Large Stromboli (enough for 2 BIG eaters)
    Ben K.

I randomly tried this pizza place over a decade ago by chance. It got good reviews and wasn't too far from the house so why not try it out. A decade later and I still crave the strombolis here! They're the best of any place I've ever been - even NYC and other countries. For $15 you get a large stromboli with one topping of your choice that two very big eaters can barely finish. The dough is cooked perfectly with a slightly crisp exterior and a very pillowy soft interior. It's coated with a garlic-butter type spread, but lightly, and just right. The sauce is the best part, it's a perfect sauce for a stromboli - not too thick, not too thin and bursting with flavor. There's enough cheese to cover 3 pizzas and they are extremely generous on the "toppings". Occasionally I'll try something else - such as the pizza if I'm going to a friend's house to watch a game. Everyone is always really impressed with the pizza. It's not really NYC style - it's a bit of a softer doughier crust than that - but I love it. And the taste of the dough, the quality of the cheese and the amazing sauce make it a huge win. I actually prefer this to real NYC style pizza. It's a small place and the service is always good, refilling your drinks as they get low and a smiling face as they drop off your food, take your order, etc. Expect to see the same few servers every time you go in - it's that kind of place.

Large extra cheese and sauce (I know I love messy pizza. My favorite. The dough is thin and chewy and crunchy just like home.

This place has been my favorite since I moved here. It is the ONLY pizzeria in central Florida that can say "New York pizza' the small mom and pop place with amazing everything. Service, food and the real feel of a pizzeria. I love Torino's and I won't eat anywhere else!!

    Bruschetta pizza

Great service, good pizza, and an even better price. What's not to love? I ordered the bruschetta pizza with pizza sauce on the side. It was delicious. The garlic knots were great as well. I tried a piece of the baked ziti pizza and loved that as well. It's an "eat with a fork" pizza, but eating carbs on top of carbs is a necessary evil sometimes.

We have not been here in a long time. We had a craving for pizza and stopped in. The young lady serving us was brilliant and attentive. But the pizza - wow. I honestly don't remember the last time I saw "freshness" on the pizza like this. The peppers were so green. The olives were giant. And nice, filling pieces too. I only wish I could have gotten wings too - but I had to control myself.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. Started off with some garlic knots and ended with a couple pizzas. The whole table really enjoyed the Meat Extreme Pizza, which had (actually a pretty average amount of) sausage, pepperoni, ham, and bacon. Overall, Torino's has better value than some other pizzerias in the area and the food was solid. The marinara sauce with the knots was particularly good. They had some really nice folks on staff, too. We will be back for sure.

Very generous amount of chicken to this amazing salad and that's what keeps me coming back- aside from the prompt speed of service and friendly staff. Great meal and it comes with a garlic knot!

Chicken parmigiana (yes... that is "chicken")

Only good part was our waitress who was super kind and sweet. But oh my god the food was genuinely so bad. I'm a big girl and I ain't picky but I couldn't even eat this. I was starving when I came in and got the garlic bread and chicken parmigiana, my boyfriend got a pizza. They gave us ONE garlic roll and some sub bread with garlic sauce slathered on it. My chicken was so burnt and bland, I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. The pizza tasted frozen. It was so awful that all I could think of was what Gorden Ramsey would say, as this was the type of stuff you only see on kitchen nightmares. As far as the vibe, it's lowkey and needs renovating but its not too bad. I definitely would not recommend this place unless you want to go comically to see just how bad it is.

I am always on the lookout for the perfect NY/NJ style pizza, and Torino's delivers (literally)! The pizza may be a little on the pricy side, but that would be my only quibble. Loved the crust! It had some bite, but still quite foldable. The sauce had a great flavor and the pie was perfectly cheesed and had the right amount of toppings. If they can stay consistent the next time I order, they may take the crown as my go to pizza joint!

I also enjoyed the walk through of the menu and the different dishes/pizza ordered. My friend and I started with the Burrata. It was phenomenal. I loved the flavor of the balsamic glaze. The rosemary focaccia bread was superb. For pizzas we decided upon the Star Beckham and the Marco. I really enjoyed the star shaped pizza. The triangle crust was packed with a good amount of ricotta cheese. There was lots of toppings and some of the freshest ingredient pizza I've ever had. The Marco pizza was good getting to try the stracciatella cheese for the first time. The restaurant is really cute. Its an intimate dining room area and you can see into the kitchen seeing the pizzas cooking. I had a great time here and a great meal.

They ferment their dough for 72 hours before serving. Most of their pizza menu is different from what passes for pizza in the US today, but it's nothing you haven't seen if you're a true pizza lover who appreciates authentic pies. You will find arugula, burrata, calabrese, and more here. If you can't find a pizza on the menu that ticks all your boxes, you can also make your own. In particular, for my ricotta lovers, I must insist you try their "star" pizzas where they pinch around the pizza edge to make little ricotta pouches. Think stuffed crust pizza only much, much better! The inside of the restaurant is nice, but definitely casual. Service was great. They do offer takeout and work with the DoorDash types but we found this pizza doesn't travel as well since it's so thin and chills quickly. Eat in if you can. The prices here are a bit higher than I would expect, especially since the toppings are a bit on the skimpy side, but that's really my only complaint. Definitely try this place out when you're craving REAL pizza!

So, sadly, I cannot speak to the food, and for now, my rating will remain squarely in the middle until I have the opportunity to try their food options. With that said, my rating is also in the middle because the service was SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. While it was dinnertime, the restaurant itself was not super packed. I opted to sit at the bar and sat there for about 10 mins before anyone serviced me. Had I known it would have been that slow, I'd have gone to the restaurant next door. Again, I just wanted a beverage as I waited for my time to pass for my hair appointment at the salon in the same shopping plaza. By the time I got my house glass of pinot grigio, it was time to pay my tab and go to my appointment. So, much of the time was eaten up in simply waiting for a bartender to service me; I was a little put off. In fact, they did not find anyone to service the bar area until it was about three of sitting there. Anyways, despite that, the staff was actually very kind. They did apologize for the wait, but you know what they say about first impressions. While I won't be letting this deter me from actually giving them a proper try, I will keep this first experience in the back of my head. Despite this, the venue is spacious. They have ample indoor and outdoor seating. The bar seating is limited, but they have enough. The environment seemed lively and very family-friendly. Also, pricing is GREAT! Their entire menu is very reasonable - so that is a plus! It is located in a shopping plaza, so there is more than enough parking. Again, I'll be back to give them another try and see if they are able to sway my opinions any further.

Simple, authentic, and executed flawlessly. The chicken sandwich was equally impressive. The chicken was crispy without being greasy, topped with fresh mozzarella and tomato on soft, fresh bread.
