Their pieces are not only handmade, very close to the shop I found out, but they are so unique, so dainty, yet make such a statement! I consistently receive compliments on them, and I cannot wait to grow my collection! I am extremely sensitive to nickel, and these pieces don't cause me a single issue, even in the summer heat! On our last trip into the store, the owner, and wife of the creator, was there, and she was so kind and genuine, such a pleasure to be around! I want to leave a 5 star review for this place so badly but I bought two pieces of jewelry from them, both absolutely lovely, and I've had trouble with both of them. I bought a beautiful dainty pair of hoop earrings and they broke the second time I wore them. Thankfully, they offered repairs but we were visiting so coordinating a drop off and ship was weird and annoying. They wanted me to pay for shipping for earrings that broke the second time I wore them! They did go ahead and waive the shipping fee for me so that was nice. I also bought this beautiful bracelet with a texas on it and it has bent beyond repair. I woke up one night and it was bent in half and I had to take it off and bend it the right way to get it back to the general shape it was supposed to be. As you can see from the picture, the metal has been bent in a few different directions. So frustrating because their jewelry is beautiful. If you're gonna spend $180 on jewelry, you'd expect it to be of a certain quality and it was just not there. 3 stars because it's beautiful and they're repairing it for me. read more

The jewelry pieces are the symbol for demure beauty. They are delicate in various shapes. Madeline was a gem! She was fun, encouraging and freaking real. Many years ago during a trip to SXSW I found a super sweet shirt that I bought for Sir Nicholas. I bought this shirt from a kind of street market and he love, love, loved it. It was a short-sleeved cowboy style shirt with snap buttons and emblems over the pocket that was an ape punching a shark with a comic book-like pow image. Super. Sweet. Unfortunately a couple of years after this Sir Nicholas has a food accident that left the shirt stained and kind of unwearable. So, you can possibly imagine my delight when I stumbled upon Limbo during my most recent Austin trip and realized that this store is the brick and mortar of that little tent I had found so long ago, or they at least sell the same kind of shirts from that little tent. And yes, they had the same design still. So I swooped up a replacement shirt for Nick lickety-split. They have a ton of great stuff besides the one shirt I bought. And the next time I'm in town and in the area I'll be sure to perhaps do some shopping for myself. I can't say enough about how beautiful this jewelry is, and how wonderful Edson has been. He's much nicer to me than I deserve for having only bought two pieces over the years (allow me to shamelessly play my Poor Social Worker card here), and he remembers me every time I see him - which has been roughly once a year. Today he replaced (not just repaired) the chain on my Bubble Dos necklace for free, while I waited, and entertained me with good conversation in the meantime. Free. While I waited. Truthfully, though, I'd buy his stuff even if he were a raging wanker. It's that beautiful. Ooh, and they're opening a storefront downtown, too, at 305 5th Street. Go there. Buy stuff. Be happy. We stumbled upon Edson and Limbo quite by accident while we were waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant. What a happy accident it was! You can tell that he takes a lot of pride in his work, which must be pretty easy since it is beautiful work. His lines are so clean, delicate and modern. I could not walk away from the turquoise necklace I bought. It was the most magnificent stone I have ever seen and I loved how he hung it on an asymmetrical chain to give it even more visual interest. I get so many compliments on it! We stumbled in this gem walking south Congress. Unique and inventive clothing and jewelry. The service was amazing!!!!! My girlfriend bought this really cool Tang top with the softest cotton with an amazing art print that we have all ready got 2 complimented on the first day she wore it. They have this rack of vintage buttons ups where they imbroidered all of them with their own designs. It's very unique and hip. Let's get back to the service. I left a package on the counter when I bought the shirt and walked off without it. We had walked a full block and entered uncommon objects store. All of a sudden the girl from Limbo was behind us and said, " I think you forgot this!" She had tracked us down a full block from her store no doubt looking in every store to see if we were there. My wife and I visited Limbo Jewelry on a recent trip through Austin. SoCo is one of my favorite areas in Austin, and Limbo is a little gem (pun intended!) of this area. It is actually the storefront of a local jeweler, Edson, who used to sell at the artisan's market. Now, he features the work of many local artists in his store. We purchased some earrings that my wife adores, and wears all the time. Sales persons were very helpful. I had to scour the internet before leaving town to track them down and find their shop downtown. Thankfully I did, because I'm very happy with the necklace and bracelet I bought.
