Right when I walked in the door, it smelled like grease trap or sewage. The guy who took my order was nice and professional. I placed a to go order of the sesame chicken, rare steak pho, and the pork spring rolls. It was about 30 min to close, order took about 15 to make. The sesame chicken was good. lt had a good chicken flavor that was seasoned well. The coating was the perfect amount of crispy and the sauce was the right amount of sweet without being too much. The Pho was okay. The hoisin sauce and the sriracha were in the same container and there was only one tiny cup of it. The veggies, noodles and beef seemed pretty fresh. The beef was a little bloody so that threw me off a bit but I boiled the broth when I got home and pored it over all the vegetables. It was tender and not to hard. The broth wasn't bad but I felt like it needed something. Lastly, the pork spring rolls, terrible. The peanut sauce seemed watered down. There wasn't a strong peanut flavor that I'm used to. The ratio of noodles, lettuce and pork were very unbalanced. And the pork was extremely dry. It did not seem to of been seasoned well and was over cooked. So for once I was not the hungover person but rather Alfie was and I suggested pho as naturally it helps with the hangovers and now that we are in the full swing of fall I've been craving some soup!! Now as I was a vegetarian for quite some time, tofu Pho had always been my go too, but now that I am in full swing carnivore mode I decided to try something different. I ordered Alfie the P7 Well done Brisket and Flank and P15 Well done flank for myself. And of course my favorite Vietnamese egg rolls as an app and a cacao boba smoothie. We went to pick the order up and it was ready waiting 10 min before it was supposed to be that was nice. Luckily I checked the order (it was in a big box) because they tried to forget my boba smoothie. Luckily I just let him know and we, like the heathens we are, ate our egg rolls as we waited. They were delicious; the perfect texture and crispiness. I looove those things so much haha. We got home finally and unpacked our soups and were a little let down at a) the amount of meat they give, it was pretty sparse and b) the fattiness of the meat. By the Time we picked all the gelatinous fat off the meat there was not much left from an already small portion. Another thing was that Alfie was supposed to have two meats (brisket and flank) but it looked to be the exact same as what I ordered (just flank) so that was interesting. But upon tasting the broth i thought It was pretty damn good and tasty. And when I got some of the few pieces of meat that was pretty tasty too, I just wished there was more. I would probably order double meat next time. I will definitely order from them again as it was pretty damn tasty and flavorful, however what I mentioned is the reason for the 4 instead of 5 star review. read more

Such slow service, ordered Togo and it took over an hour for the food to be ready when it wasn't even busy inside, would not eat or order from here again to say the least. Manager up front just kept lying saying it would be up in a couple minutes but sure enough 10 minutes later still there, 20 minutes, etc. there's an over abundance of pho places already, support a different one that actually tries. Pho was sub par, broth was not great, this place had meatball slivers, some too small to grab with chopsticks, the fried egg rolls were good but they say six rolls come with it for $10, it's really three just cut in half, so not a good deal. Just finished eating here at 1:30. Only one other person was in the restaurant. Took him about 5 minutes just to bring menu. We ordered cashew chicken on the lunch menu. There was one cashew and lots of broccoli. Not very good either and the egg roll was truly disgusting. I couldn't even leave it in my mouth. The only reason I gave this a 2 is that my Pad Thai was good , just weird as everything was separate even a fried egg on top. Never got or drinks either and waiter never came over to see if everything was okay. They add a 15% tip to the bill. A last minute lunch choice lead my Mom and me to Saigon Pho Grill after flower shopping nearby. First impressions were a little meh, the interior is one giant room with old and worn booths around the exterior and banquet tables in the middle with little to no décor to speak of. The lunch menu is also limited, if you don't want Pho your choices will be limited to a noodle or rice bowl. I ordered the Combination Noodle Bowl with pork, chicken, and shrimp and a Mango Boba. The food arrived and it was just average; the sauce to be poured over the noodle bowl was warm, bland and unappetizing. The veggies in my noodle bowl were not fresh, the lettuce had brown edges and the cucumber was limp. It was edible, but nothing close to the quality you receive from the places on Federal. Service was slow, the only time our server showed up was to take our order, drop off food, or bring the bill. In addition, our Boba drinks arrived at the end of our meal even though we ordered them when we first sat down. I didn't want mine to go, I wanted to enjoy it with my lunch. It was a mediocre experience and based on first impressions I'm not returning. I'll stick to Saigon Bowl for my Vietnamese cravings for now. read more

ALWAYS TASTE THE BROTH ON PHO before you put anything in your bowl. The broth was a 3 out of 10 which is exactly how the Bowl #11 tastes, a 3. The broth wasn't strong and tasted watered down. There was no smell of any of the seasonings in it. The meat was so so. The condiments was like 4-5 slices of jalapeño but the bean sprouts and such was plentiful. I've tried numerous pho places, and I must say this place remains top on my list. The service is always friendly and quick, and the food is delicious (including the non-pho items). As many pho lovers know, the broth is what matters most. And must I say, this place never fails to satisfy. The broth is savory, well-developed in its spices, and not oily/greasy at all! (The oily slick on the lips is a big turn-off I've had at other pho places.) Don't be fooled though, because the broth is still very hearty and satisfying. They give a generous serving of toppings too, and are never shy to give more if you ask. (When I go with friends, we tend to gobble up the bean sprouts.) One of my favorite experiences was getting to chat with one of the waiters. He was so friendly and enthusiastic. He was so kind to also let us know a little about him, i.e. where his hometown was in Vietnam, when he moved to the States, and how he ended up in Denver. He even pointed out the significance of some of the herbs to the Vietnamese culture! The smoothies are also very yummy. The blackberry and raspberry flavors are my favorite b/c you know it's made with real fruit...seeds and everything are in the drink! My only drawback would be that the nuoc mam (the sauce your pour over a noodle bowl or use for dipping) is a little sweet for my taste. I haven't found a place that makes a good nuoc mam, however. (Luckily I have a friend who's mom makes the real stuff!) Also, the bathroom is also used a storage room...but I still commend the restaurant on keeping the bathroom and restaurant clean. read more

I would not recommend this place. The reviews rave about their pho and take out, but I had a different experience. My sister and I ate here for a quick bite and ordered the crab cheese wontons and the spring roll with shrimp. Long story short, we both got food poisoning that night. The dining room area is neat, I didn't notice any cleanliness issues where we sat but the back/kitchen/point of sales area seemed very disjointed. Pho has a very special place in my heart. With that said I might have my bar set pretty high for what I expect I have this delicious savory dish. The service here is great. Our server was very attentive and accommodating. I ordered seafood pho even though they didn't even offer it on the menu. They said "yes" without even batting an eyelash when I asked for it! The best kind of service is when they tend to your requests. While the service was great. The quality of the pho was just average. I was hoping for something that made me jump out of my seat with satisfaction but it was just... meh. I ordered a large bowl and took some home with me because I couldn't finish it. Man, I was actually impressed with finding this vietnamese spot in Westminster, Co. Walk into the establishment and it's clean and part of a strip mall. "CAUTION", I immediately say to myself. Browse through the extensive menu and can't decide what I want. "How about the combination rice noodle bowl" says the cashier. I flip back and forth through the pages and realize it is one of the most (if not the most) expensive thing on the menu. $8.75. "I know how this goes", my conscience tells me, "he's trying to make more money. Don't give in!!!" Read the description, grilled shrimp, pork, beef, with egg rolls. I was worried after reading the bad reviews, but decided to give the place a try, since it is right by where I work. My co-worker and I went in fully prepared to hate the place, but...the opposite happened. Our appetizers were egg rolls and crab cheese wontons. These may have been some of the best crab cheese wontons I've ever had. The dough was crispy but also flaky, and the innards were delicious and plentiful. The egg rolls were cooked perfectly and the portions were huge for an appetizer. But, really, let's talk about the broth. The meat options are your typical fare, but it's all about the broth. I literally tilted my bowl so I could get every last drop of broth into my belly. On point. Pretty impressed and, yes, I am a pho snob. Someone reviewed that the broth tasted watered down, but I can report back that it absolutely doesn't. It was rich and meaty and delicious and I can't recommend it enough. While the food was great, the customer service was absolutely horrible. With covid-19 going on, I like to take all necessary precautions and order my food for pick up online. The first time I ordered food in, an email prompted me at what time my food would be ready. I arrived at such time, and the hostess greeted me very hastily. She claimed the cooks were still working on my order and that it was going to take a little longer and "shoo'd" me off. It took an additional 30 minutes to receive my order. Granted it was fairly busy but the attitude received by the hostess wasn't necessary. The second occasion I ordered boba online for pickup and received the same treatment. Although this time the restaurant was completely empty. A hostile environment is not an inviting place to enjoy meals, and that includes pick up orders. Well, first off, there is no online menu that I could find, so I used the pictures on here and Google to order pick up over the phone. The woman on the phone was hasty and rude, when I said I wanted the shrimp vermicelli bowl, she seemed really confused about the shrimp, and asked me how many shrimp... I said, "Uh, the normal amount that comes on a shrimp vermicelli bowl?!" I don't work there, why was she asking me? I understand there was language barrier, but it was a rather simple order. After I think she has my order, I wait 10 mins and go pick it up. This is where things get really disappointing, I pay $15.10 and get my order and walk out. When I get home I see that there is only iceberg lettuce with plain vermicelli noodles on top, a small cup of fish broth, and 6 small shrimp. I did locate about 2 individual bean sprouts, but not a single slice of cucumber, indicating that they are incredibly cheap and cutting corners, the ingredients I was served, cost them about $3, maybe, and their menu states it should come with bean sprouts and cucumber (I guess two sprouts was multiple sprouts...) The spring rolls are thin, and the beef tastes not so much like beef.... the peanut sauce was weird too, and too dark. Don't waste your hard earned money here on $3 noodles you could make at home. My wife is a pho phreak and has tried most of the shops in the NW Denver area. Take a look at Google maps; there's a lot of them. This is the one she recommends. Saigon has a bigger menu than most little pho shops and besides the great pho, I've also tried the seafood egg noodle soup (Sorry, can't remember what it's called.) and the combination noodle bowl. I have yet to be disappointed. I really like the noodle bowl especially when it's too hot a day for pho. They really get a good char (ie: grillmarks) on the meat and seafood. This is my first time trying the pho here and I will never go back. The broth had no flavor. The chicken fried rice my daughter ordered was not good at all, I want to say it was disgusting actually, the chicken tasted very old and had a weird smell to it. Took my daughter to wash her hands and the restroom was so nasty I would have preferred to use a 7-11 restroom, downtown, there was a white fan, and I knew at one point it was white since I seen a bit of the top of the fan, but it was so nasty with black grime on it. The entire restaurant smelled like a dirty rag. The walls were disgusting, and it's hard not to notice that especially since the booth is so close to the walls. I will never go back here. Saigon Pho Grill consistently delivers a tasty bowl of one of my all time favorite foods. Seriously, what is better than a steamy bowl of delicious broth, noodles, and beef? Not much, my friends. Not. Freaking. Much. While you rarely get exactly what you ordered (last time I had several pieces of tendon, some tripe, and one random little shrimp in my rare steak Pho), what you get always hits the spot. Portion size is awesome and while normally I can put away a medium at most places, a small here is a formidable opponent. Noodles are plentiful and there is no shortage on the--in my humble opinion--essential sides and spices. They also have surprisingly great peanut sauce and I enjoy slathering a spring roll or two with it from time to time. Saigon Pho has my business and I will happily continue to support any place that can give me decent service and a big bowl of soup. read more

We really like The Vietnamese Cafe in Thornton, but for some reason, we keep trying to go there on MONDAYS, when they're closed. So we motored on down the road to this place, and, I gotta tell ya, they are fast becoming our fav Viet joint, because they have something here that really blew my skirt up the other day when we tried it. I'd been hearing about fried shrimp paste, and really wanted to try it, 'cause, whatthehell, it's SHRIMP, and it's FRIED. Anything better than that? uh-uh. I saw this thing on the back of the menu that had a picture of, lo and behold, the aforementioned Shrimp Paste, PLUS Vietnamese eggrolls, AND a nice helping of grilled meats, called The Saigon Special. They bring out this heaping plate of food, with all the traditional garnishes, and a big bowl of hot water. What's this for, I ask the waiter, and he proceeds to show me how to dip a rice paper in it to soften it up, and then you make your own spring roll. Fantastic! I dug in with a will, me and wifey still couldn't finish it all. Easily enough food for 4 if treated as an appetizer.
