Tamal de pollo delicioso

Food amazing! Service wonderful by Lily ambiance, cozy, and clean we will be back soon.

Corey D.

Interior is a little dated, but the service was really good. For a basic breakfast it's not bad, everything was average, nothing specifically worth remembering. I will say they offer a great selection of authentic Guatemalan cuisine.

A delicious Guatemalan dish.
Maria M.

Food was very delicious. I ordered a Guatemalan dish, eggs and chorizo with black beans.

Tamale

The food was amazing! The service was perfect. We got the chicken tamale for an appetizer, taste so good. My main dish was the Ribeye Skillet with pumpkin pancakes on the side. The skillet was cooked perfectly on a hot skillet plate. Pancakes from scratch! Perfect cozy little restaurant in Plano. First time here and I'm 100% coming back to try another dish. Easily will be the go to brunch spot.

Veggie skillet

Got the veggie skillet, sooo delicious, portions are generous, not idea what brand of coffee they use but the aroma and flavor so rich and creamy

Tamal Con Elote

This place is not marketed properly. It's marketed as a breakfast/brunch spot but it's more like a Mexican Restaurant that happens to serve food at breakfast time. The atmosphere was not uplifting like a breakfast spot should be, it was drab and empty (there were hardly any other patrons dining). The service was friendly but that's about the only good thing here. The food was not very good. My Dad thought his Breakfast Tacos were just okay. My Tamal Con Elote was incredibly dry and bland (no filling or sauce, just a bland and cold queso dip on the side). This place doesn't even serve Iced Coffee or Dairy-Free Options. Considering I had to go to Scooters' afterwards to grab a coffee, and I left starving, I won't be back.

West Coast Benedict. Fantastic.

After the owner replied to me imploring me to give them another try, I returned. Twice! Still excellent food. I once again had the plate with Guatemalan chorizo with peppers and onions, queso fresco, Guatemalan cream, black beans, homemade tortillas, eggs, and avocado. Amazing. I also tried the Mexican style chorizo and eggs, black beans, with potatoes requested crispy and YES they did them right. Mom tried a Very Berry Cinnamon French Toast combo (yum) and a West Coast Benedict - excellent benedict sauce and gorgeous avocado and eggs. Everything so good. And these other two times the service was outstanding. No issues with wait times, attentiveness, or forgetting what we needed. This is definitely going to be a regular brunch spot with mom.

Café

Lilys was SO delicious. We tried their tamale, the steak skillet, carne con huevos, and the pumpkin pancakes (not pictured). Everything had so much flavor, served fresh. The cafe is also very cute inside. Will definitely be back.

Big breakfast scrambler
Goodness I.

I love this place and the food is so good! It's very unassuming inside and out. I'd come back for sure. First time I came here I had breakfast food and this time I chose other items.

Our new favorite local place for brunch! I've tried several things on the menu but my fav is the Swiss Avocado Omelette!

Huge menu with tons of selections. Recommend the Breakfast and brunch! Kind of a hidden gem - but give it a try! Open 6 am to 3 pm.

Incredible tacos at a reasonable price, especially considering how much meat they put on these…read moretacos! Every order is served on a little tray with chopped onion and cilantro on the side along with a little cup of charro beans. I've had the trompo (al pastor), barbacoa, and carne asada, and they were all incredible and VERY generous on the meat. Elote was decent and (as a fun fact) they have a self serve sauce and cheeto/takis dust area that you can top it off with. The restaurant is directly connected to a dessert shop with an expansive dessert menu and freezers full of $1.50 paletas (I suggest the rice flavor - kind of like a horchata on a stick).

Very bad experience. Ordered togo for my family figuring I had plenty of time to get home before…read morethey arrived. I had written down the order details of what everyone wanted so as to not make a mistake. When ordering, the service person kept repeating back something different from what I was saying. There was a line forming and I couldn't make him take the order faster. When ordering large amounts of food I price out the approx total plus sales tax of that city. The person at the register said that I owed $15 more than the figure I had approximated. When I asked for them to clear the order and put it in again, they became quite nasty about having to do it again. After another employee came and cleared out the order, and it was reentered into the register it had dropped down to being $4 over my estimate. I went ahead and paid just to get my food and go. They said that they were out of receipt paper for the register so I didn't get one. The place was packed so I stood off to the side and waited. And waited. The tables were constantly filled with trash left on them and scattered across the floor. A person would come out from back and remove the trash from the tables, but then wipe them with a dirty looking towel. The floor was never addressed. After 35 minutes I inquired about my order. They said that since it was a big order it was taking time to fill. I went back to waiting. Several Hispanic families that ordered after I had placed my order had gotten their food and were either finishing up or had already left. Must of their food was the same as what I had ordered. After two more inquiries about my order, it was finally delivered after waiting for over an hour. Although I am not totally fluent in Spanish, I know enough when people are talking about me and not in a favorable way. Got home after everyone else had arrived and began sorting out the individual orders. Out of 6 orders, 5 were either wrong or were missing an item. I don't know which was worse, the food being cold, the items swimming in grease (which had congealed), or the burnt and/or gristle rich tortillas and meats. I thought that this place would be great after several people who go there regularly had recommended it, but this was a waste of money and a disaster of food quality. Never again.

This visit did not disappoint me. The tacos were delicious and flavorful. I also tried some recommended favorites of friends. The Lobster and Shrimp Taco was amazing. It was well seasoned and the scampi sauce was finger licking good! It was delightful and delectable bite. The Philly Cheesesteak was loaded with peppers, onions and lots of meat. It was a great tasting and fun taco. The Spicy Mango Margarita on happy hour was perfect. It had a nice kick and the tajin rim was the perfect touch. The ambiance is so cool for tacos. It's just the cutest place. A happy and colorful restaurant. It was clean, cozy and comfortable. Service was good the waiter was pleasant. I took my mom with me and she enjoyed herself. I left feeling happy, full and SATISFIED! I think places deserve second chances. I can say it lived up to the hype and exceeded my expectations. It was an incredible experience and excellent visit.

This one was hard to rate 4 stars for food…read more3 for service and cost On the one hand the interior is beautiful, stunning and so fun. The menu has so many tasty offerings and the food was delicious. However, the prices are, in my opinion, steep for street size food. My Mahi Mahi taco was delicious, but it was small. I was still hungry and could have easily ordered a second or even third taco BUT at $11 for one taco that was too steep for lunch. Instead, Dani and I PAID to split chips + salsa - not free, but a paid appetizer. Our server was so quiet we had trouble hearing him and he mostly left us to ourselves, occasionally dropping by to fill waters. Dream Tacos has excellent food, but the portion sizes and cost are far too steep for this area and for being a taco joint. Sadly, I don't think they will last at these ptoces in this location.
