So where do I begin! Let's start at the entrance. There's multiple areas with podiums where a host should be attending to seat you. They were all empty. We were standing in one spot as waitresses scuffled by, bartenders looked us dead in our faces but no one ever said a word. Then we noticed a small sign to go to entrance 11. We went and there was no one there either. Employees leaving brushing past you with no type of excuse me. Once again staff scuffling past and no acknowledgment. I mean how hard it is to say hey I'm leaving but I wanted to let you know there's some customers here? Someone will be with you in a moment or seating is over this way? I have to mention this disclaimer. I was not dining alone. My husband heard the food was good and he wanted to eat here otherwise they would have lost me at the very first point I wasn't acknowledged at the initial entrance. This place wasn't even crowded or very busy either. Now that I got that out of the way, eventually we were seated. Our waitress (that we didn't know was our waitress) walked by us multiple times without acknowledging us. After waiting 30mins my husband finally got up and went to find a manager. Then we finally got a waitress. We placed our order (which I didn't want to do at that point). We were leaving from a conference and extended stay to celebrate my husband's bday so I didn't want to be a party pooper ruining our time. I begrudgingly ordered the shrimp étouffée and he got the shrimp, po boy. They were both ok. Nothing to write home about or gamble with poor service over. Once the bill came we noticed he was charged for his club soda. First time for us but the manager said it's like getting a soda so they charge. You would think they would have at least took that off for the horrible service and making us wait 30 minutes to get it. NOPE! Bottom line as a business owner myself I would not want my name attached to this place. I'd shut it down before I'd allow my name/brand to be represented this way. Meanwhile as a consumer If they were the only place open in the air port I'd find a vending machine before I ever ate here again. It was the worst dining experience I had in New Orleans and I was there for 6 days. That should tell you all you need to know. lol!
