This place is awesome!! I love how it was such a local hangout right in the middle of their little town center! It had so many different quick service restaurants that I really wanted to try them all! But we came for Buttercrust Pizza and it did not disappoint! There is plenty of seating everywhere and they did have an indoor bar area with high tops too! We are not local but wished we were do we could have a fun place to take our family when they come in! The pepperoni rolls were fire! So divine and delicious! And the 4 slice pizza was the perfect size!! Buttery crust-gooey cheese and a great crunch!! Will definitely come back I try more!

If you're in Oviedo and craving amazing pizza, look no further than Buttercrust Pizza! I came here to meet up with some friends at Food Factory and ordered it because I was starving and now I can't stop raving about their incredible thin-crust pizza--it's so flavorful and hits the spot every single time. As a fan of thin crust, this one stole the show for me. The balance of crispiness and rich, savory toppings is perfection. Now, let's talk about the chicken wings--WOW. If you're new here, I LOVE CHICKEN WINGS! They were cooked to perfection, juicy, and packed with flavor. Definitely some of the best wings I've had in the area! Since we were sitting in the bar area, we ordered online and then picked up but the little customer service we received was excellent. I was only picking up after all. Eating pizza, drinking beer and listening to live music - a stellar evening! I thought maybe it was because I was so hungry and that the pizza was so good but I recently ordered their pan crust pizza, and while it's equally delicious, the thin crust is my personal favorite. So, it was still incredibly delicious when I wasn't starving :D Highly recommend!

If you are a fan of pan, deep-dish, and/or Sicilian style pizzas, then Buttercrust Square pizza is perfect for you! We tried the buttercrust Square with pepperoni and a classic round with pepperoni. The sauce is heavenly flavored and the cup pepperonis are classicly slightly spicy which blends perfectly with the sharpness of the cheese! This is definitely my new fave spot for pan style pizza!

Oviedo Food Factory-Although we didn't try the pizza, I would highly recommend the delicious wings! I had the Garlic Parmesan, and my girlfriend had the Buffalo. They make their own ranch dressing and it was VERY tasty. We couldn't decide between the ranch and the blue cheese for our dipping sauces, so he gave us both!! The blue cheese, although it was not homemade, was really delicious as well. We were visiting the food factory, for a pop-up event, and decided to have a drink and a bite to eat. What I love about this establishment is that you can order your food, and then sit in the pub and have a drink while eating. Plenty of space to hang out outdoor or indoors. I can't say that all of the restaurants are delicious because I've only tried a couple of them. The reviews are a little low for most of the restaurants. Service at Buttercrust Pizza was impeccable. He delivered our wings, to us, in the pub. Now that is service! We definitely will be back.

I opted for a cauliflower crust pizza and I chose my own toppings. The cauliflower crust was surprisingly crunchy and really tasty. I love a savory pizza sauce that's not too sweet, and this sauce was perfect! The ingredients also tasted fresh. I do think it could've been cooked for an additional 1-2 minutes. The only downside is that you can't order using the QR code like you can from the other restaurants. They also won't bring the food to your seat and you have to pick it up. It wasn't very busy when I was there and the guy saw where I was sitting so he was nice enough to bring it to me, which I appreciated. If you're looking for a healthier option at the food factory, a cauliflower pizza is the way to go!

This is one of the worst things that has happened to be in quite some time. This Buttercrust Pizza has opened up literally 150 yards away from my front door. My attempts at proper nutrition, throw it out the window. This pizza is so spectacular, it will certainly be my downfall. But in all seriousness, this is very good pizza. There are a few crust options, but the star of the show is the Buttercrust Square Pan. We tried their main Signature Pizza, the Kickin' Hawaiin (Ham, bacon, and sweet chili pineapple). And wow! First, let's talk about the crust. It is a hybrid of the ever underrated Detroit-style pizza crust and the personal pan pizza from Pizza wHut. Put them both together, and you have this Buttercrust pizza. But the crust has more of a depth of... butteriness, if I dare say that. I can't explain it. You'll just have to try it for yourself. Maybe I'm just super suggestable. The toppings on top of this magnificent crust were perfect. Too many pizzas have heavy topping density in the center of their pie, and then it tapers off near the edges. Amateurs. The topping distribution was absolutely even on every single one of the nine slices here. Professionals. And the toppings themselves were great. The ham was thick and square and in your face. The bacon was very present and added a little smokiness to the whole thing. And the pineapple was everywhereee, adding that needed sweet heat to every bite. So grab your favorite slice type, corner vs edge vs middle, and chow down. We also had the Spinach-Artichoke Pinwheels (Cheesy pinwheels rolled up with marinara and pepperoni). These were awesome! Cheese bombs with a hefty amount of spinach and artichokes. It added that greenness I didn't think I needed from my cheese bombs. Yum. Overall, I'm currently looking at moving. I stare out my window at night now, yearning for more. Delicious pizza. The best I have had in Seminole County. I've already been twice. Will keep going.

Pros: This restaurant is a 5 minute walk away from my front door, that's a major pro. Lol. It's in a food hall, so if you are going out with friends, and some of them don't want pizza, they'll have other options. They'll want this pizza, though, because it is absolutely amazing. The best pizza in Oviedo. They also had great sounding apps, like the spinach artichoke cheese balls we had. Cons: There are no cons. Not a single one. Tips: Get the Kickin' Hawaiian pizza, and get it in a square!

    Corey R.

In my opinion the buttercrust square is the best food item at Oviedo Food Factory! It's honestly probably in my top 2-3 of pizza I've ever had! Everything about the crust and cheese is all goodness. I'm going to give them a 5 star but my only downside is that the pizza is expensive. A full buttercrust just cheese is $20 but the ones with toppings are almost $30. But OMG it's good to splurge every now and again on it. They should offer this pizza by the slice. And the fact that you get the atmosphere of that the Food Factory gives I would recommend on a Friday evening.

We had lunch here today. We ordered at the kiosk and they brought the food out to our table. We got the meatball sub, meat personal size square pizza and the bianca personal square. The food was delicious. I want to try the other micro restaurants nearby too.

    Sloppy preparation.

We've eaten buttercrust about a dozen times and I'm seeing the attention to quality drop pretty rapidly. A few weeks ago (early May '24) they forgot to notify me the order was ready. Thirty minutes after it was finished they gave me a room temperature pizza. They made a new one, but only after I walked to my car, at which point I noticed the bottom of the box wasn't hot. Today, we ordered this hastily prepared pizza in the picture. I don't want to eat most of my cheese and pepperoni on three slices. On top of having to knock on the window to get someone's attention so I could pay for this disheveled pie. When it's right, it's great. But you've got two strikes.

One of the best pizzas I've tried in Orlando. I loved the Granny's Pretty Mess since it had three different sauces: pesto, vodka, and marinara. The crust was also amazing. Don't forget to order the Cheese Bombs. everything was so amazing and they both had insane cheese pulls. I'll definitely be back for some more pizza. We also enjoyed some cocktails from The Food Factory Oviedo. It was such a cute and fun spot! - Granny's Pretty Mess - Cheese Bombs

Pizza. The one in the box is the issue. The other pic is from last week.
    John G.

The pizza wasn't made as usual, and I'm buy the same pizza every week. The pizza was super covered with black olives. Then they placed in a box instead what I'd asked for. Just an uncomfortable situation.

They ferment their dough for 72 hours before serving. Most of their pizza menu is different from what passes for pizza in the US today, but it's nothing you haven't seen if you're a true pizza lover who appreciates authentic pies. You will find arugula, burrata, calabrese, and more here. If you can't find a pizza on the menu that ticks all your boxes, you can also make your own. In particular, for my ricotta lovers, I must insist you try their "star" pizzas where they pinch around the pizza edge to make little ricotta pouches. Think stuffed crust pizza only much, much better! The inside of the restaurant is nice, but definitely casual. Service was great. They do offer takeout and work with the DoorDash types but we found this pizza doesn't travel as well since it's so thin and chills quickly. Eat in if you can. The prices here are a bit higher than I would expect, especially since the toppings are a bit on the skimpy side, but that's really my only complaint. Definitely try this place out when you're craving REAL pizza!

I wanted a quick, delicious dinner one evening before heading out on a road trip the next day. So I swung by to see what this recent move-in had to offer sleepy little Oviedo. Ambiance was very, well, Oviedo. A giant mural adorned the wall. Chickens, the Welcome sign, even a sandhill crane. It was very pretty. Service was superb. There was a nice cashier lady who gave off a owner or manager aura. We talked through the menu together and came up with a couple of delicious options for me to order. Option one was the Tikka Chicken Pizza (Tikka Sauce, garlic, fresh mozzarella, red onions, tomatoes on a Naan crust topped with cilantro). This thing was a lot of fun! A nice, thin, crispy crust, and mozz. But accompanied by a delicious tikka sauce. A little freshness from the onions and the tomatoes, and you have a very nice pie here. Something like that pizza is something a kid would try, or a subdued palate adult would try, and act as a gateway dish that would get them deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole that is the best cuisine on the planet. And I accented the whole meal with a cheesey, garlicky naan. Which is probably universally accepted as the best bread on the planet. Love that naan. Wash it all down with a mango lassi, and this place knocked my socks off. I don't know what brought them here to Oviedo, but I sure am glad they came. It was one of those places, where it's on my list but I think I just never ended up going. That is until recently to the Lake Mary location. Mister 01 has many, many locations all over Florida. So the history is that a chef who was raised in Southern Italy came to Florida and set up his first shop in Miami. It was so popular that they've expanded to Georgia, North Carolina, and even Texas. Their claim to fame is they have some specialized pizzas where the crust is folded and the whole pie kind of resembles a star. They even have a special pizza that has coffee on it, not that it's the one I got but I think it's very unique. We got there on a Friday night and it was very busy. It was about a 20-30 minute wait. Conveniently, they have a trail right behind the building, so we walked a part of it while waiting and it was a nice walk at sunset. It's really fun to be seated and enjoy as you can see the cooking and baking process while getting a slightly high end dining experience. Not that it was that expensive, but it felt slightly more elevated than a Domino's. I got the Star Luca. The Star Luca is a star shaped pizza with ricotta, mozzarella, tomato sauce, spicy salami Calabrese, and basil. The 20 inch costs $20.99. My rating for this one is a 9.5/10. I mean it was insanely delicious. They bring a spicy olive oil to the table, which I loved and used. The crust is so cool that it's filled with ricotta. So it feels like you got the best parts of a calzone and a pizza into one, if I am being honest. I also got a flute of Prosecco Clara C', which was a sparkling white wine with notes of apple. It was good, although a bit pricey at $14.95 a glass. For dessert, we tried the Nutella banana calzone, which was recommended by our waiter. This was an 8/10. It was really good and sweet. I liked that they use their own fermented dough, which is another cool note. My overall rating of this place is a 9/10. I mean the food is really really good. There is a clear reason for how busy it is. It's a step up from your casual pizza joint, but I enjoyed it.

I ordered the Marco and my friend ordered the star Beckham. Both were delicious, light and the crust was very thin and crunchy. For dessert, we ordered the Nutella banana calzone and it was gooey, warm and the perfect sweet treat. Despite how busy it was, we were only there for about an hour. So, sadly, I cannot speak to the food, and for now, my rating will remain squarely in the middle until I have the opportunity to try their food options. With that said, my rating is also in the middle because the service was SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. While it was dinnertime, the restaurant itself was not super packed. I opted to sit at the bar and sat there for about 10 mins before anyone serviced me. Had I known it would have been that slow, I'd have gone to the restaurant next door. Again, I just wanted a beverage as I waited for my time to pass for my hair appointment at the salon in the same shopping plaza. By the time I got my house glass of pinot grigio, it was time to pay my tab and go to my appointment. So, much of the time was eaten up in simply waiting for a bartender to service me; I was a little put off. In fact, they did not find anyone to service the bar area until it was about three of sitting there. Anyways, despite that, the staff was actually very kind. They did apologize for the wait, but you know what they say about first impressions. While I won't be letting this deter me from actually giving them a proper try, I will keep this first experience in the back of my head. Despite this, the venue is spacious. They have ample indoor and outdoor seating. The bar seating is limited, but they have enough. The environment seemed lively and very family-friendly. Also, pricing is GREAT! Their entire menu is very reasonable - so that is a plus! It is located in a shopping plaza, so there is more than enough parking. Again, I'll be back to give them another try and see if they are able to sway my opinions any further.

These things are huge, thin crusted, and unless you possess some serious pizza folding skills, best approached with a fork and knife. First up was Jason's Mom's Slice (JMS): tomato sauce, chicken, sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions, tomatoes, ranch, Jason's Mom's sauce, and mozzarella. Flavor wise, this was my favorite of the two. The caramelized onions were especially good, although I wish they had been distributed a little more evenly across the slice. My only real issue was the crust had quite a bit of sag. I suspect the large tomato slices placed directly on the crust released moisture as they cooked, making an already thin crust difficult to support. Next was the Meaty McMeatface Slice (MMS), loaded with tomato sauce, birria beef, ground beef, pepperoni, bacon, and mozzarella. They aren't kidding about the "meaty" part. The birria was the star and added a nice depth of flavor, but overall I found this slice a little dry. A side of Jason's Mom's sauce would probably have been the perfect companion, although it comes with an additional $1.50 charge. I also ordered the small Greek salad, which was anything but small. It came loaded with perfectly ripe tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, black olives, fetta and pepperoncini. The menu lists romaine lettuce, but what I received looked and tasted more like escarole or frisee, with a noticeable bitterness. I'm not certain what the green actually was, but it definitely didn't taste like romaine. The menu also mentions roasted red peppers, though I couldn't find any in my portion. I liked the dressing, but the salad could have used a little seasoning. I didn't see salt anywhere around the bar where I was sitting. Maybe there was some near the drink station, but apparently, I wasn't motivated enough to launch a salt expedition. The ordering process is straightforward. Walk in, order from the counter underneath the overhead menus, grab your drink, and find a seat. I asked for water and was initially handed a small plastic cup for the self-serve station. I asked if I could get a cold beer pint glass instead, and they happily accommodated the request. Thank you! A small gesture, but one I appreciated. There is plenty of seating, although the bar stools where I sat felt sufficiently rickety to make me question their structural integrity every time I shifted my weight. Total damage was about $37 including a 20% tip. To be fair, the portions are substantial. I boxed up leftover pizza and salad and finished them for breakfast the following morning, so there was certainly plenty of food. Still, for two slices and a small salad at a counter service pizza joint, the final tab felt a bit steep. Overall, some very good flavors and gigantic portions with a few execution and value issues. Jason's Mom won this round, although next time I might ask her to go a little easier on the tomatoes. And yes, giant cold pizza for breakfast remains one of life's underrated pleasures.
