Customer service was below par even for a typical New Orleans vibe. There is apparently some expectation that bars like these have to be void of smiles, or pleasant banter. Out of all the daiquiris I've had in my life, this was by far the weakest. Would be surprised if there was even an ounce of alcohol in this. Basically just a sugary fruit smoothie. First time coming here! What an amazing place and how amazing the staff is here. I enjoyed coming here more than a scary stroll through that tourist ran Bourbon Street and this place blew me out of the water. 1 thing to say....Mardi Gras Mash!!!! Maegan helped me figure out my favorite one. I sampled Amaretto & Pineapple (sweet), Electric Lemonade (sweet but tart), and once she told me to try the Mardi Gras Mash(not too sweet but delicious) I was hooked. It was so good. I think they have over 12 flavors, and they will let you taste whatever flavor you would like. The bartenders do a great job at describing the differences in the flavors. This place is huge too! Louisiana...what a great state. Daiquiri bars and to-go drinks on top of everything else there is to experience here. I'd be happy if in my hometown they'd find a way to open one less yogurt bar and instead open one of these. This is like a yogurt bar but with frozen daiquiris. About 15 or 16 different flavors that will make you want to try them all...at one sitting, and you can do that since there are plenty of tables. Of course, it probably wouldn't be any more conducive to your health than too much yogurt, but that's another tale. The strawberry daiquiri wasn't quite frozen enough, so I picked the pina colada. I wasn't sorry I did. It was a perfectly flavored slushee that hit the spot. I wanted to try a few of the others, or maybe get a gallon to-go, but the alarm for my early am flight would have made it impossible for me to enjoy it thoroughly. Even if I'd had to drive, though, NOOD had that covered as well. There's a breathalyzer machine for a buck...probably one of those gag machines but not a bad idea given how much trouble a place like this can be. I love the convenience of this place. It was next door to our hotel, so we walked over to check it out. No kids, no household responsibilities, no worries! it was now time to get LOOSE! The 44 oz 190 proof was calling my name...oh what the heck, I went ahead and added an extra shot of everclear for an additional $1 to the $10 drink....NIIICCCEEE. 3 hours and a nap later, I finished the drink and all of a sudden, "The Addams Family Values" was funnier than "Def Comedy Jam". We saw these daiquiri spots every where we went in New Orleans, but this location was in walking distance from our hotel, and a group of us probably visited daily during our stay. They have many options to choose from (hurricane, octane, amaretto) etc., so many choices that you just don't know what to get but the staff let us sample as many flavors as we liked. Everything we tried was great but of course some were much stronger than others and it's so cool that they have like 3 or 4 different sizes so you can get as much or as little as you like. It's very spacious inside with lots of tables and televisions if you want to watch a game or fight, and the music is very loud which we enjoyed. They also have a small patio with tables and chairs if you want to chill outside as they allow smoking inside so we spent most of our time outside or heading back to the hotel. read more

Wow, my first time in the NO and we stopped here first right off the plane! It was clear that it was my first time there, so the server behind the counter asked me what do I like. I've been to multiple NOOD locations in new orleans and this is by far my favorite. Accessible parking, great atmosphere on the inside, nice and patient bartenders. The staff helps to set a great atmosphere for mingling and relaxing. The daquiris are really good, fairly priced and if u don't know what you want, the bartenders are helpful in recommendations. We went on a Wednesday and there was a special, 5.75 for a large. The large was more than enough drink to have a good time. I was in the mood for bananas so the bartender mixed banana liquor into my pina colada and it was great! There was lots of music playing and pool tables so I would definitely recommend this place as a start to a New Orleans trip. read more
