Great Peruvian food in Beaverton?? It's about time! If you get hit with a craving for some Lomo Saltado, fried Yuca, and Inca Kola - This restaurant is for you. Tonight we tried the lomo, 1/2 pollo a la brasa, an alfajor and the arroz con leche. The prices are a bit high for Beaverton (Around $14/plate for dinner), but man....everything was DELICIOUS, so will gladly pay. The beef in the Lomo was high quality and really tender, complimented nicely with perfectly cooked fries. The pollo a la brasa could be the best in Portland - Extremely flavorful and juicy. Decided to grab take out one night. We ordered saltado de pollo and arroz de mariscos. Food was done on time, counter service was quick and courteous. We visited Lima Peruvian Restaurant on a Saturday for lunch. It was moderately busy. About half of the tables were occupied. We were seated immediately and given menus. After ordering, we received our drinks and bread with a couple of spicy dipping sauces. A short while later, our food arrived. I ordered the lomo saltado and my husband had the milanesa de carne. Both were very good. I really enjoyed the flavor of my lomo saltado. The portion size was huge. It was easily enough food for 2 meals. It's not quite Andina status but still very good and much better portion size for a comparable price. I plan to return another time. One thing to know ahead of time is they only take cash or debit card so make sure you bring at least one of those with you. 4 stars. read more

As always when trying out some place for la primera vez, my expectations were low to nil, coming into Lima. Very pleased to report that La comida here was surprisingly good, and the venue, surprisingly under-populated by patrons. Granted, we arrived there @ 11am sharp on a weekday, right at opening, and the place slowly filled from thence. They could certainly use a more conspicuous sign out front... everyone in my party was confused and uncertain: "Is this the place?" etc Very easy to drive by, even slowly, and miss, even though the edifice proper is entirely visible from SW Allen. Now, on to las noticias muy buenas. Everybody LOVED the bistec lomo.. and their marisocos refoooze to looze, yo! From the ceviche appertivos to the crowning feature of the meal, the MACHO pescado, this was an outstanding dining experience. Easily the best of the Brand New Year. Our server was muy agradable, and played "humor the fools" w/expert facilty. Some in our group were somewhat aghast at the prices @ Lima, but considering they ate entirely for free (ie, on someone else's dime), I don't see why such objections need to be taken literally, let alone, seriously. Tucked into suburban quasi- obscurity, Lima delivers and is worthy at a shot at the Heavyweight Title (patent pending, all rights reserved). This was our second outing to this Peruvian restaurant. Our first was maybe over a year ago because we live quite a distance away and seldom come this way. My first meal here was the Arroz Chaufa con mariscos (Chinese fried rice with seafood). It was good, but did not bowl me over. Nonetheless, it was good enough for my wife and me with our grown son to return. This trip was absolutely delightful. I had the chicharron de pollo (fried chicken); my wife had pollo de brasa (roasted chicken); my son had the limo salted (beef stew with fries); we ordered a side of fried plantains. The only disappointment was the plantains. But the 3 entrees were all very large portions, very tasty, and supremely satisfying. The restaurant combined the side salads and french fries of the 3 orders into one large serving of each. My fried chicken was piping hot, nicely crisped, and very lightly crusted. My wife ordered a whole roast chicken in order to assure some leftovers, and, boy did we have leftovers. After the salad, plantains, and french fries, my wife and I struggled to eat our entrees. We decided to attack the crispy fried chicken and save as much of the roast chicken for later. All we could eat of the roast chicken was one leg. My son devoured his entire meal. All I got was a tiny morsel of beef which was tender and rich in flavor. We will not wait a whole year for our next visit to Lima Restaurant. Maybe next week? read more

Thanks to my husband for turning me onto Peruvian cuisine (as he is Peruvian), and he says this tastes like home. The food is SO so delicious. The anticuchos are divine - so tender, juicy, and the marinade is so good you don't want to waste it. Seco de carne is delicious. Ají de gallina is my favorite comfort food. Lomo saltado is another comfort food and oh so delicious. If I could order everything at once, I would. Hell yes folks!! I have been to the fancy Peruvian restaurants and some mediocre ones, but I always believe that the small hole in the wall places are so much more authentic. Don't get me wrong I love a modern, new age twist in classic recipes, but there are some things that are not as satisfying to the palette as authentic flavors in authentic classic recipes. But this place hit the spot for sure! I loved it and I didn't even realize that after coming here it was very popular. There is a bit of wait since it is a small place, but it worth it! I had lots of Peruvian food in Santiago, when I lived there. It's the most authentic Peruvian place I've been to so far. I had the ceviche mixto (great) and inca kola which is amazing. This place is great! If your ever in the area of Beaverton and love Peruvian food you must try this place. A lot of good choices, however you have to get the lomo saltado and the purple corn drink. Somgood and the meat was tender. The rice was soft and a good addition to the meats sauce. The fries were crispy and you can add an egg. We were service was excellent, the food was served fast. I had the rotisserie chicken with salad and fries. The chicken was cooked perfectly, juicy while falling off the bones. My husband had the Bistek a la chorillana. He loved the tomatoes and onions and this is someone who does not voluntarily eat veggies. The food was fantastic, the walls were painted murals, which I love. The prices were affordable for the quality and quantity of food. This is a hidden gem. We started with the ceviche, so tasty with a hint of heat. So, I'll warn you now, this ain't your grandma's bland food, unless she came from Peru! My sister had the creamy seafood soup, which was more like a stew; with super flavors! My boyfriend had the steak and rice dish which he compared to carnitas on steroids.
