I really enjoyed everything I ate here and while it was more expensive than the other Byblos locations it was of better quality. Unfortunately something has changed as the quality seems to have dropped, the menu has changed and service has really deteriorated. They have a pizza type oven like Shaya and Saba have and they were putting out a similar type bread to those establishments but on my last visit I just got generic pita bread. The experience used to rate a higher price but now things have really declined and the juice is no longer worth the squeeze. I hope my last visit was just an anomaly but I've heard from multiple people that the standard has dropped and the generic pita is the new usual. This was a four star joint and one of the top Middle Eastern joints in the area but sadly that no longer seems to be the case.

We frequent both the Elmwood and Metairie locations, but the Elmwood location is our go-to since it's closest to home. On this visit, I started with the Boulevard Oysters--crispy fried oysters served over creamy spinach with an aioli sauce. They were delicious! I also had the chicken tortilla soup, and I absolutely freaking LOVE this soup! It's one of my favorites on the menu. For my entrée, I had the blackened fish with coleslaw, and of course, I had my usual lemon drop martini. That lemon drop is the BOMB! I order it every time, and it never disappoints. What I love most about Boulevard is the consistency. The food comes out quickly, the cocktails are always good, and the staff is always attentive--even when sitting at the bar, which is one of my favorite places to sit here. The restaurant is always clean, the bathrooms are clean, and you're greeted when you walk through the door. We've been here many times, and Boulevard hardly ever disappoints.
