Best pizza in Oviedo, hands-down! my husband and I get pizza every time we visit from Pensacola shout out to uncle Joe!!

Came here on a whim, and it's such a nice independent Italian restaurant! The host/server is clearly passionate about the business, offering solid recommendations and explanations and a true spirit of hospitality. The food is overall excellent and good sized portions. The antipasto was much larger than expected, with quality cuts. The chicken masala was excellent, as was all the garlic breads (incredibly soft). As others have noted, meals come with garlic focaccia. I recommend trying their signature pastas, which offer some nice twists on classic dishes. It was a filling and tasty experience, did not get to try the desserts so I definitely hope to return to experience more of the menu! read more

Was in the mood for some Lasagna, ordered by phone for pick up, I got there about 20mins later, waited about 5mins and it was ready. Small, quaint spot, I was greeted as I entered, not a big restaurant but enough room to sit comfortably. The lasagna was good, however, I wish it had a little more meat there was actually barely any meat in the piece I received. Garlic knots were really good! Pizza is great here. Another local favorite. We usually take it to go but we did eat inside recently and service was good. We usually stick to one of their white pizzas and pepperoni. Haven't tried their pastas yet. Overall, it's a solid pizza place and would recommend. read more

Four stars for wonderful service and a nice clean restaurant with family vibes! We arrived here to meet with some friends for dinner and we're greeted warmly by Madeleine or something similar, I forgot her name. She was very sweet. We ordered the garlic knots for the kids straight away, the vodka, pizza, and the chicken wings. The chicken wings were absolutely flavorless and they weren't fried properly, they had no taste to them. I could barely get through one wing to be honest with you. They were also $19, but we didn't say anything to them. Anyhow, the pizza was pretty good and the garlic knots were delicious! I would definitely come back and try something else on the menu! Bonus, the entrée comes with garlic bread that is nice and crispy, I didn't know about it, but our friend got the seafood pasta and the bread came with it. The bread is complementary so that's a good tip. Will definitely come back when we are in the area! read more

We went again this evening. Everything was very good. We had pizza, wings, and a side of meatballs. The pizza was delicious and topped with fresh ingredients. The wings were very meaty and tasty. They were served piping hot. The meatballs were a very nice size, flavorful and very meaty with little filler. This is now my go to place for Italian food. If you want a nice, delicious meal in a hometown restaurant, stop in. You won't be sorry. read more

It took us a long time to find our preferred pizza place when we moved to the area many years ago, and I'll be honest, I wasn't sure we were ever going to find "the one." We bounced from big chain to big chain, occasionally throwing in a mom'n'pop place, but nothing was really outstanding. Then Lil Vinny's opened. ::chorus of angels:: The pizza here is NEXT LEVEL. Just real and good and tastes like something you'd make in your own kitchen if you knew what the heck you were doing around real pizza dough. We order everything from their menu, but our standards are their pizzas (the vodka sauce pizza being my personal fave, meat lover's being my partner's fave), their caesar salad, and their spinach stromboli with chicken added. And let me just say their red sauce/gravy/marinara/whatever you want to call it is hands down, the best in town. I usually toss red sauce accompaniments, they're that inconsequentially blah. Not so at Lil Vinny's! I've never dined in, so I can't speak to the ambiance, but I can tell you that this is really the only pizza place we've ordered from since they opened. And at the volume of pizza/dinner delivery we order, that's really saying something. read more

Very good pizza, a bit too thin for us but it was yummy. Tried to order the deep dish but was told it takes 45 minutes. When we got there it was not ready. I guess someone forgot to call and say it wasn't available so they did comp us our order since we had to wait for something else. Which I thought was very professional. read more

This place was just ok. We got the mozzarella cheese sticks and garlic knots as appetizers. The mozzarella cheese sticks were good. The garlic knots were not knots but instead were really messy rolls. I had to go wash my hands after eating these. The menu included Hawaiian pizza and fettuccine alfredo pasta which are both not authentic Italian dishes. The service seemed slow but there was only one waitress managing six tables. We were with an impatient child though also. The waitress tried taking away a sauce from under me that I was still using while eating. Also the tables were too close together. I had to ask my family member to get up just so I could get out of my seat without bumping into the stranger at the next table. We got the Bianco 14 inch pizza that we shared among all of us at the table. The pizza was thin crust it tasted just average. The size was enough for all of us and extra to take home. Overall this place is just average American Italian like Olive Garden. read more

Rude! Very slow on orders... I ordered a large cheese pizza online from them, they said it was ready then when I came inside with my children. They kept passing over my order to the uber drivers and would not hand me a cheese pizza. Will never return! I waited inside for 40 mins with my children for a to go order they said was ready on my text message. read more

Driving home from Orlando and was looking for something casual. A quick look through Yelp and we found this local restaurant. We stopped in and glad we did. This is located in a strip mall anchored by a Publix. Hard to see inside as the restaurant has window coverings that protect those inside from the sun. Inside is casual with multiple tables. We had a very short wait as they cleared off a table. We reviewed the menu and quickly came up with our order. An antipasto salad and a Grandma pizza The salad was quite good and loaded with various meats and olives. The Grandma pizza was excellent. A little different than others we've had but still tasty. They loaded the top with fresh basil. 8 big slices. Obviously had plenty to bring home for another meal. Service was very friendly and helpful. Well done! read more

I can't believe I have not been here sooner! After seeing a few recommendations for this place online, I knew it was time for me check out this local spot. I have been to New York a few times and a restaurant I really enjoyed had Vodka sauce pizza, something I have not really seen in Florida often. So when I saw it on this menu, I knew I had to try it! This was a take out order so this review will mainly highlight the food. However in my brief exchange with the staff they were friendly and made my check out quick and seamless! The inside also had a clean dine-in area where many families were enjoying their meals. When I got to bring the vodka pizza and the BBQ pizza and opened the box, wow! What a sight to see! It looked amazing and my party was very happy to see how delicious everything looked. Luckily the presentation matched the flavor, because we thoroughly enjoyed the food! We are hoping to come back soon and try the margherita pizza, because the photos I have seen for that look great! read more

Lil Vinny's opened up int he Publix shopping center near my home. Parking is plentiful as there is a big lot. We ordered takeout from here which included calzones and garlic knots. The price and service were good. The calzones looked nice and were what you would expected.....I want not disappointed nor were they anything out of the ordinary calzone. Its a great place to get those if you want a solid calzone. The Garlic knots were a little underwhelming if I am being honest. They were not as solitary/fluffy as I would have liked and there was just sprinkled Parmesan randomly thrown on. They were not bad - per se.....but I wouldn't order them again based on my first experience. Overall, probably a consistent Italian shop for a quick bite. read more

This restaurant was fantastic. I am gluten intolerant and they use Italian imported pasta which is low in gluten when served el Dante. I had the spaghetti and meat sauce which was served at the perfect temperature. I was pleasantly surprised. Great experience, great waitstaff and food. This was our first experience with Lil Vinny's. The welcome when we walked in was wonderful. We started with garlic knots. They were good. Plenty of garlic and butter on top. The sauce was delicious and is full of fresh herbs and garlic. The calzones were good. My wife felt like the cheese could've been seasoned a little more. She had to add some salt. Food is fantastic. Service is Better. Dine In and Take Out are both equally as enjoyable. Don't have anything negative to say. To be more specific, I love their pizzas. My wife raves about their baked ziti and salads. I work nearby and live 30 miles away we've eaten on-site a few times together and enjoyed take out multiple times. Not only do we think this is the best pizza around their manager really goes above and beyond. We had an issue with our order through door dash, not only did the manager Diana deal with door dash she had us a new order made and delivered by her staff ( they don't do their own deliveries). Disclaimer - I have only ordered take out. Lil Vinny's is located in the Publix plaza on Winter Springs Blvd. My husband and I have ordered take out from Lil Vinny's a couple times since we live around the corner. Service - Again, this is based on take out only. Both times we placed orders we were greeted when we entered and pickup was quick and easy. Food - B-. My first time I ordered the Linguine Clam Sauce pasta. I am not sure if it was because the dish was take out but I wasn't impressed. My husband ordered the Carbonara pasta which he enjoyed. I unfortunately wasn't able to try it because the dish has raw egg and being pregnant, raw eggs are a big no no. Our second time taking out we ordered the veggie pesto pizza. The pizza is with a pesto base, fresh spinach, broccoli and tomatoes. I would describe it as a salad on a pizza. It was very different, very healthy. I do hope to dine in one day and see if my experience is any different. read more

Well balanced pizza. Sauce and mozzarella on point where the cupped pepperoni and sausage made itself known in full display on the pie. I would give it a 5 but the crust didn't reach that level on the five category. Crust is tricky and takes considerable refinement and care. Overall a solid 4 making it a very delicious and a new go-to for us in Oviedo. There are no lies told this place has amazing pizza I would highly suggest the Margarita Pizza who ever made my pizza truly made it with love it was sooo perfect I didn't want to eat it ! We finally made it here after seeing a ton of coupons in the mail and being huge fans of Italian food. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and were invited to sit wherever we wanted. It was relatively full but we learned during our meal that many of the patrons were either family, close friends, or regulars. None of that is bad but we did notice who we assumed to be Vinny spending a significant amount of time at one table with an older couple, leaning in and whispering. For such a small restaurant, it was really obvious. Anyway, the service was good, the garlic knots were just ok, I could use more butter and garlic, they were large and somewhat dry since all the seasoning seemed to be just on top. The calzones were large and tasted pretty good. Mine wasn't as piping hot as I usually like and I think you can see from the picture that the cheese wasn't oozing. The ricotta, which is the star of a calzone, was kind of bland and lacked seasoning. I ended up needing to use salt to get some more flavor. I liked the marinara, it was tangy and flavorful. All in all, the experience was not the best but not bad. I would give them another shot. I love a mom and pop Italian restaurant, especially in my home town, so hoping our experience was a one off. read more

Claim to have New York style pizza. But not even close, as someone who lived in NY for 20 years plus this pizza is not it and if you're from New York and moved to Florida. Stay the hell away from this place. The pizza wasn't even good. I got the bbq pie the other took one bite and threw the entire pie in the trash. Sloppy pizza and everything fell apart. Lil Vinny's Smelled the delicious aroma of garlic in the air while visiting the Publix Plaza. Checked out the name of the restaurant where it was emanating from: Lil Vinny's. Went home to check out their menu. Placed an order. If you LOVE GARLIC as much as I do, you will LOVE their GARLIC KNOTS. They have the BEST in Oviedo! The pizza is exactly like NY pizza (I am from NY) with a thin crispy crust. Great sauce! The meatballs were delicious! Loved the salad with chickpeas! This place will become my FAVORITE PLACE. This place is the real deal. The pizza was a perfect balance of cheese, dough, and sauce. The pepperoni was of a superior quality. Our calzone was equally delicious with plenty of cheese and toppings to delight the mouth. Just went to heaven! Can I say these mussels in the white wine lemon butter broth was amazing! I actually took the remaining broth home to pour on pasta tomorrow. The Sicilian pizza with double pepperoni and sauce was great! The chicken marsala was delicious! The two pieces of chicken were very tender and surrounded by fresh mushrooms in a nice marsala sauce. You can actually taste the marsala wine! The owner Alex was working like crazy and just such a nice guy. Our server did a great job. We went about 7:00 p.m. and every table was full. Outstanding! My wife was in the hospital and told me to get something to eat. I found this place for a quick bite. In a Publix shopping plaza and the windows are nicely covered with a sun shade, but when you walk in the place is warm and has a high end feel. Nice floors, wooden tables, comfortable chairs, open floor plan with the pizza ovens in view. Very clean and inviting. Was immediately welcomed by the pretty girl behind the counter. Sat down and "Miriam" came by to take my drink order. I had the Pepperoni Stromboli. It was HUGE and excellent. I took 1/2 home. But you can see by the picture and presentation very appetizing. You guys! This place is legit! I'm from jersey my husband is a New Yorker. We are always looking for good pizzerias in the area. Coming from the northeast we find it so what hard to find good pizza down here. We have crossed a couple of good places, but this one may have been the winner so far for us. Next time I'm going to ask for it well done, but their all's vodka pie was thin and the flavor was incredible! I was thrown off by the pesto on the Grandma pie. Wow! Just wow! The pesto needs to be on there. The amount of flavor this pizza had was amazing! For FL pizza, it's pretty good! That to me says a lot! I want to add how great the place looks and how sweet and fun the staff is. The owner (the wife) is so sweet. She really will go above and beyond to give you the best service. You'll get the service you are looking for here. This place makes you feel like you're going to fit in like family. Pizzerias to me are a comfort and all about family. This place feels that way. My husband, friend and I ordered for takeout on a Friday night as we were excited to try out the new place that has been buzzing around. We got the garlic knots, margarita pizza, and the Vinny's special calzone. The service was quick even on a Friday night as they told us it would be ready in 30 minutes and my husband said he didn't have to wait at all when he went to pick it up. The garlic knots were good, not great. They were just a lot of dough and not a lot of flavor and I felt the same about the calzone dough as well. The margarita pizza was yummy and I really liked the sauce. However, the bottom of the pizza was burnt and definitely did take away from the taste of the pizza. Bummer. The calzone was probably the best part of the meal this night. It was stuffed with veggies and meat and lots of cheese. It was cooked well and was yummy. I'm sad the pizza was burnt otherwise I would've given it a higher rating. I will definitely try this place again because it's so close to our house and prices are reasonable. I'm interested in trying the mussels and some pasta dishes next time. read more
