This place is new to us! Today was the first time we had it and it was a great experience! We ordered an 18", half sausage and pepperoni and veggie for the other half. The service was great they made ordering super easy. I don't know how the sausage and pepperoni was because my kids ate all of it before I could taste. They did mention it was delicious. From seeing it, it was loaded really good with meat. Most of the surface was covered. The veggie half was amazing!! Loaded with veggies, everything was cooked and seasoned well. The veggies tasted fresh not previously frozen. Usually a veggie pizza feels light, this pizza was hearty! Went in and ordered the DIABLO PIZZA (Ricotta, hot capicola & mike's hot honey) to go. I did not need to wait long at all, and soon I was on my way out with the pizza in hand. The place is new and feels like it. Ordering is around the corner from when you walk in, which feels a little out of place, but not enough to worry about. They do make "Roman" versions of all their offerings, which is the square style like Sicilian pizza, but I have yet to try that version. The pizza is great! Coming from the tri-state area, this is great news. I wish it was a little thinner but otherwise, this reminds me of home. read more

Just moved to the area and decided to pop in and grab a large pizza to bring home to my family. The pizza is definitely New York style was foldable crust, cheesy big slices-actually very good. The only reason I didn't get five stars is the pizza man told me 10 minutes and it ended up taking more like 25 :-) other than slower timing I would definitely return. Tried Esca's last night. I heard it was "so much more than pizza" and that's true. Big variety of pizza by the slice along with whole pizzas but my friend and I went for lasagna and eggplant parm. Not sure why the Parm came with a side salad and lasagna came with nothing but the entrees were great. Prices were reasonable for portions big enough to take some home. Service was also awesome. This new pizza place is fantastic. Dining in it reminds me of Tomasinos. Minimal dining with the counter being the first thing you see. The cheese pizza was fantastic. The sauce and cheese harmonized beautifully. The burrata slice was super tasty however it wasn't very warm when served so I'm not sure if the slices aren't warmed extensively or if they just forgot to warm the slices. The service was friendly and super fast. We will definitely be back. So glad to have a good pizza joint nearby. read more

Pizza by the slice was definitely no bueno. Grab-n-go seemed smart because we were in a hurry and there were multiple prepared pies presented in the front case. Unfortunately none of us cared for the hard as a rock crust of any of the 3 slices - 2 regular and 1 Grandma - we picked up. Additionally, the slices were very small compared to Bronx just down the street. Bronx sells the typical 18" slice. Esca sells a much smaller 16"(?) slice with the edge crust taking up way too much of the slice. Come on, man. Pizza by the slice is simple. The owner was very polite and friendly and engaged with everyone in the small dining room. But the older woman who took our order seemed befuddled. She was quite slow and we had to repeat our request for toppings multiple times. Even then, the owner had to correct the pizza chef because she didn't communicate our order to him correctly. And it took more than 10 minutes in the oven to get our food in a almost empty dining room to get our order. Clearly the ovens need to be hotter. Our slices were not good. Surprised us that they were so universally bad at 6:30 on a Thur night. Fresh pizza is easy and should be expected during dinner time. Not at Esca. Maybe buying the whole pizza is preferred at this place. For now, we'll keep going to Bronx. Their slices always taste great; they get our order right every time; and they're much quicker. read more

The pizza isn't bad and I like their chicken Parm. I don't recommend the cheesesteak eggroll though. Not worth five dollars for 1 and it has a weird aftertaste and texture. Makes me think it's premade frozen. They also charge an additional five dollars if you want extra cheese on your pizza which I think it's kind of crazy. read more

Didn't eat here, so my rating is not based on the food quality. Instead, it's based on lies. They price their pizza at 19.95 but when you get to the cashier, it's $23 and change. This is NOT tax, they are charging over 10% (they say it's 4, they should get some math lessons) for using a credit card. And they don't say anything about it, they just hope you'll pay. First time I order online I didn't get any Marinara sauce with the garlic knots. Second time I was going to order them, I called the restaurant and asked, does the knots come with Marinara sauce, and they said "YES". So I placed my order, No Sauce again. I called and they said you have to add it to the order on the website. There was no way to add it on the website. The pizza was good, but the doughy knots where terrible. Order at your our risk. My family is Italian, and we were born and raised in Chicago, so we are used to quality authentic food. Since moving to Florida, we have tried many pizza places, and none have felt like home until we tried Esca's. It's a family run business, and the whole family was so welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. You can see the pizza being made from your table, and the interaction among staff you can tell that everyone is happy to work there. The ingredients are visible so you can see exactly what the pizza is made of (organic and imported from Italy which is how it should be but very rare to find). I'm originally from Pittsburgh area and have been in the Orlando area for a while now, and I have yet to experience good or authentic NY pizza. There have been many claims but they have all fallen well short of anything close. Until today! This nice little shop is as authentic as it gets, the owners are passionate and put their heart and soul into the pizza and you can tell. Also they have pizza by the slice. (That seems to be something most places around here know nothing about). Their ingredients are high quality and their dough and ovens are legit! I'm no Dave Portony but it had zero flop and a nice crisp undercarriage. The sauce was nice between sweet and tangy. And the cheese and pepperoni were quality and cooked to perfection. I'd give this a 9.2/10 if I had to rate it on one bite status. I highly recommend this place (if you like high quality authentic NY pizza)! Went to Escas for the first time a few weeks ago and going back tomorrow night. I can't wait. It was absolutely delicious. I'm a New Yorker and it was like Scotty beamed me up to Long Island for dinner. The shrimp franchese was incredible. Haven't had it that good since I lived in NY. The ziti and meat sauce was delicious. The sauce is not pasty or over seasoned. Just letting the tomatoes do their thing. The bread is homemade and melts in your mouth. And the pizza is awesome. They actually put sautéed peppers rather than raw on the pizza like they would in NY. The grandma pizza was amazing. I think it is fresh mozzarella but not 100% sure. Just yummy! The family who owns it is very welcoming. They have another store in NY. No wonder it is so good. I highly recommend Escas Pizza! read more
