She also recommended an awesome anti-frizz product, which I purchased once I saw the wonders that it (and Lili's styling, which I'm praying I can replicate!) worked on my hair. This was probably one of the nicest places I've been to get a haircut, the man who was cutting my hair, Ash, offered me a cappuccino and gave me a cookie! He was super friendly and really fun to talk to while I got my hair cut. The one thing I would say is you should let them know if you have a time constraint, my haircut took around 2 and a half hours. But he did take his time with diligence, he washed it and put in bond repair etc to help with hair damage, and some product in to soften it. After he blow dried my hair it was the softest and had the most body and volume, it was amazing. Then I found out the haircut cost $85 dollars lol, he mentioned it while blow drying and my HEART WENT IN MY THROAT, I mean I paid the money and everything but wow that was pretty pricey for just a trim. I don't live in Sausalito. I was there for a friend's anniversary celebration, and since it was a dressy event I was looking for a blow-dry and makeup. I called Lili's and Ash was super helpful so I got an appointment. Lili was lovely. She did a bit of trimming on my cut and did my makeup. She really knew what she was doing and I ended up with a stunning look. I got huge compliments at the party. Lili was warm and friendly and the salon is small and personal. I went to this salon for a simple trim. I very clearly asked Lili to keep the length as long as possible. And she cut off 4 inches off my hair. Upon reflecting my observation, not only she was completely dismissive, she was extremely disrespectful and called me names and referred to my hair as 'rats tail'. I have never had such a bad shape for my hair. She doesn't know how to do layering at all. I felt thoroughly abused and scared as she was screaming at me while cutting my hair. I wasn't sure what to do. Charging 110 for a dirty place with hair still on the seat and for extremely rude, abusive behavior felt like a robbery. I was honesty scared to even bring it up while I was there. She had a very invasive, talkative and generally frustrated attitude. I wouldn't recommend anyone going here for anything. read more

I have seen Lili three times now. It's taken me a long time to grow my hair to a certain length because it tends to be dry. I stated visiting Lili's Salon because she is close to my home. The second time I saw her she decided to add layers to my hair without consulting me first. I went back a third time and I though I was pretty clear that I wanted just a trim all around. When I got out of my chair I saw big chunks of my hair on the ground. No doubt Lilii is talented but if this continues, my hair will get shorter and shorter over time. Pam was very thorough with my skin and gave me a fabulous foot and arm massage. I usually prefer the neck and shoulder massage with a facial, but Pam made me feel spectacular. My skin was refereshed after teh express facial. Pam even took the time to make my facial last a bit longer and made me feel pampered. It is a bit expensive for a 40 minute facial but Pam was honest and not a hard sell on anything which is the best. I just want my skin to renew, not be told what products to use or not. The salon just moved and the new location is just down the street. Easy parking and I was taken in right away! I went to see Arash who added the most beautiful natural blond color to my hair! I'm so happy with the results, my hair looks amazing, healthy and shinny! He also trimmed my dead ends and shaped the front without cutting too much which is exactly what I wanted. If you are blond and tired of dealing with dry overexposed highlights and want your hair to grow longer go see him! He suggested color instead of my normal highlights and I'm so glad I took his advise! I walked in on a Wednesday with an absolutely horrendous color job from a salon in Mill Valley. I was desperate, but petrified to pick another salon. My best friend suggested that i go see Lili because she was able to give her dark brown hair the right ashy highlights that nobody else could achieve. I am 5'10 and my hair is down to my butt--It's ALOTTTTT of hair! Lili was able to get me in on Saturday between wedding gigs. She also explained the price upfront to color correct my very long hair. I really appreciated everything she said to me and how real she was without being offensive. She knew my hair pretty bad, but never made me feel bad about it. This is really important to me and stands out because i had spent the last week crying and obsessing over how terrible my hair looked. Come saturday, I brought in a picture of a beautiful woman with amazing unique highlights/lowlights--a tall order for my half (yes half) bleached sort of ombre hair. She agreed that this style would look good on me and asked if i could leave the picture up on my phone. Hours and hours later I left feeling fabulous because Lili was miraculously able to save my ombre by changing the tone, and giving me some pretty darn good highlights that really just pull the look together. The brown she used was spot on to my natural color, which is what I wanted to go for. The highlights are ashy how i requested. I was so happy that when I left i asked her if i could make an appointment to get my hair touched up right before i leave to my destination wedding! read more

After being cancelled on by a stylist down the street that I had never met for a haircut, I literally wandered into Lili.s and asked Ash if he was available to give me a haircut "that minute." Fortunately, for me he was. He sat me down, asked me about my hair, my time constraints and my styling. Then we chatted. Ash was meticulous about cutting my hair correctly. He began by cutting a quarter inch off of it while my hair was dry, then after giving my hair a bonus and much needed triple deep conditioning treatment, he cut the other 3/4 inch off and was very exacting. When I left, he asked me if I liked my cut (YES!) and reminded me that I could contact him if I woke up and felt differently (I won't). I thought that my hair was in good hands and that Ash did an amazing job. I will go back to Ash again. Thanks to the unnamed stylist who cancelled on me today! I gave 2 stars because you have done a good job but you really made me unhappy for keep mention about the groupon. I bought a $40 groupon for an hour European facial. I walked in and told the facial lady that I have groupon but I forgot to mention to the owner. The owner came up to me and told me that I have to tell them ahead of the time, because groupon facial length of time is different with the regular one, so to confirm, I asked her how long would it be. She was like 1 hr. OK 1 HOUR. The facial lady took me in the room at 6:30 and been talking about the skin types and products for 10 mins, THEN first she asked me what product line I use. I told her I used Le Blanc Chanel, and she went oh ppl often think brand name is good. Excuse me i am not that stupid, I dont throw my money out of the window. I use what works on my skin. Make me upset right away. But it is not to the point of madness if my facial lasts more than 30 mins. I literally timed her processes and my facial last exactly 28 mins. To Be honest it was a good facial but such a lie to tell me it will be an hour facial. I came out pretty mad and wonder if the owner can tell. While it may be true that at one time Lili was a stylist for the runway, now she is focused on making as much money for her business as possible. She is expensive and unfair. The 2nd time I saw her, I had a hair cut and then went back for a coloring 3 weeks later, when we agreed together that with the color, the cut needed a little shaping. She snipped a little here and there and then charged me for a full $85 haircut. I don't want Sausalito to have this kind of reputation. Terrible salon, filthy and dirty, poor service, no customer service and rude front desk guy . The guy over there Arash ( his real name), uses foul language all the time as a way of looking cool. A simple haircut took him 2 hours and he couldn't do a blowdry either. I'm not sure if he has a lisence. I was there just a little over than a month ago hoping that she (Lili the owner of the salon) will compensate for their disappointing service and refund me. This is only one of her messages: "We don't have policy to refund and we don't have unhappy customers and if there is small problem they should come to fix it within 7 days . As a curtesy of our salon I can give u 20% off of my hair cut . Thank you for understanding " This is while I'd called her only a day after the service and she simply denied it. Lili had posted an ad on Groupon which she pretended she didn't know about when I called her later on. The ad was using her assumed experience, so you'd expect that's what you get, but no way! And I don't believe if someone can lie about you calling them, wouldn't lie about their experience. That day, I called the salon after work to see if they were still open since it was around 6 or 7pm. His son, the guy I mentioned, picked up the phone and said they are open so I went. In a nutshell, he messed up my hair, charged me the price of Groupon reluctantly ( they didn't want to purchase through Groupon for some reason. Maybe they know how poor their service is and they don't want anyone to leave reviews), and didn't refund me anything. She not only didn't opologize when I called her a day after, but also told me the I should feel privileged to have been there and that if I want a repair I need to pay $120 and that I'm again privileged to get a %20 off!!! On top of all that, the guy kept asking me "very" personal questions making me super uncomfortable the whole time he was working on my hair ( it was only me and him there, so imagine the tension). I'm writing this review on behalf of my mom. I live in Sausalito and my mom was in town visiting me for a week. She found Lili S salon while wandering around town and decided to go in to get her hair dyed (shhhhh! Don't tell anyone). Her stylist was Ash and he was so so nice and welcoming. She couldn't stop talking about what an enjoyable experience it was. That's the difference between good salons and great - both salons provide a service but great salons make it an experience. I just wanted to start off and say that Lili is the best at what she does. I am brunette and sometimes getting highlights can be a very daunting task at most salons to say the least. I've had some pretty bad experiences. Lili color corrected my hair and took out all the brass color in my hair from previous hair job done in another salon. She also added a good dimension of lowlights and highlights. It came out great although a week later after she did my hair I decided I wanted to go just a tid bit darker blonde and Lili said no problem and scheduled me to come in to tone my hair a smidgen darker. My hair looked great before it was just a matter of preference to have a more blended look. My hair looks amazing!!!! I have looked high and low for hair color expert and no one is as good as her! You definitely get what you pay for when you get your hair done at this place! I'm surprise there isn't that many reviews on her on yelp she is just fabulous and the salon has a relaxing ambiance about it! She will give wonderful suggestions and I have never received so many compliments on a haircut. I cannot comment on hair colorist or cutting, but never ever even consider going her for any sort of waxing....they completely removed half of one of my eyebrows! your worst nightmare. and they got so much wax in the other brow it took them ages and a lot or rubbing to remove it all. as for the underarms....and I'm not a hairy person at all.....they left half of the hair despite applying wax about 10 times to each armpit.
