I recently called in an order for the Taco Tuesdaze special from my local Tijuana Flats. I ordered my usual, two steak tacos on hard shells with all the toppings and a root beer soda. Unfortunately, this time the meal didn't quite meet the "Tijuana taco love" standard I've come to expect. Each taco had just a single jalapeño, the filling was noticeably skimpy, and one of the shells was already broken when I opened the container. I didn't return to the store to address the issue because I was headed to work, but it was a bit of a letdown since I frequent this location often and have never had a problem before. That said, I do want to note that both the team member who took my order over the phone and the one who helped me at pickup were very pleasant and professional. This one-off experience won't stop me from coming back--I just hope the next visit feels more like the Tijuana Flats I know and love. read more

This is a very cool Tex-Mex spot that brings a lot of energy. The decor matches the vibe, perfectly overdone. Drinks are good, which is critical of course. The food is good. If you go for the tacos or other dishes, they give you the option to go more authentic Mexican or the Americanized version. Fun to be there, easy on the wallet (especially if your friends pay the tab) and you'll leave satisfied (assuming you like drinking and eating). Came here on a Thursday after 6pm to enjoy the new Queso Crunch Burrito. With COVID regulations all staff had on mask and everyone entering. Tables enforced social distancing. The sauce bar wasn't there, however staff does have the sauce packaged for you amongst asking. The Queso Crunch Burrito was delicious! It's huge! Packed with chicken (your choice of a different meat), Queso, tortilla strips, beans and rice. It was enough for dinner and lunch the next day. I decided to visit the Hollywood Tijuana Flats location and it was awesome. Went a Thursday after 6pm and it was not so busy. Walked in and was instantly greeted by the staff. I mentioned the Yelp promo and the staff helped me choose my items. I was able to try the new chicken crunch burrito with salsa and chips, with a drink. I'm not a burrito fan but boy this was made fresh to order with awesome ingredients. It was delicious I had left overs too. Yummy. Do to covid the famous hot sauce stand is not out. But the team preps the sauces for you to enjoy and gives them to you. My time here was nice. Probably because you truly fill a niche between fast but also great food. You use quality ingredients and everything is always served fresh and hot. Hubby and I went here for the first time for a date night and we sat outside which is a great setup. Most places have outside dining out front where people are constantly walking by and you are on a side walk. Not here it is dedicated to the side of the building and gated in. Therefore even during Corona 19 you can enjoy fresh air and limited interactions with others. You can get a nice cold beer and everything is affordable. Last night hubby and I were out and needed to get something to eat. Hubby didn't want anything than out of no where he says let's go to Tijuana Flats. So while we sat in our car we ordered from the app. I went inside where they have a dedicated person greet you and solely taking care of pickups and delivery orders. Beware of Taco Tuesdays, was the lesson I learned last night when I put in an online order for two servings of Dos Tacos for pickup. They had a server carrying out orders to people outside but had indoor dining and lots of people lined up immediately inside looking at the orders on the pickup table and waiting for their orders when they saw it wasn't there. They have one table for orders made through their website and app, and one table for third party app orders (like DoorDash). They told me it was a busy night (I understand, I could see), and I gave my name to three different people who approached me to look into my order. One manager looking woman came to me with the receipt for my order to confirm it was me and told me it was being worked on. Another server told me I could wait by the pay and pickup counter, and I watched for 25 minutes as people ordered at the counter, paid and got their food earlier than I did. Mind you, I had showed up 15 minutes after my order promise time. The manager appearing worker came to me saying they lost my order and was remaking it, and she added a complimentary dessert as an apology for the mishap. 15 minutes later, my order was brought out, and by the time I finally got it to bring back to work, it was pouring outside. The paper cup carrier with the two drinks I got became soaked and soft in seconds (something to think about with carry out containers despite the styrofoam cups for the drinks). The dessert was churro bites, which were essentially fried donut holes with ridges and cinnamon sugar. The strawberry sauce and chocolate sauce were genuinely tasty, and I liked dipping a churro bite into both of them; I feel like each one was distinctly flavored and complemented each other. I'm not sure whether I'd buy these, but I know now that I should give ample, ample time from the order promise time to pick up an order here when I have another craving for the tacos, bowls and hot sauces. read more

This place has a fun vibe with inside and outside seating. You order at the counter and then sit down with your number and the server delivers the food to your table. The chips are good and they have a very full salsa bar with spicy ratings and ingredients listed on each sauce. The food, however, was not great. We ordered a chicken quesadilla which was not good; not enough cheese, not the right texture. I ordered a bowl with Steak; it was kind of a sloppy mess. My stepdaughter did like the chicken tacos; they came with shredded chicken. The queso dip wasn't very good either.
