I'm pretty miffed that all of the positive reviews of this place are "not recommended" - what are you doing, Yelp? I have asthma and found this bar to be incredibly clean and well-ventilated, yet you're going to leave up an old review written by a jerk? My friend and I were bouncing around Metairie bars last Saturday looking for karaoke, and someone suggested we come here. I'm so glad she did, because we had SO MUCH FUN! The drinks are very affordable and taste delicious. Karaoke Joe was a wonderful host, and the bartenders were cracking jokes with us as if we were regulars. I can't say enough good things about this place! We will absolutely be back. read more

Great friendly neighborhood bar. It has a classic-loungy-sports bar appeal. For those who say the bartenders weren't friendly, I say you bring the attitude with you. We are definitely not regulars but came in happy and ready to meet new friends. The bartenders were lovely, gave us samples to try and took great care of us even when there was a house full of "regulars". The owner even came over to chat. If you are staying local for an early flight out, definitely stop in for a drink, some food and friendly conversation. You won't be disappointed. read more

The bartender was nice but Jesus it stinks in this place they allow smoking and she told us it was a 10 dollar minimum .. I just got water we were trying to sit out traffic but hell to the no it freaking reeks so bad all you hear is people coughing abs it's full of old white people that look at you funny. We left after 5 minutes fuck it we chose traffic instead. read more

Came to KJ's to enjoy some karaoke after a wedding and we all had an absolute blast!! Such a fun spot and I look forward to coming back! Yes there is smoking inside but that is still typical for bars--definitely not something that would keep me away from coming back and having a blast singing karaoke!!! We are a friendly neighborhood bar with lots of action weekly! We follow and support our city's sport teams such as LSU and The New Orleans Saints! We also have Karaoke several nights a week. When reading our reviews, please make sure you scroll to the bottom and read the reviews that are "not recommended" by yelp. Yelp picks and chooses which reviews to allow. Those reviews are all from actual customers. Gee whiz.... Look at that, they just "filtered" out another 5 star review. Imagine that.... This is a total joke! 10/7/2019 Update... Imagine that! Another legitimate review was removed by this joke of a company! I hope people don't actually fall for Yelps BS.

I, Karaoke joe, was a karaoke host at the same location when it was Liuzzas sports bar, for 14 years. When dave decided to close Liuzzas down, I purchased it in hopes to create the very best neighborhood bar around! Come check us out!

I have been to several Karaoke bars, but this place stood out about them all. Everyone there were so inviting and welcoming! I felt like I never wanted to leave. I feel very safe at Kjs and it's like a home away from home where I can destress from the long week . The prices are great and the shot specials are awesome! I recommend Fireball and mini beer shots. The food is great! I would recommend the chicken strips and fries! I have not tried their Monday night steak nights, but I plan on trying soon. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a fun and friendly atmosphere! I will definitely continue to go there! read more

It's a neighborhood bar that just makes you feel at home! They have different specials every day of the week and karaoke 4 nights! There is a dart room and plenty of tv's. Prices are reasonable and atmosphere is awesome! A wonderful place to just relax and have fun! This place is amazing! I came down to visit my sister and she had to bring me here. She and her fiance love it and she wanted to show me why. Boy was she right! The people were amazing. The bar owners, staff, and entire atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I sang one night and came back and was greeted with hugs and requests to sing again. I felt comfortable and at home in such a short time. I 100% recommend this place if you love small town, rustic, and a place that feels like home. I WILL be back next time in town :) read more

This has be become my favorite place to go great daily specials, good bar food the steaks are the best around. The owner is awesome very personable with all his customers and the bartenders are great. I have gone to KJs for a few years now and they never seem to amaze me with how well I am treated there. I am not an every weekend bar attendee and go a few times a year but they always remember me and I think steak night is probably my fave night! Karaoke is always packed and every birthday, we come here and I have quite a few friends who have come back after coming for the first time.
