This place is pretty swanky, yo! I didn't even know that this place existed until I went with a friend who was celebrating her friend's birthday here. We arrived around 10 pm on a Saturday and there wasn't any line or issues to get in. A lot of people were dressed nice, but I was in my typical shirt, jeans, and leather sneakers. As the night went on, the place became packed but I didn't have any issues trying to get drinks from the bar. The bartenders were on top of their games! I was drinking Main & Co all night, which was a mix of whiskey, tequila, and some other stuff they put in there. It was delicious and definitely packed a punch. For $12, it was worth it. To me, this place has the potential to be the starting point of a good night out. Get some drinks and look at some beautiful people before I become a sloppy drunk. If you haven't checked this place out, I recommend that you do.

What a hidden gem! I don't get to lower downtown too often and can't keep up with all the places. I went to a post-event happy hour at Lily & Bloom and wasn't sure what to expect. It was a very cute, historical/antique looking - yet upscale - cozy bar with a second level balcony. Kind of a speakeasy vibe. The drinks were all craft cocktails (plus I think wine and beer) and the drink menu was very impressive. No one in our group could decide so thankfully the bartenders all made excellent recommendations. I loved my Pina Reliever. I was a little like an non-sweet pina colada, but very sophisticated and had a definite kick. Service was very thorough and professional, but the drinks do take a little while to make and garnish. It was that was across the board with all of the cocktails. We were there on an off night (Sunday) so there was street parking available and the area was fairly quiet. I'm sure they are crowded on weekends and perhaps during weekday happy hours. Only somewhat negative was that they don't have any snacks at all. However, they will let you order or bring food from neighboring businesses so you could easily Favor over a few bites if you're famished!

A-mazzzinnnggg bar tenders and environment! I love Ben so much! We asked for pretty, innovative drinks. Every drink was made special and amazing. At the end, he made me a zodiac sign drink at the end and it was amazing. He literally climbed the ladder to make the perfect Drink! Super recommend x 10 guys, talk to him and find your best drink!

    The bubbly cocktail. Fresh.

Came across this place for Happy Hour and while visiting Houston. I would go again. Drinks were great. The Paloma was Fresh, the bubbly was delish, and the bartender Chase even made me a cocktail off the menu that was incredible. The place is quaint. Super chill. Can be a after-work drink location or even a date spot. Great ingredients. Friendly staff. Great options.

Phenomenal Service! Great drinks, even better environment!

Ask Tamara for the "Human" excellent service and an even better drink! Wonder time for my first night in Houston! Lilly & Bloom is a dive beer located in the heart of Downtown Houston!

Oh! I haven't reviewed Lilly & Bloom yet?! I love this bar, I love the music and the special DJs they bring on in here. Hosted my boyf's birthday here two months ago and everyone had a blast :)

A cool bar located at the end of night club row. They've got a bunch of comfortable couches and lounge chairs. An impressive selection of spirits and beers. The bartender 'Danger' (how could you forget a name like that?) was super friendly and helpful in telling us more about downtown and where (and where not) to go. A chill place that is geared more towards the 30 something crowd.

We went on a Saturday evening, so it was pretty crowded, but once we found our spot in the Gold Room, we stayed there most of the night. Great music, great energy, and a unique concept. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something different for a night out. Not sure how it took me this long to stumble in here. Parking is what it is downtown so, there's that.

The lighting is dark, intimate, and behind every level and door, there is something else going on. There is an element of discovery in every corner and a new adventure on every floor. Ever watch the movie Tron? There are some areas of BCD that feel incredibly futuristic with neon-lit interiors and a legitimate sci-fi feel in some areas. The areas are ass follows: The main bar with a DJ and a spacious dance floor, the red room with a visualizer setup of big bass and pulsating lights, the gold room with a speakeasy feel and a curated cocktail menu, with the secret room that is a unique space behind a certain set of doors. Most of the music on the main bar is good, the DJs are energetic, and the bartenders are efficient while professional. It's not the easiest place to photograph anything, but the different (hidden) spaces make it a worthy destination for discovery. The one area that I don't love is that they rock automatic gratuity. I do love how diverse the crowd is on the weekends, which is a testament to the city. Drinks are solid, but the speakeasy drinks are the ones that stand out the most. The latter definitely comes at a price, but beware that some drinks may have all the presence but not enough of the substance. __________ My photos: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/behind-closed-doors-houston?userid=ysCBsXWPB-LAiewVS3jZfQ

The dining room is chic and feels very upscale but comfortable with a large open fire kitchen that was really fun to watch while dining. They were very on top of service with both our dining captain and waiter checking on us throughout the evening. For appetizers we ordered the deviled crabs, tuna tostada and wood roasted carrots. All were great but I especially loved the carrots which were cooked and seasoned perfectly. For my main course I had the chicken and dumplings, husband got the NY strip, our friends shared the whole fish and we had the cabbage and crab rice as sides. Everyone was very happy with both their main courses and the side dishes. We were too stuffed to order dessert but they sent out a s'mores inspired sunday for my birthday which was both thoughtful and sublime. Overall we were very impressed with our meal. We were greeted by three different people - one that took our drink order, one that cleared our plates, and one that took our order. All were very nice people and gave excellent service! I forgot their names unfortunately. My receipt said Zachary but not sure which waiter that was. Between me and hubs, we had a Pan de campo, an order of Gulf Oysters "casino", (4) dressed oysters, a 16 oz dry aged ribeye, a snapper entree and a side of crab fried rice. We finished almost everything except a quarter of the Pan, about a quarter of the rice, and about a third of the ribeye. All were great dishes and would definitely order again. We skipped dessert because honestly none stood out to us. He said their popular dessert is the souffle but they were sold out. Our total before gratuity was about $250 and that included one cocktail. Hubs had their "classic" old fashioned which he said was excellent! Overall, highly recommended if you don't mind the splurge or for a special occasion!
