Peruvian fried rice? Count me in I was in the Linc for a calligraphy class and worked up an appetite. I saw this restaurant and decided to check it out. My waitress was friendly and the atmosphere was very casual. I decided to take a chance and get the Peruvian fried rice. My rice had chicken and shrimp. They gave me soy sauce and a spicy sauce. I didn't use the spicy sauce and one pack of soy sauce was enough. This rice was so good and flavorful. I wish I had more shrimp! Overall my experience was good and I could see myself going back !

I don't think there's a lot of Peruvian restaurants in the Austin Metro area. I tried Lima Criolla during my visit to Austin. It helped quench my ceviche craving. Being Peruvian, I get these cravings often and I like to try different spots during my different trips throughout the year. Service was really kind. And they also gave us some small complimentary pastries to go. Their menu is pretty big and their inside seating space is also pretty large.

The service here is wonderful . The server Denise is wonderful,. She is so helpful. It's her birthday and she is still so helpful. She remembered I always get the guava soda here. We ordered papa rellena and tacu tacu limeno,. Every time I come no matter how crowded it is, Denise and the others go out of their way to be helpful. Suzanna the owner is very sweet. We did a survey and got a free caramel cookie. It was delicious. We were celebrating our anniversary and Suzanna asked if we got a free dessert. I took my husband here . It was his first time. We will be back.

It was Amy first time here and overall it's a good experience. It was not too crowded and there was aplenty of space. We went here for lunch. Ceviche was really good with great contrast of citrusy and earthy flavors. I good option for when you're craving something somewhat light and refreshing. We also had Tallarin Verde. I've never had such dis before and I was pleasantly surprised! I wished the steak was available at custom temperature though. The non-alcoholic drinks were worth trying. I had Maracuya which was pretty sweet and tropical and my boyfriend had Chicha Morada which somewhat tasted like Christmas in a cup (I'd add some rum to it probably)

Over the years that I've dined here, "Lima Corolla" has certainly raised the bar and continue to improve on service, quality and taste of their meals. I've reviewed them a few times and we've hit some peaks and valleys. But since the expansion repurposed space the did by moving the bar to the center of the restaurant, they have earned five stars in my book. They started a new "Tour of Peru" menu by combining several Peruvian dining favorites. One in particular, they combined the Peruvian Fried Rice(chafa) and their "Lomo Saltado", into an amazing combo dish. I have always ordered this separately and I'm so glad they made this a menu item. So if you love Peruvian food or have never tried it, come on down and take the culinary tour of deliciousness at Lima Criolla, you won't be disappointed. Michael C. - Georgetown, Tx.

This was my very first time trying a Peruvian restaurant in Austin and it was totally worth it! The food was super tasty and full of flavor. The star for me was the ceviche mixto and the causa de pollo, both were amazing so delicious. I also had a chicha morada and it was really good. My friends loved the arroz con mariscos and the chupe de la limeña, you can't go wrong with the seafood here, everything was delicious! The place itself is cozy, with seating both inside and outside and it has a nice vibe. Service was okay our server felt a bit distant also it took a bit of time for our food to come out, but overall everything the food definitely made up for it.

Good spot a few times I've been. It looks like they recently remodeled and there is more space inside now. Can't go wrong with the food here. Some of the non alcoholic drinks are also worth getting.

Casual spot with a pretty big parking lot (although the spots are kind of small and annoying) and no wait on a Monday evening! The pricing isn't too bad and the portion sizes are nothing to complain about. And the workers are pretty friendly. We got Carapulcra - Not the prettiest looking dish but still really good! The thick stewy potatoes were so delicious alongside the rice. I think it was supposed to be garlic rice but looked and tasted like plain rice to me. The pork was good too, but I wish it was a little more tender and juicy. It was a little too dry for me. 1/2 Polla a la Brasa - the chicken was so juicy, I would definitely recommend this dish. I love that it comes with several sauces: rocoto, aji pollero, mayo, and vinaigrette dressing for the salad. (And also glad it came with salad because it was nice to have some light veggies along with everything else.) And the fries were also really good but fries are almost always really good.

I recommend this spot, because it's the closest authentic Peruvian food in Austin. I've had better, but they satisfy my Lomo Saltado and Chicha Morada cravings.

My friend and I both enjoyed what we ordered here. She had been once before and suggested we go. I got the chicken plate that comes with salad & fries, and she got a steak, rice, and fries plate. Came with plenty of different sauces to try. Good prices. Quick and friendly service, inside and outside seating, vast menu. I would return!

My favorite local restaurant. It's affordable, I can always get a table, and it's super casual. And service is prompt. Drinks are always tasty. This time I tried the tamal. It was big, a little dry but had a great flavor. Empanada was a different than I expected. The dough was sweet and it had boiled egg inside.

The seafood soup is so flavorful and has every kind of seafood you can imagine. The fried catfish fillet is the best. Much try this place.

I came here on a weekday evening for dinner for 2 people. It was a later dinner so there was plenty of open seating when we went. As far as the service, it is good but it was a bit on the slower side. If you're in a rush, I might go somewhere else or let them know ahead of time. We weren't so it wasn't an inconvenience. It also looks like they're planning on adding more space to be able to fit more tables soon. The chicha morada was very good. As an appetizer, we got the papa rellena. I appreciated the good amount of meat inside the potato and also the sauce that went with it. For my entree, I ordered the Aji de Gallina. The sauce with the chicken was very tasty and creamy. My husband ordered the Lomo Saltado and he enjoyed the flavor but he mentioned the beef was a little tough. He learned after the fact that on the menu there is an option to upgrade your beef for an upcharge. The menu has a variety of dishes that were appealing. I would like to return to try the ceviche and a few other dishes that caught my eye!

However, upon opening the front door I was met with beautiful fine dining ambience: exotic ceramic-tiled walls, cherry-finished wicker furniture cushioned with satin pillows, and of course the enormous golden cherub statue in the center of the room which delicately sprayed chicken tortilla soup into the Venice-like channels that crosshatched the restaurant. A hostess in a gondola rowed us to our table singing a song in another language (maybe Italian?) before letting us know that the Soup Man would be with us shortly as he was very busy today. The warning was unwarranted though, as the Soup Man shortly thereafter appeared at our table addressing, us by name and apologizing that the hostess didn't realize what esteemed guests we were. Bashfully I stammered that he must have me confused with someone else as I'd never been to this establishment before, but he softly shook his head and with a smile said, "I know all who live within this city." and pulled a steaming bowl of turkish wedding soup (my favorite!) from behind my ear as if to prove his point. Overall it was a wonderful experience! I am docking it one star because they were out of oyster crackers to crumble on my soup. Will be back!

They also let you spin a wheel for a prize which was fun. Parking can be difficult during rush hour so I recommend ordering for take out. My parents bought an 8 oz cup of the chicken soup with rice. My only complaint and why this isn't a five star review is because they pretty much had one person making coffee and taking/delivering orders. There were two other employees there while this was happening, but one guy was on his phone until he saw the entire line looking at him before he skulked off to the back and another person washing pans. She was busy but when she finished, she just stared at the line and then walked to the back as well. I get people may not be trained for every job, but this poor girl getting slammed and doing everything herself needed help. At least pretend to ask. An older gentleman walked in and went behind the counter, surveyed the line, checked a pastry fridge to make sure that it was stocked up, went to back briefly and walked out. No one ever helped the poor girl at the front counter. Food is amazing, but you may be waiting quite a while to order if they keep this up. Will we return....heck yes. I just hope they get the front area more help.

The bowl itself came loaded with meat--they definitely weren't skimping to save money here. The meat-to-noodle ratio felt great, and every bite actually had substance instead of leaving me fishing around for toppings. As for the broth, I landed somewhere in the middle. It wasn't quite as clear or light as I personally prefer, leaning toward a fattier, milkier undertone that almost reminded me of a Vietnamese pho take on tonkotsu. The flavor itself was undeniably very good, but the richness may have been a bit too much for me personally. One way I usually judge how much I love a pho broth is whether I want to sip the bowl down to the very end, and this one wasn't quite light enough for me to want to do that. I've had richer and deeper pho flavors elsewhere, but I still appreciated the flavor profile here and could absolutely see why this place is so popular. It feels hearty, comforting, and satisfying in a way that clearly resonates with many people. Despite how packed the restaurant was, the atmosphere ended up being surprisingly pleasant. Service moved very quickly, which honestly impressed me given how busy everything felt. Even with the crowd, I didn't dislike the spacing or setup at all--the restaurant still felt comfortable, and the sound of people enjoying their food all around added to the lively, welcoming energy rather than making it feel overwhelming. Overall, Pho Phong Lưu ended up being one of those places where I completely understood the hype, even if it didn't become my personal favorite pho spot. While the broth leaned richer than my preference, I still enjoyed the experience and definitely look forward to trying other dishes next time.

We appreciate you giving us a try and hope to provide a better experience in the future. Warm regards, Wes Brown It's great to receive a response from the business manager regarding our experience at their restaurant, but all four us thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. We had absolutely no complaints regarding our dining experience. Caroline is affiliated with the Marriott Element and Aloft hotels and that, I believe, where the affiliation ends. I try to avoid hotel eateries but I've had great dining experiences at hotels like the JW Marriott in Austin. We, four, stopped by on a Sunday AM for breakfast and we had a great time. They do have brunch cocktails available and their bloody Mary's were deemed excellent with just the right amount of spice. My bloody Maria was on point and we all got our Sunday Funday started. Breakfast was wonderful. Our eggs arrived cooked perfectly. The pepper bacon and real potato sides were off the charts delicious.
