small place, but great people and beautiful jewelry and great customer service I was talking to one of the people in there. He was very helpful and I don't think they overpriced at all and he said he would resize the ring if need be read more

This place was awesome! Came in to get my engagement ring resized and it was such a good price I ended getting my other ring resized while I was there! Both rings were done within 20 minutes. Definitely coming back!! read more

The service is unmatched and the craftsmanship is great. I will return her for any resizing needs.

This is by far the best deal on jewelry restorations/alterations in the greater Austin area! To back up a bit, I was looking for someone to restore and likely resize an old ring that's been in my mother's family since around 1919. I got estimates from basically every other jewelry store in town, but Austin Jewelry Creations offered by far the cheapest and speediest option. Not only did he get the job done at a fraction of the cost and time estimated by other retailers, he did a grade-A job. Just look at the pictures if you need proof! I'm no jeweler, but I'm guessing that providing a new shank for an aged, white gold ring while still maintaining all the original character and design is no easy task. This guy makes it seem like a piece of cake. I will recommend him until I lose my voice! read more

Had to have my Wife's wedding ring fixed. A small diamond fell out due to a crack in the gold. Willie, the gentleman who took this business over from the previous owner is just terrific. Explained everything completely. Called with a very reasonable price as promised. Fixed and polished the ring so it looks better than it ever did. Why can't it always be like this? Highly recommended. read more

I was looking for a jeweler who would resize a sterling silver ring for me... As it turns out, it's not very popular to resize sterling and I had to ask around for a shop that would do it. A fellow Yelper told me about Gold Creations, so that's where I went. It's a little mom-and-pop store off of S. Lamar and it looks like the owners also live on the property. It's a bit weird having to ring the doorbell when the shop's sign clearly says "OPEN" but if they're living there then it makes sense that they wouldn't want any random person wandering in. The resizing took a little longer than I liked -- brought it in Wednesday, got it back Saturday -- but the workmanship was exquisite. The ring had all sorts of little squiggly designs made out of sterling silver wire on the sides, and I thought for sure there'd be a seam where the ring was taken in, but it's BARELY visible and only there if you're really hunting for it. The price was also incredibly reasonable ($15 + tax) for the resize. I feel like it was money very well spent. I am very happy and would recommend that you take your business to this place! read more

In the meantime having a bad experience with Caleesi Designs (See my other review) I've discovered this place - thanks to Yelp reviews. Willie is extremely friendly. I bring him a sterling silver ring to downsize, it cost me $15 and I had it back 2 days after. The job was very well made and each time it has been a pleasure to feel welcome and have a little talk with him. I'm glad I've found Willie and I'll do business with him in the future for sure. read more

Linda is amazing! I took my engagement ring to get reset. It is my fiancé's Grandmother's 25 anniversary ring. I needed to flip the setting and make the band much smaller. Linda was so great about knowing my vision and keeping the integrity of the ring. Since we made the band so much smaller we were able to use the leftover gold for my wedding band. Both fit great together and my engagement ring is perfect! Very very very fair priced for the great quality work. We will be back soon to get my fiancé's ring made. read more

Incredible! Willie did an amazing job. I went to see him with my great grandmother's wedding ring that I wanted to make into a middle finger (non wedding) ring. I also wanted to add some birthstones of other members of my family. Willie came up with this custom piece idea using the same gold (plus a little more) from the original band and created this beautiful twist setting. The whole thing was finished in about a week. Willie is truly talented and you can trust that any idea or custom piece will come out perfect! read more

My wedding ring needed some fixing and I was so glad I found him! He was so friendly, quick, and my ring looks better than ever!

Willie is extremely nice and accommodating. He encountered a slight hiccup while resizing my rose gold plated ring and he was still able to get the job done and make it right. You can trust him to do a good job! read more

Guy is a solid person who knows what he is doing, his prices are the best you'll find here in Austin. I have had two rope chain brackets created out of a second rope chain necklace I had been gifts. He has now repaired my thin rope chain necklace as well. (Can't beat the prices) I searched all over Austin to find a reasonably priced repair shop and this was the only place I could find with reasonable pricing, clean environment, and fast service. Even was willing to help during a pandemic although he was closed. Does watch repair as well. This guy is friendly and can do it all! read more

My husband had my engagement ring made at Gold Creations back in 2004. He took them the diamond from his grandmother's wedding ring and a drawing that he'd made of what he wanted the ring to look like. He wanted to have something made because he wanted the ring to have rubies (my birthstone) and it's almost impossible to find rubies with white gold. It turns out that the ring wouldn't have been very sturdy the way he drew it (he's not a jewelry designer or anything). They showed him a design that was similar and worked with him to modify it a bit to get the look he was going for. They also modified it to add the settings for the rubies. Of course when it was time to get my wedding band, we went back and had them make a band to match the engagement ring. Again, I took in my own diamonds from various pieces of family jewelry. I would 100% trust them with any family pieces that I have. After having two kids, my ring is just a little bit too snug, so I will definitely be taking it to Gold Creations to resize. read more

I have definitely found a new go-to jeweler! I wanted to create a special gift for my daughter's 21st birthday utilizing a diamond that was a gift from my husband to me in my original engagement ring. I had a photo of a necklace and Willie was able to recreate it exactly! It was precisely what I had imagined and the workmanship was impeccable. The icing on the cake was the extremely fair and reasonable price, and Willie's professionalism. He was a joy to work with, and was able to get it done on time as promised. The finished product is so beautiful. Thanks so much, Willie! read more

I love Austin Jewelry Creations!! Willie is by far the sweetest, most professional man I've met in awhile. I got engaged a few days ago and the woman that sized me elsewhere got it wrong. I had to get my ring resized and Willie came to my rescue. He showed me that i was actually in between sizes and happen to have it done within 24 hours. My ring was also engraved so I was nervous about someone ruining the inscription. Somehow Willie managed to not only keep everything in tact but keep it centered! He's like a jewelry wizard. :) I will definitely be back! This is officially my go-to place! read more

Ok, so Linda was amazing! I had to resize my engagement ring (YAY! :D) and she was able to provide a 24 hour turn around because of my very obvious separation anxiety. :) When the jeweler gave her trouble, she drove 45 minutes one way just to pick up my ring and deliver it as promised. She still charged me the same, very reasonable, amount and graciously took my hug as I left. Since the band is platinum, the sizing does show a little bit, but it's on the bottom of the band and so not extremely visible. All in all, highly recommended! read more

My fiancee and I had a couple things made here. We first brought in a diamond we had acquired from family, and had my engagement ring made from it. Linda had great suggestions about the setting, band, and over all design. What amazed me was that she really worked with us to help us design a ring that would be within our budget. Before we came to Gold Creations, we had looked at a few other jewelers in town, thinking that it would be less expensive to buy a pre-made setting rather than to have a custom ring made. Surprisingly, this was NOT the case. In addition to it being a more affordable option, Linda was wonderful to work with, unlike the feel of the other jewelers, where it was obvious they only wanted to make a huge margin of profit. Next, we decided to have them make my fiancee's wedding band there. It came out beautiful as well, and the hammered finish that we wanted came out stunning. The quality of their work is phenomenal and flawless. My engagement ring only took 5 days to make, and the wedding band only a couple of weeks. I was so impressed with this place I decided to finally write my first Yelp review ever. read more

Willie is the nicest guy in the world, does good work and has very reasonable prices. I dropped an amethyst and diamond bracelet - he replaced the amethyst, shined the whole thing and tightened all the fittings. He has replaced a watch battery while we wait, and also a bulk order of replacements. It's great to find an independent craftsman who cares about his work. read more

I would like to request a refund again. Now the ring is no longer a circle! I have an office job and do not do anything strenuous so there is NO REASON for the ring to have become misshapen in this way. This has been SOOOOOO frustrating considering the amount of money I spent on this ring and the fact it is not even two years old. It is incredible that you will not stand behind your product and give me a refund. read more

My wife lost her diamond on her wedding ring. We purchased one online and took it to GC. Linda assured us we got a very good deal on the diamond and was not upset at all that we purchased it elsewhere. She then reset our much larger diamond on my wife's 25 year old ring and it looks amazing. She is a sweet lady and a pleasure to do business with. MOST IMPORTANT, they do not sublet or send your jewelry off. They actually repair it. Ask other jewelers if they do the repairs in house. 98% send your stuff off and are just middle men. I recently got engaged in the Dominican and my fiance wanted us to have the ring custom made here. This shop has been in business since the 70's and he has been there before to have a necklace made for me. It's Mom and Pop all the way. As a mater of fact when we asked if the ring could be done by 3/19/10 the actually date we are going to be married next year, she confessed that happened to be their 44th wedding anniversary. We opted for an emerald and garnet white gold ring, neither of us being a fan of the diamond trade. It came out beautiful. Expect great customer service, an Austin tradition and probably a few laughs from Linda and her Louisiana drawl. For all you men looking for something nice for your gal, I highly encourage you to go see Linda. read more

I work for a local jewelry design company and we take all of our repairs here. Linda, the owner, is very nice and fun to chat with -- an added bonus! She is also more than fair on pricing. If we are ever unsatisfied with a repair, she is more than happy to take it back and change it for no extra charge. Since we don't actually design jewelry, I recommend everyone to go here if they want something created with loose stones or older/ outdated jewelry they may have. read more

I just moved to Austin and got engaged. I had two old rings from my family that I wanted to melt down and create 2 alternate rings for myself and my fiance. Willie was able to do this for us and also do a custom engraving on each ring. They look wonderful and his above and beyond service was refreshing! You don't get that type of personality and caring most places now-a-days. I would recommend going here for any jewelry related needs. Cost efficient too! read more

Linda has designed and created two rings for us. The first was a couple years ago when my wife wanted a new band for our second child added to a Mother's Ring from our first child. The original ring had a cross of stones that stuck out, she expertly designed a complementary ring to curve around and under the cross. My wife loved the result. Last year for our 5th anniversary I needed to replace the inexpensive engagement ring she no longer wore with a new design she would love. She showed me a picture of an R2-D2 inspired ring, hint, hint, hint. I secretly took the picture and some other pictures of R2-D2 for inspiration. Linda created a design that is fashionable and reminiscent of the droid. My wife was VERY surprised and loves her new ring. No doubt we'll be back next time we need any jewelry! read more

Willie is the nicest, sweetest guy my husband and I have ever met. We actually got lost finding the place and arrived as he was packed and locking up. We told him we would come back the following day, but he insisted and reopened for us. Then we brought in our old wedding rings for repair and resizing, he did it over night!...the work was exception. Thank you Willie for being a man I can trust in this crazy world...you ROCK!!! read more

Willie is so great! He replaced a stone in my wedding ring for a VERY reasonable price and had it ready the next day. Then, he saved me a trip to the ER by cutting off a ring that's been stuck on my finger for a month--he's currently putting the thing back together and resizing it for me. Several months ago he also sized down my husband's meteorite and titanium wedding ring, which, according to our google research, was supposed to be impossible! He figured out a way to inlay a silver band on the inside of the ring, so it looked exactly the same on the outside and fit much better. Again, for a reasonable price. Incidentally, he's also one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. read more

I have had earring made into necklaces and vintage clip-on earrings made pierced and the work was done quickly and for less than I expected to pay. I'm so happy with my new jewels. I had a very tough time finding someone to do a custom wedding band using the actual gold from my mothers wedding band. Other jewelers wanted to take the gold as "credit" and basically give me a band with gold they had on hand. I was regularly quoted prices over $2,000 for this custom job because they did not want the hassle. Gold creations got this done for less than 1/10th the price, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I sized it a little large, but they resized for free. I would not waste your time with box retail jewelry stores, this place has got you covered. Pros: central location, excellent quality, excellent prices, friendly staff Cons: The hours are a little weird, just check the website before you go. Again this is not Zales at the mall, so you can't show up on any day and expect them to be open. read more

I've dealt with Linda and her late husband Tommy for near twenty years. As with any successful person there's always someone behind the scene and that person was Willie. I can't recommend this place enough. I needed to get my engagement ring resized, and Willie was able to do it in half the amount of time (and for half the price) that I was quoted at a chain jewelry company. Super friendly. Came in for a watch battery and learned all about Austin and the good old days. Glad to find this gem of a place.

Gold Creations is pure gold! I received an antique, sterling silver ring with onyx, turquoise and malachite stones. It needed cleaning and I wanted it enlarged just slightly. I don't know anything about jewelry and generally don't like to wear anything on my hands, not even my wedding band. So after a bad experience at the FastFix in the mall where they tried to charge me $172.00 for this work, my good friend told me about Gold Creations. Gold Creations was night and day different from the FastFix. The clerk here was so friendly and knowledgeable. I described what I wanted and after taking measurements we agreed that maybe all i needed was to to have the edges of the ring smoothed. I left the ring. The store does have odd hours so the work was done in a couple of days but I finally picked it up about a week later. The ring was beautifully polished and the clerk was right! Now with the smooth edges the ring fits perfectly and she charged me only $15 for the work. I can't say enough how much nicer it was and of course more affordable to have my ring worked on at Gold Creations. I'll definitely spread the work and bring any other work to them. read more
