    Kouign-amann

This location is very convenient and easily accessible if you are shopping at the mall. They open at 7 am which is an hour later than their original location which makes it harder to grab treats and get to work before all the traffic starts. When I get there early they have everything, but sometimes later in the afternoon they start to run out of items. One item I wanted to try was their kouign-amann and it looked good but was bit dry. I think I will stick to their poi mochi donuts which are soft and a bit chewy without being overly sweet. My daughter also loves their hotdog roll with a mayo/ketchup top. Service is always good at 7 am. I have eaten sit down meals at this location and sometimes you have to wait depending on the amount of people there. The restaurant is located within/next to Macys so you can sip while you wait. The inside is nice and bright but wish they had a better view rather than the parking lot. Parking is great unless it's the holiday times.

Liliha Bakery was so... hard to find LOL. We were wandering back and forth through the Ala Moana Shopping Center trying to locate this restaurant. Was it in Macy's? Next to Macy's? Google Maps showed that it was in Macy's, but we were like "there's no way lol." But after circling the perimeter a couple of times, we were like "idk let's check the inside of the Macy's." We roamed around the inside of the Macy's for a while and eventually made our way to the third floor where the women's clothing section was. We didn't actually think that Liliha Bakery would be there, but we were running out of places to look. But it was! Right there, on the third floor of the Macy's, next to the dresses, was the entrance to Liliha Bakery. The sight was a little bizarre because like why would it be there, but regardless, that's where it is.  We put our name on the waitlist through the kiosk and waited about 15 minutes for our table. Service was very nice. We all got the loco moco with fried rice. It was so good! The hamburger patty tasted like it was fresh off a charcoal grill - a little smoky with a delicious charred edge. The garlic fried rice was so good too. We all scraped our plates clean! This was probably the best loco moco I've ever had. I'll definitely have to give Liliha Bakery another visit on my next trip to Oahu... and this time, I'll know exactly where to find it!

Service, food, location 10/10 They do get fairly busy during rushes but it's worth it! Came straight here after landing into the airport, perfect spot for breakfast and lunch; they have so much options! Located in Ala Moana mall 3rd floor, right next to Macy's. Theres a nice bakery area right outside the restaurant, serving their best pastries too Strawberry tea lemonade was really good. I got the kimchi fried rice, my boyfriend pork belly loco moco and my auntie and uncle got pancakes. Kimchi fried rice and pancakes were really good but the pork belly loco moco is what I've been dreaming about since, it was REALLY delicious I'll definitely love to come back again!

This is one of our favorite places to eat at when were in Waikiki. This specific location is at the Ala Moana mall... inside Macy's. Lol. Originally came to just pick up some cream puffs but decided to sit and eat. Best decision ever. Complimentary butter rolls with jelly (melts in your mouth). We got their loco moco (good), the kimchi fried rice with spam and eggs (delish), and the 3 pc. fried chicken with rice, corn, and potato mac salad (THE BEST!). My husband loved the fried chicken so much, we tried going back the day after. Lol. The bakery section is a whole review in itself but I wanted to highlight some favorites: green tea & original puff! I could devour 4 at a time. Lol. Their cookies and breads are also good. Good food. Great service. Huge servings. Laid back diner. Delicious homestyle meals. Great bang for your buck. Highly highly recommend.

@fortunefoodfinds: "I L.O.V.E. you a whole (choco)LOT! Tried the new new at Liliha Bakery: Dubai Chocolate Coco Puffs n' a Dubai Chocolate Croissant. It's obvious there's no stoppin' the Dubai chocolate craze, bc this flavor puff is my new fave!" SERVICE: friendly INTERIOR: visited the bakery section that is to the left of the restaurant as soon as you enter from the outside. Some bar stool seating. EXTERIOR: located inside Macy's Ala Moana WAIT TIME: be sure to grab a number. Depending on how busy it is, it was less than 5-10 minutes during this visit. PARKING: large roof top lot, free OVERALL COMMENTS: came specifically for the Dubai chocolate items. Instantly fell in L.O.V.E. with the puff, they nailed the topping. The filling is the same as the Chantilly topped coco puff. Surprised they didn't come out with this sooner, but I'm glad they finally did. The croissant was good, only thing was it's a tad bit on the harder side instead of flaky. Maybe if it was the crescent shape n' larger, the texture would've came out different. Definitely will order the Dubai chocolate coco puffs again n' again!

Liliha Bakery is a local staple, and in recent years they've added a bunch of new locations. We've gotten takeout from this one inside Macy's a few times, but only dined in for the first time recently. You can get here through the store, or simply park right outside on the top level. They have a counter with their baked goods and other items to go as well. This place was busy! But the host was efficient to greet everyone and people were seated quickly. We sat at the big bar, which had no wait and the server was very fast to take our order. The menu is gigantic, with local foods, sandwiches, and breakfast. I had the kimchi fried rice, sooo good with lots of flavor. Portion sizes are huge for the price. The side of mac salad was yummy too, lots of dill. The plantation iced tea offered a refreshingly tropical treat too. If you're looking for something more casual and inexpensive while shopping in Ala Moana, this is a great option.

Stopped by for lunch. This Liliha Bakery is located in the Ala Moana Mall next to the Macys on the 3rd floor. I placed my to go order with the cashier. I ordered the Loco Moco gravy on the side. My Loco Moco was perfect. The over easy eggs were runny just how I like em' Received my to go order within 15 mins.

If you love light, creamy pastries -- this place is dangerous in the best way. The fruit pastries were absolutely delicious. The fruit tasted fresh and vibrant, and the cream was light and not overly sweet. The pastry itself was soft and delicate, making every bite feel balanced and refreshing. The green tea puff was so good -- subtle matcha flavor with a smooth, creamy filling that wasn't overpowering. Perfect for anyone who likes that earthy, not-too-sweet dessert vibe. The chocolate puff was rich and satisfying, filled generously with silky chocolate cream. It felt indulgent but still airy. And the chantilly coco puff? So fluffy and dreamy. The chantilly cream was light and perfectly sweet, and the cocoa dusting added just the right touch. Everything tasted fresh, beautifully made, and not too heavy. Definitely coming back when I need a sweet treat fix.

The food was a bit worse than I remember. My husband's steak was overdone, but what was worse was that the strawberry in the fruit bowl was rotten. When I told the waitress, she told the back, but nothing else happened. We still had to pay for the rotten strawberry. Pretty teclassy. Also, the corn is canned corn... The clam chowder is good. Very clammy.

dining in..... I met some co-workers this past weekend for dinner. Since we live in different parts of the island, the consensus was to meet at somewhere central-ish with a lot of parking available. Thank goodness Ala Moana has lot of food options. NOTES 1. The restaurant is located at Macy's on the third floor; this is the former Pineapple Room space. 2. This location has a restaurant AND bakery section.....though the bakery wasn't too busy when we arrived. 3. There's a dedicated entrance from the parking lot....upper deck mauka side. Or, you can walk thru Macy's also. 4. Similar to other locations, check-in at the host stand to be seated. 5. Soda and coffee are refillable. I had 2 refills of my coke zero. Our group of 4 met at 5:30. Thankfully, the restaurant was not busy at all and we were seated immediately. Having been to other LB locations, we didn't deliberate too long on what to order. I chose the chicken kaarage (white rice with tossed salad), while other ordered the chicken milanese (special), mushroom chicken, and the loco moco. The server dropped off the famous LB dinner rolls with their signature jelly while we waited for our food. Since we spent a lot of time catching up, we felt we didn't wait too long for the food. As expected, the food at LB doesn't disappoint as its comfort food at its finest. I really enjoyed my entree, as it was a decent portion and the chicken was prepared well enough, but I thought it could do with less sauce. Everyone enjoyed their food, but like myself, asked for take out box for their leftovers. The one item no one took home was the dinner rolls because those were long gone by meal's end. SERVICE Our server was friendly, polite, and attentive. She checked on us periodically throughout the meal, and readily provided refills for water, soda, and coffee. BOTTOM LINE Good service. Comfort food. And, there's a bakery.

Went to have lunch with some old coworkers this past week. We got there about 11 and there were a large number of people waiting to get seated (I'd guess) about 20 or so. We were surprised that many people were there midday on a Tuesday. We put our name on the list and waited about 15 minutes to get seated. The restaurant was crowded and a bit noisy. We did have to get close to hear or speak a loudly to hear each other. Not a deal breaker but something to know if you are having a business meeting. Server was friendly and knowledgeable. We placed our order and food arrived in under 10 minutes. I ordered the 2 eggs, rice and meat. I wouldn't say the meal was bad but I had eaten at the Pearl City location and in comparison it was not the same. Eggs and sausage are hard to mess up and those were ok, sausage did seem a little under cooked. My issue was with the fried rice. Rice was kind of mushy and not very flavorful. Oh well, maybe it was just an off day. With all that said I'd still return, but probably order something else.

3rd time here on this trip because my mom likes it. If you're looking to eat healthy and offset the glucose spike from your butter roll, Cobb salad has the best greens. You get a big bowl. Get the dressing on the side

Prime rib sandwich came with salad and au jus sauce and a side of salad. It's good but also very filling. I didn't try the burger or teriyaki chicken but was told both were delicious. After dinner, we ordered a few items from the bakery to eat on the plane. You have to take a number and wait for them to call it. We were actually asked about 3 times by 3 different servers if we wanted a different drink besides water, which was ok with us. We appreciated them being very attentive to each table's needs. Food: 10/10. I ordered the Veggie Eggs Benedict and it tasted really good. I liked how the ingredients taste fresh and how the benny complemented very well with the potatoes. I also sampled my brother's fried rice and it was amazing. The Extreme Mess was flavorful too, a little bit on the saltier side for me but my boyfriend enjoyed it. Ambiance: We were seated outside but it was covered and well-ventilated. The place is well-maintained and clean, and has a "local brunch place" vibe which I liked. Parking: We lucked out and got parking at the available space by their lot, around 11am on a Saturday. There's also street parking available.

Excellent Experience at Sweet E's Café…read more We had such a great experience at Sweet E's Café. Even though they were busy, we didn't wait long at all. The servers were incredibly attentive from the moment we sat down--they brought us water right away, handed us menus, got our drinks first, and gave us plenty of time to look through the menu without feeling rushed. They were welcoming, friendly, and on top of everything. Our food came out fairly quickly and everything was fresh and delicious. The herb roasted potatoes were amazing, perfectly seasoned and cooked. The pancake was so fresh and fluffy. My omelette with Kahlúa pork was very good, full of flavor. My son's side of white rice and crispy bacon was cooked perfectly, and the corned beef hash was also delicious. We really appreciated the unlimited coffee and water refills, too. The overall experience was excellent--great service, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place and we'll definitely be back.

My fiance won a gift card actually 2 of them (from his coworker whom could not get a reservation secured), we knew we had to make the trip over before they officially close. We had multiple dishes, but staff made Kauai prawns and tomato miso black cod dishes on the house since they ran out the Hokkaido scallops. We ordered the short ribs, lobster appetizer, hamachi crudo and lastly sashimi moriawase to finish food palate. Lukki lemon dessert was great way to end to night. Ordered the Milk tea bouquet cocktail while my better half had water ( either way the food coma knock him out cold the rest of the night lol). To be honest, it was difficult to determine which dish was the best because the staff kept quality there despite it being busy every night since they announce the closure. Sashimi moriawase, fish was so fresh, reminded me of my time spent in Hokkaido and Sapporo. Short ribs was soft and rich in flavor. Both me and my fiance liked the lukki lemon dessert, like lemon meringue pie but broken down version. If you have a chance to dine here before closing and got a reservation, definitely will have a lovely dining experience and your stomach will be full by end of the night.

The staff were friendly and very helpful with giving us recommendations. We ordered 3 appetizers and 2 entrees, and honestly it was too much food for us. We had leftovers for breakfast the next day! - For appetizers we got: Ulu Tots, Japanese Eggplant, and Corn Beignets. The Corn Beignets was the best. - For entree we got: Tomato Miso Black Cod and the Short Rib. Both were delicious and worth a try. Sad to see that this restaurant appears to be closing.
