tray and it absorbed the oil but there was still a lot in the tacos. I didn't notice it at first when I took the picture, but you are able to see the oil in the tacos and the tray...there was a lot! This was our first time at Chilacos and while it may have been a one-off experience, there are other taco places to visit.

It was perfect and they were willing to do whatever needed to be done to keep the us happy. The birria was incredible I just got Chicharron my brain is still processing how good it was. Maybe a little salty, but even though they were super yummy sauces on the table I didn't need to use any of them but I got sidetracked by her need for a key. The ambience was comfortable, casual, well lit and simple. Camilo took great care of us and answered all of our questions. We left completely stuffed and very happy. If I had to Nick pick, I would say that the lack of liquor license deter us from drinking like we wanted to and I wish I didn't have to ask if the margarita was wine based because we almost ordered it and I'm glad we didn't now that I know. Otherwise, we were extremely happy and I will be back often

The margaritas have some really nice flavors to them and my favorite one to get is the prickly pear which has prickly pear puree, lime juice and el tesoro banco in it. I recently went for brunch and can say their sangria is also refreshing and you get a nice glass filled to the top! I had the cast iron skillet pancake and the flavor was amazing and the portion was huge! Their tacos are good but I will only get them during happy hour prices because they are a bit on the smaller side for the price, in my opinion. The service has always been stellar when I am here and I like that there is a nice amount of seating scattered around the place. I also like that there is an option to sit inside out outside in their patio area or at the bar in high top seats. Prices are pretty decent and their drinks and food are delicious. It's so good I've already gone two weeks in a row and I'm pretty sure it's about to become a regular thing for me. One of my favorite parts about this place is that the owners are actually the chefs in the kitchen, preparing all of the dishes themselves. They're incredibly friendly and even come out to chat with guests, which makes the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. The barbacoa tacos are hands down my favorite. The meat is unbelievably tender literally falling apart and so juicy and flavorful. I also tried the campechano tacos (a mix of chorizo and steak) and they were sooo good. Perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. And let's talk about their chipotle salsa... I'm obsessed. I was putting it on everything on the table. It has the perfect smoky kick and just elevates every bite. The guac and chips were good, though they didn't quite stand out compared to how incredible the tacos were. But honestly, those tacos alone are reason enough to keep coming back. Safe to say I've found my new Taco Tuesday spot . Can't wait for my next visit!

Even with a reservation, it still took about 10 minutes to seat us, while walk-ins were being told the wait was 2 hours. Once seated, things only got worse. It took our waitress around 15 minutes just to acknowledge our table. We placed our drink and food order immediately, but even waters took another 15 minutes to arrive. We ordered chips and guacamole as an appetizer and waited another 15 minutes for that. The biggest issue was the food never came. We sat there for 2 HOURS and never received our meals. The table next to us was dealing with the exact same thing and kept asking their waitress for updates. Every single time they were told "10 more minutes." At one point, we were told the kitchen had prioritized takeout orders over the customers dining inside, despite multiple tables waiting over two hours for food. Our waitress was also extremely inattentive. During the entire 2 hours we sat there, she only came back once after taking the initial order. No updates, no checking in, nothing. The most disappointing part was my daughter waiting two hours for a meal she never even received. Completely unacceptable experience, especially on a holiday where they were heavily promoting the event. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place based on the service and overall management that night.

Funny enough, I actually heard about Casa Monarca directly from the owner. Total random moment, I was telling a friend how much I love tacos, and he happened to be a friend of my friend. He told me to check it out, and I'm glad I remembered and listened because he definitely didn't steer me wrong. Food never disappoints. I've tried a bunch of different things. The chorizo tacos, elote, verde enchiladas, quesadillas, and nachos. I make it a point to switch it up every visit. Everything I've had has been fire!! Still an attractive interior. Two very nice servers were on the floor. We just missed lunch so the dinner menu was our only option. They brought the complementary chips and salsa (which some places now have the nerve to charge for), it's a tasty salsa. Ordered some "fresh made" guac (it better be!) which was made better with a few squeezes of lime juice. We decided to try the combo platters since the kitchen was new and it's a good test. My dining companion opted for shredded beef burrito and a ground beef chili relleno. I went with a ground beef tostada and shredded chicken enchilada. With the requisite beans and rice. Look, it was good food, not knock your socks off cuisine. I mean we consciously chose Mex-American so that's on us. The menu offers some other interesting options that I'd order next time. My only gripe is a dry enchilada. I like them swimming in red sauce and cheese which this was not. Otherwise, as I stated, nothing to complain about. The price point is decent for dinner in Fort Lauderdale. Btw I love a good tostada and mine was pretty darn yummy.
